- Comparing Xiaomi's Poco X3 GT vs the Poco X3 Pro, to see which budget smartphone of 2021 is best for you. Both of these affordable phones offer strong specs for the price, including a punchy 120Hz IPS screen with 120Hz refresh. Speed isn't a problem either, for gamers wanting to play PubG, CODM or Gensin Impact. The Pro packs a 7nm Snapdragon 860 chipset, while the 6nm Mediatek Dimensity 1100 powers the Poco X3 GT. This also delivers 5G support, on top of WiFi 6 connectivity.
For battery life, both of these budget blowers are brilliant. But only the GT can charge in around 40 minutes with the 67W fast charging support. As for the camera, well, the Poco X3 GT is best for everyday shots with its 64MP primary sensor. However, the Pro performs better in low light and has the best selfie camera.

I'm very satisfied with my X3 Pro. First SnapDragon phone that I have ever had and it never fails! charging takes about 50 to 55 mins from 17-20% to 100% - flawless!

Great review! I'd go for the x3 pro as it has a headphone jack tho. For my wife will have to be the the GT as she uses the speakers quite a bit!
I chose X3 Pro because in the end, I will always install custom ROMs on my aged phones. X3 Pro, which has Snapdragon processor will surely very nice for that.
Despite lack of 5G connectivity, the Poco X3 Pro ticks all the must have features on a smartphone/gaming phone. Great review.

Got myself a Poco X3 pro 8 GB 256 GB phantom black version and it packs a punch.. very happy with it ♥️👍.. does not lag at all.. Snapdragon 860 shows its power no matter what u do and never shows any signs of weakness. I also don't have any problems with the "not so good camera".. its very versatile, has tons of creative options like dual video, vlog mode movie frame etc and the main cam produces really good results.. the 3.5 mm headphone jack and radio are also a plus and I also love the screen size 😍.. thank you Xiomi/Poco for making such great devices in an affordable range.. i had a xiaomi Mi A1 previously and had it for 3 years.. also a very good phone of its time..

I am seriously considering X3 GT, for the 5G and all the other additions. I want something that will relatively be more future proof, I don’t want to buy another phone in just one or two years in the future. I want them to last at least 4 whole years, or even more. I wan’t to find something that fits my needs, but still last for a very long time. I still use my trusty Mi Max 2, but it started to fail.

Probably best to get Pro than put that money towards a new phone when 5G is standard at a cheap price so basically save the money, get Microsd and a headphone jack and just put that money saved towards a Poco X7 or whatever in 4yrs
@@Xighor Honestly, I don't use 3.5mm that often. Maybe once in the last 3 months. So not that important to me. MicroSD is not something I worry too much, I use 64GB phone and even that works fine for me.

Well, X3 Pro and X3 GT isn't that much different in price, and I don't game that much, so I'm not that moved to get the X3 Pro. I'd rather go to F3 instead of X3 Pro even if it's more expensive.

Honestly, 5G will take years to be fully supported and stable on your area. Buy yourself a 5G phone in 3-4 years or when your area has a stable 5G.
Really your concerns are about 5g?...tell what data usage you have where 4g speed is not enough... People complains a lot about minimum things, is 5g way faster than 4g? Yes, but 4g is fast enough for anything you do outside

I don't use 3.5mm jack, and i also found out Poco provide converter/connector (i don't know what i call it) if i want to use one, but like i said, i won't, i use a wireless one..
5G support is also good.

And Dimensity 1100 is stronger than SD860, so gaming is also plus
I know the fact that SD is more optimized than Mediatek for the past years, but they did change it with Dimensity processor
And GT design is lot cooler than Pro
The PRO has the GT thoroughly beaten in the emulation department, but no reviewer so far has mentioned it, do keep that in mind if you're a gamer that enjoys emulation.
Yeah, the phone with the stronger single core performance will usually win at emulation, and sd860 beats the 1100 in single core, while the 1100 beats it in multi core
i can agree on this but mines worse I can't seem to emulate at all it always says error it's frustrating..no I'm not inexperienced I've been emulating games on my past phones not only in 3ds or psp but also v.n and pokemon fan made games
Lol the only downside for X3 pro is the deadboot issue which is a major sitdown against X3 GT

From a long time user still using my Poco x3 NFC since it was lunch. I highly recommend getting the Poco x3 pro in my opinion you're getting way more for your dollar 💰 unless you need future features everything is trade off. The phone was built bulletproof & now updated chipset makes that much better. Recently insert SD memory 256gb phone has 120 GB headphone jack + endless feature long battery life the phone is a low key budget flagship. Strong as a brick have to drop mine so many times.
Good to know Dimensity processor is providing a competition for Qualcomm..
Poco X3 pro is the clear winner because of the price and the performance is enough to play high end games

Yep, thats why I choose SD device. My 5 yrs old Redmi Note 3 Pro still usable (with battery already swapped with 3rd party one) and up to date due to the Custom ROM community support for the device is awesome. I even typing this on it with AOsP extended Pie Custom ROM installed eventhough I already have Poco F3 I bought recently.
So the GT will get no Custom ROM suport? Sad

Just got the X3 pro ...having had a OnePlus 6 for last 3yrs ...a very good phone imo ...but as OnePlus now have got more expensive ...and don't seem to offer SD card storage ..? Which I wanted ...early opinion is I'm happy with the pro ... definitely an upgrade ..and at less than £200 I'm more than happy now ..as for 5g ... waiting until it's more widely available b4 upgrading again .

Now install conquer os or ppui or ancient os and then install OnePlus launcher module, it will look close to oxygen os and has much better user experience as compared to shitty miui. I m using conqueros now

I love poco x3 pro, the price performance ratio is unbelievable. I wish it had Amoled because my love of Amoled Screen made me finally turn my head to POCO F3 8/256, yep due to the amoled alone, although there is the 6/128 version but due to storage expansion didnt exist I pick the 8/256 one.... Ofc for budget tight user ,thos poco X3 pro is still the best... None can match it...

Never knew it before, what I like from amoled is the visibility under the sun and the deep black, also all my phone before are IPS (not all actually, only my Redmi Note 3 Pro, I believe my ZTE phone from 2012 and Lenovo A859 from 2014 still using regular LcD panel), so somehow I cant considered my next phone an upgrade when I have the same type of screen.... Sound weird, I knew it... Im just making justification maybe ...

the back and camera design is the only thing i dont quite like about x3 pro. its a beast tho
grow on you will be used to it would even notice how it looks especially with a decent case. Compared for what you get for the price well worth it... using my X3 NFC from launch till now excellent performance reliability and updates.

I have been using the Poco X3 Pro since Christmas. I bought it for myself because I broke the screen on my Honor phone. 95% of the time my Poco is fantastic. Sometimes the phone freezes which is annoying if I am using it for demanding apps all day. The camera has a bad watermark. And there's other little things you get on it that you don't get from Poco's American equivalents, mostly ads in places you don't expect or want ads. In the settings you can trim 99% of it away but it doesn't stop all of it. An example is that you see an extra pop up screen on the play store after you download an app. You'll get used to it, but I found it infinitely frustrating.
But all in all I paid £220 for my phone, and for that you get the fast charging, a great screen, great speakers. The usability is equivalent to a £400+ phone, until like I said the screen freezes, for about a minute. Happens about once every two weeks.
Would I get another Poco phone? Yes. Especially if I was on the same budget as before. But if my budget was £500+ I'd probably choose a Google Phone or a second hand Sony phone. An iPhone would be fine too, because my car is compatible with apple car play but not android auto.

My Poco X3 Pro arrives tomorrow. Always been a Samsung user. Are there any must do things out of the box with the OS to make it better?
First of all toggle off "Receive Recommendations" to disable ads. Secondly I will suggest you to uninstall or disable all the bloatware. I'm using Poco X3 and when I first got my phone there were about 10-12 apps which were totally useless for me. 4-5 were games and the rest were third party apps.
And thirdly I would suggest you to disable and turn off notifications for "GetApps" and "Themes". These are inbuilt apps so you can't uninstall them. Just disable and turn off the notifications and those two apps will not bother at all. I don't know if the global variant has all these bloatware but in the Indian variant which I'm using there were lots of bloatware.
And turn on video toolbox for youtube, it really enhances the sound
Also, if you can switch to a custom rom such as OneOS

x3 gt display quality looks superior ! , But I don't like the cost cutting in front camera as the display is still IPS, the ultra wide camera is the same old 8 mp, the main sensor is neither samsung nor sony, it's omny vision. the fron't camera should have been better.

I have the Pro and it is fast but for some reason when I use Chrome and I scroll down on sites and forums it just isn't as snappy as I expected, is this normal? Also popups like new Google emails are very sluggish to just swipe away.
You should change the animations to 0.5 or turn all off. By animations, i mean go to developer options and find animation duration scale and turn it all to 0.5 for a snappier ui
@@depressedidiot3789 I couldn't find developer options but in the settings I searched for animations and there was a option to remove animations. Is that it? It's kinda odd with this phone, because when I go to things like settings or open a app it's fast as hell, but scrolling down pages has this delay in it, not nearly as snappy as my OnePlus 3 was. Also scrolling down TH-cam comment sections has this delay.
For example when I wipe down from the top it goes sluggish, but if I swipe up from the bottom it's snappy as hell.

Watching on my Poco x3 pro. Got the 8gb ram one and it runs anything flawlessly. Fast charging can charge my phone in 50 minutes. As the Poco x3 pro is a gaming phone, people who buy this phone are probably heavy games so camera won't matter much. Snapdragon chips are much more reliable. Overall they are both good phone's. if you are more of a gamer go for the x3 pro.
I am not a gamer, I play around 1-1.5 hr a day. But I bought poco x3 pro because it has better processor and it really helps in the long run and I dont click many pictures anyway
camera is also good bro its similar to other brand but little bit of better camera quality not worth the spec that we have to trade.

poco x3 pro is not a reliable heavy gaming phone as it is amoled and amoled can easily get burned for playing many hours

I dunno about the F3 GT but Xiaomi can re-badge another one of its Redmi K40 variants into an F3, notably the Redmi K40 Pro+. It has the Snapdragon 888.

As for wi-fi 6 , dude I have seen that era some 15 years ago when I had to wait 6-7 hours for downloading a 700 MB Ubuntu CD. So patience isn't a problem for me. Though I would like to know how much you pay for cloud storage services (monthly / annual) ? And if you are that rich , which streaming services you use to pay for music and movies ?

X3 GT got the edge in the long run because of the 5g availability.
Nothing wrong with 4g. At least 4g wasn't designed and built as a weapon unlike 5g
5g would take a few more years to be as established as 4g worldwide. By then, you would have enough money to buy newer phone instead of comparing X3 GT and X3 Pro. Just get the Pro first, save up for a few years and get something like Poco X10 with 5g support in 2030

Why is everyone complaining about the lack of headphone jack? Theres a dongle inside the box. Type C dongle to 3.5mm headphone jack. For me its not a big deal for not having a headphone jack because inside the box they provided a dongle so still, you can use your wired earphones.
Yeah bro, especially for audio heeps. They don't use phonejack if they want to play music. They use better Dongle for better sound quality. So not having jack is really not issue for us.

@@brownladKR The phone comes in with an adaptor for 3.5 mm headset to type-C, not much to worry.
