Ford played a blinder there, but England shouldn't rely on playing that way all the time. They need to use the backs more and keep teams guessing as to what they are going to do. That said, If Ford keeps this level of consistency going, I think they have a real chance of staying in the big games if they get to the later stages. maybe he's the new Johnny W?

A red? 😂 Stop it! Hats off to England for managing to eek out an ugly win, but whats the point in playing rugby if that's a straight red offence? May as well field a team of 5 footers at this rate to avoid any risk of head contact. I'm all for player safety but what on earth is curry supposed to do differently there, without letting the man jump right past him?

couldn't agree more. If that's a red in rugby then what's a punch to the face - lifetime ban?!
Curry is a clean, fearless player - the rules need to also protect players like him. In this case, a player jumping and landing should be a mitigating factor. If Curry went in low he might get a boot in the eyes or a knee in the head

Rugby as this game proves is about more than scoring tries, its about developing a strategy to win, on the hoof, when your main game plan goes out of the window after 3mins. On that basis this was a Rugby masterclass.

As an Argentine, with sportsmanship and respect I congratulate the English team.
On the other hand, I comment with pain that the poor and bad performance of the Argentine team only shows the socioeconomic debacle that Argentine society is suffering due to the deplorable government that we have in the last decades, which affects our rugby players.

Take a page out of the South African playbook... sports teams must rise above the mess the politicians create in the country and play their hearts and souls out for their nation. They are the beacon the people need to never give up, to stand together and fight the powers that be. Chin up, good luck on your next game!🇿🇦

England couldn't win by using their forwards to bundle the ball over so they found another way. Forwards kept possession and Ford did the rest. Hugely impressive ,its about having the players with the skill to be adaptable enough to do some thing different depending on the situation you find yourself in.

Argentina will get better. England might have found a way of playing that will work for tournament Rugby. Maybe they can find a way to Finnish a game with 15 men on the field too
