I bought this too, two weeks ago. Even it is much cheaper than a Spyderco, it is still not really cheap. Yes, it is from China. So what? Many good knives coing from there. Soebody told me that Spyderco quality is much better. Might be. I work in Quality Controll and i really can´t talk bad about it. Really good finish, no scratches or dents. No sharp corners. It was really sharp, what is amazing. (Hair popping sharp!!). It is my first "Spyderco" and i a really impressed about how good it works as an EDC. Well done! Thanks for the video!
I’ve had my Tern for quite a few years now and still dig it out now and again,it’s a good uk edc but I think it’s closer to the Urban which I replaced it with never been a fan of the ukpk but brought one recently to see what all the fuss was about ,sent it back not really that impressed with it .
Love the comment thanks Rachael ! 👍🏼 a fair few people have not really liked the UKPK (basic model) me included, unless you go for the higher graded one. I have the s110v version and I love it a lot ! I think the Byrd is a hybrid length in the middle of the UKPK and the urban, but better steel in my opinion on the urban.
I think so too ! But like I said the tolerances are probably lower and possibly lower quality over the UKPK (basic model) but it’s not a bad shout , not the greatest deal but I’m happy to pay that amount for what I get you know ?
Always thought Spyderco overpriced for the quality of materials but I’m impressed with the tern for value for money. I liked my luna till i snapped the tip i knew it would happen the moment i got it and realised how thin the blade was and how abusive i am.
I’m afraid I do not have a tbs boar 🤦🏼♂️, great choice on the s90v wasp ! Great carry that is 👌🏼. Also I am terribly sorry on the very very late reply !!
Has astonishing ergonomics....sadly though the blade is a real pain to get sharp,my EDC is the real steel Luna which is simply outstanding and comes in D2 steel I will however go on the record as saying this is the safest slip-joint on the market,it's just about impossible to shut this on your fingers
I agree this one really does have some fantastic ergos ! I too had an issue sharpening this the first time round, I completely re profiled this to 17degrees per side and now it seems to touch up really well 🤷🏼♂️. But getting there was a pain. It sure is one of the safest I have seen with that big finger choil, like you said virtually impossible to shut on your digits. Fantastic choice with the Luna there !! One of my absolute favourites too! Quite a regular in my edc rotation too 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Yeah give it a go ! Haha I understand that man 👍🏼. Also because it is at that angle the edge retention is shortened so won’t last as long. But it’s been working for me for quite a while now.

Bladed Articles update :I now have a ukpk drop point and I’m really liking this version 😃
I am so pleased you are liking that version ! Great choice on the drop point too 👌🏼👍🏼! Also I’m terribly sorry for the late reply 🙏🏼!!
A lovely wee UKPK alternative for a better price! Great video mate

A better knife than the UKPK in my opinion. Unfortunately, costs have shot up and its now 50 quid. Mind you the UKPK is over 100!

Had one of these for a few months now and it'll do me just fine until the HH special edition ukpk is back in stock.
Honestly wouldn’t have got this either if the HH edition was in stock 🤷🏼♂️ but it does the job like you said 👍🏼
I was quite impressed by the one sent to me by edc life!
Glad you did man I love mine 🤟🏼👌🏼
I really don’t like them but I’m also not a Spyderco fan
Each to their own steve 👍🏼, I’m not a huge fan of traditionals 🤷🏼♂️. Thanks for the comment and support too 👌🏼
Bladed Articles have you got a tbs boar? Great knife I’m carry a s90v manly wasp at the mo I’ve not made my mind up on it yet

@@BladedArticles I'll have to give re-profiling it a go,the ergos are just to good for it to sit in my draw.

The Manly Wasp too is pretty safe, it has quarter stops.
