trying to figure this out now....never really considered myself to be a person that needed help. I was the one who helped people -at work and in my personal life. so hard to realize all the ways i abandoned myself over the years :( thanks for the videeoooos
This is truly fantastic. I struggle a lot with asking for help and trying to figure out what's fair in dividing up tasks, and fairness is paramount to me, but it's hard to know how much help I'm allowed to ask for (ADHD and other chronic issues) and have things still be fair for everyone. This is a really great breakdown of the layer underneath (esp with the taking out the trash example, taking a task off your plate vs being a logistics timing ask) that I haven't been able to articulate before.
I did that! 🎉🎉 I took stuff off my plate and my family were not impressed but they adapted and aside from the occasional feeling of guilt and wondering if I'm engaging in child labour 😅, I'm so much happier and the household runs much more smoothly now. Yay me!!! Thanks for this conversation. It gave language to so much of what I have experienced. 🥹

This is great and I feel so seen. Thank you so much!
Haha I always say I wish I had a house husband and that I could just go to work 😅
Good talk! Thank you.
This was good, thanks.
