I think I had repressed anger. I don't know why exactly but the wood chopping bit got me so angry, crying & screaming like I was frustrated at something. I need to come back here often for a self check-in
Was it your first time or after a few exercises?
I cut down a tree in my yard that was taller than my house. I loved it so much and I could feel it getting anger out. The cracking sound the 3 trunks made right before they fell was so satisfying!

Amazing! First time doing somatic yoga. It was very releasing. I started to cry during the wood chopping. At the end I felt like a beautiful flower vine connected my brain to my spine to the rest of my body. I felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders, I felt empowered, and free. I felt like a higher self was enveloping me in their arms. Thank you. Will be back for more!

I've done this video a few times now and each time I want to stop at the bit just before the wood chopping, I'm convincing myself that I don't have anger. Today I carried on, crying - thank you, I'm sure it helped!!
I have convinced myself for 44 years I have no anger, until a nervous breakdown and burnout hit me in February... One day at a time, one practice at a time. ❤

Anger sadness....recent loss of my mother...the little girl in me seeking the evasive love of her mother...relief knowing our soul contract was carried out as we had agreed in the beginning of time...

Half an hour after doing the somatic release I started crying and couldn't stop. The same thing happened yesterday when I did an ampuku massage. The massage therapist said I had a lot of suppressed anger and it's making me sick. Probably explains why I had a stroke 4 years ago.
I know i need to do this, i started crying as soon as you told me i was safe 🥺 but i've got fibromyalgia currently intensified by long covid symptoms (and I'm autistic, woo-hoo!); it's really uncomfortable right now sitting cross-legged (the cushion doesn't help, i did try), and then when i lay down flat my head and tailbone are so uncomfortable on the mat. Any suggestions? I am gonna look for another one of yours in the meantime. (thank you for all that you do for us 🙏)
