As an Ichinose fan, I am conflicted with that ending scene… Nevertheless the volume was great as expected, I really liked Suzune’s growth and how she handled Sudo’s confession.
From the scene, it seems that it's finally Honami's time to shine. Tbh I don't think she'll be able to stand to the likes of Ryuuen and Arisu from day 1, but if Honami V4 comes back, she'll be one hell of an opponent. After all, she managed to beat Kouji and spare him 😁
I think Ayanokoji is trying to build up the better leaders to surpass the white room. Maybe even himself. Kiyo doesn't seem to be attacking to ascend now that he's protected. I think he's realized that the white room is using Kiyotaka to destroy the school (their biggest competition for advanced japanese education) and ruin it's public image by having the most intelligent (Arisu) the strongest (Ryuen) and the Most compassionate (Ichinose) leaders all fall to a single white room student. I think Kiyo has realized that and is helping the others become better leaders. Teaching Ryuen that violence has it's limits (by beating him senseless.) Ichinose that a warm hand doesn't produce results without action(by letting her drown to ryuen and sakayanagi) and Sakayanagi that she alone can't be the only leader (By luring her and distraction her from her class, causing them to lose without a good structure) there must be more. Horikita had the most obvious errors and she's already fixing all of them. She has open discussions which the other classes really don't. She has each students strengths and weaknesses accounted for, pseudo leaders (Hirata for Boys and Kei for Girls) as well as learned the difference between independence and isolation. Kiyo is building the school to beat him.
I love how the other groups are all so dramatic, while Koenji is just vibing 🤣. I'm waiting for December, because one of my favorite series gets a new volume at the 20th. I'm just waiting for the illustrations to drop. And I have been playing Pokemon all week. But damn, Ayanokoji really is a harem protagonist. I really wonder how this will end.
I love the small details in this volume. Amasawa (unsurprisingly) being bisexual, kei spending the night with kiyo, Ryueen being a gentlemen in his own way by telling kiyo to give the girl his gloves/dropkicking a guy, koenji being an absolute menace as always, but with a horse this time, kiyo fucking with chabashira by messing with her massage chair, Ibuki acting like a kid on Christmas when she beats horikita, etc. Feels like this volume had more little details than usual

I love the dynamic between Ryuen & Ayanokoji ever since Kiyo beat the piss out of him & proved so undoubtedly how superior he is. It’s almost comical how their dynamic is anymore after that incident, & honestly Ryuen become one of Kiyo’s best pawns now & somewhat ally in circumstances (kind of.. lol)
