The song itself is a double entendre. At first glance they are rapping about the rap culture. HBOM represents the old time rappers or what he appropriately calls "the OGs" while Ez Mil represents the ones taking on that culture AKA the new generation of rappers. Ez Mil does clearly state that they have bled to keep this culture which is true for both the OGs and the new generation which he represents. In other words they have bled to keep rap significant and away from the modern bullshit. As for the double entendre, it kind of hits to the old generation of filipinos. Thanking them for keeping the philippine culture alive despite the oppression that the philippines went through. HBOM appropriately quotes japanese bombings and the pearl which are all past events that heavily correlate to invasion and oppression. On the other hand though they both rap generally so it all goes into a few other entendres like the new culture being influenced heavily by the old generation and how the "new kids" should not challenge the old generation because "they are the wrong crack that you should be peeping." in general its just a pride song to the cultures you respact as well as a homage song to those that came before you.
Next album should be entitled “By Storm”! Because that’s what he has taken this genre by. And what I love is that nothing is the same. He can do the Em barology, with doubles and triples and inside schemes. But he can sing, he can rap with emotion, he can tell a story, he can write a hook, he can literally do anything. Damn! This may be one of the best first albums by a new artist I’ve ever heard. Right up there with Pearl Jam 10. And it went unnoticed for a year. And the pressure of a follow up will be real!
He has so many songs ..I hope soon he will have an album to released now ...yes pressure will follow Ez Mil if it continue and I hope it would..maybe this concert of him this coming April will took him into world denomination..I think he will continue to make music having every catchy beat and melody and aside from that ,he can write an rnb ,or pop songs ...and hiphop with dance choreography too..what makes him exceptional for me is he can sing dance rap and do it all in one song ..so people will not get tired of him..and he will improve more and more too.🙂
