- After a long search in several comic bookstores and online stores, you managed to acquire the most important comic books of all your favorite heroes. Well, almost all of them! Some rare and important editions are still missing from your collection. The first appearance of your favorite villain, that special edition that influenced a generation of story lines, the spetacular debut of the new uniform, the memorable confrontation with the archenemy and the valuable number one! You already know where to find them and you also know that you are not the only one in search of these precious gems. Will you be able to collect all the comics needed to be recognized as the greatest collector of all time?
Comic Hunters is divided into three rounds. In each round, players will visit three of the four locations where they can purchase Comic Book Cards. At the end of the round, players must place cards on the table to start or expand their collections. When adding a comic to a hero's collection, the player will move his markers on the icon tracks according to the Spotlight Icons of the new card in play (Number 1, First Appearance, New Visual, Special Edition and Memorable Clashes.). The further the player advances on each track, the more points he or she may get. In addition, each collection scores based on the number of cards it contains. After three rounds the player with most points is acclaimed as the greatest comic book collector of all time and wins the game!

Great Video, such a cool game.
@@whiskeygamesnerdstuff789 Thank you! It is a good one! Played it again last night. Super fun!
Thanks for the video! Just got a copy from Barnes & Nobles can't wait to play.
@@GamesOffTheShelf awesome! I hope you enjoy it as much as we have!
Great video. I am glad that I didn't pick up the Brazilian version for 4x the cost, but I do wish I could pay a little more for higher quality tokens. It looks like Etsy will help solve my problem.
@@ashrael37 Thank you for the comment and kind words! Yeah, I'm glad I didn't over pay too! Lol We were even talking about printing our own copies if we could find files. This might be the inspiration I need to buy a new 3d printer! (Looking at the bamboo A1)
So thrilled this game has finally arrived in the US and especially at the price point, but man did they make some poor choices on the English printing's production value. I actually sold my Brazilian copy in preparation to get the English copy and I really regret that now. The Brazilian copy was still a bit under produced imo but farrrr better than the English copy.
That's awesome that you were able to sell your Brazillian copy before what I imagine will be a value crash. Yeah, very bizarre they went that direction with the production!? Speaking of selling games before the new editions come out....I waited too long to sell my TMG Yokohama! lol
@@rollingwiththebeard Lol been there many times myself. I'm now wondering how long I hold onto Lord of the Rings The Confrontation with the new edition announced. I just love the game and don't want to let it go too soon so there's some big period where I don't have a copy lol
@@CardboardHunter I feel you! I sold my Thunderroad Maximum Chrome to get the new one (all in) and I am DYING to play some TRMC!
@@rollingwiththebeard I also just sold my Maximum Chrome but it was to fund my recent purchase of everything for Cave Evil 2nd Edition. I think I’ll buy the retail copy of TR. I feel like I just actually got it tabled when I just had the retail and that big box was just too much for a light game
@@CardboardHunter what!? Maximum Chrome is the bee's knees! Lol I want to strongly disagree with you but I do think I logged more Thunder Road plays on the retail version before I got Maximum Chrome!? 😆 🚗 🔥
Thx for the video, great energy
Did your cards all come cut correctly or were there some miss cut cards in there?
I wonder if a linen finish would’ve diminished the look of the comic covers in the game?
@@axétério thank you! My cards did not have any print or cutting issues. That is a good point about the linen finish. That may have made some of the details on the comics less visible?
I was under the impression that during the auction, the last player has to pay the value of the cards. For example, if there are 4 3-cost cards, the last player has to pay 12 stash. I was thinking that provided an incentive to aggressively bid to not be left last but maybe I’m wrong.
@@SoloBoardGamingKnight good catch and thank you for the comment! You are correct. And If the play does not have enough in their stash, the pick which cards they want/can afford.
@@rollingwiththebeard I was searching for clarifications on the rule and it turns out that the English version rulebook has an error. It is supposed to be 1 stash per card but the rulebook states paying the cards point value.
Also, I found out that there is a production issue with the English version. Many people are missing cards or have received doubles. I ended up counting mine and I wasn’t affected by it, thankfully. Other than these issues, this is a GREAT game!
@@SoloBoardGamingKnight thanks! I'll have to count my cards! So, you pay one stash per card....regardless of the cards value? It says the other way in the rulebook
This was a great video. Baby beard
@@mikefullen814 thank you Sir! I bet you say that to all the bearded boys
What does 1+2+1 equal? Lol
5 obviously!
