Cummins 6.7 5 inch turbo back loud turbo

It's the exhaust brake causing back pressure. It automatically engages during cold weather start ups to help engine heat up to operating temperature. My neighors love when I start mine up at 5am in the winter. 747 in the drive way. (08 6.7 cummins mega cab dually)

Yes, cold weather and engage the exhaust brake if you don’t have it tuned and deleted. Otherwise if you have the whistle tune you can turn it on and off on command.
