Another great Beach Boys remix and this one is super 'duper'. Mike Love lead, Brian Wilson falsetto on a bed of driving guitars. Said it before, I have a weakness for falsetto records and no one does it better. Your remix is so good on this. Never seen a capitol label that colour - only the distinctive mauve. Cheers and thanks,
It's automatic when I talk with old friends The conversation turns to girls we knew When their hair was soft and long And the beach was the place to go Suntanned bodies and waves of sunshine The California girls and a beautiful coastline Warmed up weather let's get together And do it again With a girl the lonely sea looks good Makes your nighttimes warm and out of sight Been so long Hey now Well I've been thinking 'Bout all the places we've surfed and danced And all the faces we've missed So let's get back together and do it again
I don't like the Beach Boys, but I listened to it all the way through. Very unusual for me, I think I have only listened to one more that you did earlier. Just shows what cleaning up the sound does. 👍👍👍
@@Gerhard.P Kenn's version was the best sounding remix I could find on TH-cam, but like a lot of his remixes, he went too far with the added instruments. I thought it no longer sounded authentic. I was in contact with Kenn shortly before he died. I'll miss his uploads. Really sad.
Appatently the " bop bop bop bop " falsetto by brian as heard on the original single release was supposed to replicate a top note from a bugle .Shut their critics up to .
One of the best Beach Boys songs!
👍
Fabulous Re-mix, Pat. You've made this track come alive.
The fade out on this is definitely something special brilliant pat !
Thanks Paul. I like to add something a bit different to my remixes, if I can !

Thanks Henry. I found the image of an orange Capitol record label online when I was searching for the artwork. I've not seen one like it before !
One of a series of picture sleeve reissues from July 1979.
@@sct352t3 Thanks for the info. That makes sense, looking at the CL number on the record label.
Once again another cracking re-mix .I like the ending . Cheers Pat ,
Thanks James.

Will do Dean. I'm still finding this remixing lark a lot of fun !
Good job.
👍
Great!

Megalatticamente bellissima
Thank you 👍
i think this song defineds the beach boys,
It's up there with California Girls as defining the quissential California sound , for me anyway
So many good ones…I also liked Salt Lake City and California Saga a lot…

I really love this stereo upgrade especially the backing track, would it be possible to upload an instrumental?
oops, you did it again ;-)
🙂
🎧👍👍
Right! Again a masterpiece, second to none, with a unique ending. Do it again, Pat.
I like to make my remixes different in some way, if possible !
@@radiowollaton8521 Up to now I found Kenn's version best, but you are much closer to the original.

Good morning Ed. First again !
Thank you !
Excellent Pat.....next up it's Lady Lynda....yes/no? 😅
Great record, but it's already a good quality stereo mix. I don't think I can add anything to it !
The lead guitar is buried.
Thank you.
not do it again but do it more Patrick
I will, I will
buried the guitar! That's a big NO NO!
