@@XcaptainXobliviousX - Thank you for the comment and I’m glad the algorithm worked in our favor. Sometimes it is hard for a small channel to break through, but we keep trying! And hopefully people find interest. Thanks again! Peace! Patrick
That was the most helpful yet amusing demonstration of how to put together harbor freight products. I’m not knocking them, but they certainly need more information in their instructions.
Thanks for the comment and appreciating the humor. I like to say ‘If we’re not having fun we’re doing it wrong’. I’m glad you found the video useful and I totally agree with you on the instructions. Always a little to be desired. But I am a fan of Harbor Freight. Take care and be safe! Cheers! Patrick
I just assembled my 14" bandsaw and come to the conclusion they should have put a 3 foot tall China kid in the box with it as a laborer to put it together. My old finger and bone went through hell but I got it done. Quite a few WTF moments and a few arm scratches the made be have to clean up my blood from the floor. The smallest scratch bleeds like a stuck pig these days. Getting old kinds sucks but the reward of success makes it all worth it I guess. Thank you sir for the very helpful video.. Peace, Be safe.
Thanks for the comment and I’m with you on the idea of putting a kid in the box. He could have helped me lift it up onto the stand. Im getting old too. Well at least my body, I like to say I still have the mind of a twelve year old. I’m also glad that you found the video helpful. Have fun and take care! Cheers! Patrick
Thanks for the comment. As you may have noticed, I put it together alone. Having someone help lift it would have been nice. The darn thing weighs almost as much as I do.. Other than the weird directions, I’m pretty happy with it so far. Thanks again! Cheers! Patrick
Hey, thanks for doing the research for all of us! Been thinking of getting a bandsaw for a while and this one does look quite appealing. Looking forward to your future review!
@benjaminjackson8713 - Thanks for the comment, and you are welcome. I’ve been eyeing one of these for a while. I’m usually satisfied with Harbor Freight’s tools. And I’m usually pretty frugal. So it works out great. Stay tuned for the review. Thanks again! Patrick
I've got one of these saws, but I got mine second-hand, and it's branded "Reliant" rather than central machinery or whatever. Same castings and assembly, though, down to the funky plastic panels on the stand. Grizzly sells their version of the same saw, and they used to *also* sell a six-inch riser block kit which works fine - if you ever decide that you need more resawing capacity.
Yeah I think that these are pretty decent. Not surprising that they are under different brands. And I agree the the plastic panels are “funky’. The riser block sounds interesting, I will have be on the hunt for one of those. Thanks for sharing and for watching, Cheers! Patrick
I have the exact same Bandsaw and mine came with the blade on. I also had the same problem with that one bracket. And my pulley was attached just like yours. It's not a bad saw for the price but this summer I'm going to balance the wheels because I think it shakes too much. And after 2 months I ended up getting a better blade. I put mine on locking wheels so I could move it around. Take care.
Thanks for sharing a9ball1. That bracket through me for a loop. They should have drawn it like I did in the video. I’m looking forward to seeing how it holds up, they are pretty decent for the price. And like my old man used to say Great minds think alike’, as I’m planning on wheels as well. Thanks again! Peace.
@@scottwoodresearch Actually I had the same exact issue right as I was getting ready to bolt the first step together, I realized the issue. But most certainly it was a deceiving drawing LOL. I looked up your video when I started putting all of the base pieces together.
@ROCKNROLLMODS Yeah, I didn’t watch anything until after I finished. I kinda wish I would have. Could have saved me a lot of head scratchin’. Probably should have put my drawing where the issue was. Oh well. Any how, everything seems cool so far.
So is the motor bracket supposed to be slanted when bolted? Others have had the same issue but no one said what to do only, hey I solved it! Please share the fix.
Thanks for the comment. The problem begins with the drawing in the instructions. From the view (or side) the drawing illustrates it is very confusing as to how the two pieces are bolted together. For me it wasn’t until I started putting the base together that it started making sense. In my video I address the problem, although after publishing I asked myself, should I have put it at the spot were the issue was. But, I put it towards the end. So at about 14:45 in the video I did a drawing that if they had drawn it my way people would have had a lot confusion as to how to put that together. I hope this helps and answers your question. Overall I am very pleased with this saw. Thanks again!. Cheers! Patrick

i feel like youtube has been doing a much better job recently of recommending me cool smaller channels to check out.

I put one of those together a couple weeks ago. By myself. Instructions are sketchy but better than some other Chinese translations!
