    Very nicely done. I have one of these and only have run 2 magazines through it. And was thinking about cleaning. And this made things look very simple. All though I will watch again as I clean mine.

    an Allen wrench would work just fine to remove the bolt and extra Allen wrenches make for good punches.

    I followed this to the t. Took notes. This video was awesome. When I went to put the receiver back into tbe stock, the trigger pivot pin came out! It holds the bolt stop in place. So to put it back in, u have to pull the charging handle and let the bolt move forward. Then press the bolt stop button to seat the pin under tension. Other then that, this was an excellent tutorial on how to clean the pc9. Thank u thank u for posting this

      This was my first time at it too! It took me a while, but it’s clean now. I took notes and made a soft mat into a gun cleaning pad. I drew around each piece and labeled it so I don’t loose parts or forget how to do it. I used a silver colored paint pen to outline each part. This was an excellent video for this

    You don't need to completely remove the screws to take the trigger/bolt assembly out of the stock for cleaning.

    @olesarge8147 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I don't understand, the main item on your carbine that should be cleaned, you don't clean it. The bolt needs to be disassembled and cleaned. You are most likely to experience reliability problems if you don't. Especially with all the lubricant you are using.

    • @travisp11
      @travisp11  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I put a link to the bolt disassembly at the end of this video. I generally only follow the manufactures recommendations for maintenance and bolt disassembly isn’t a requirement. But, I have since made a video showing this process. See the pinned comment and the link at the end of this videos.

    thanks for the great video, I am thinking about getting one. Want a center fire I can reload and low price ammo. Is the barrel free floating, and how accurate is it.

    • @travisp11
      @travisp11  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Check my accuracy test on it. I can’t comment if the barrel is free floated as I borrowed this one but they are plenty accurate.

    Your video quality and explanation are great, but I'm surprised you didn't get into the bolt disassembly for detailed cleaning. This is a must as the round count builds up. With the amount of lube you are using you will get a buildup of sludge behind the extractor that will effect the already fragile state of the extractor. Trust me, I know. It is very easy to do, and I'm sure you can make an excellent video showing how it is done.

    • @travisp11
      @travisp11  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can make a part 2 as I still have this carbine (its on loan from a friend). I understand that I will start to get a buildup over time. I will see what I can do.

    • @CompShooter54
      @CompShooter54 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@travisp11 I have had mine since they first came out and shoot it in USPSA and Steel Challenge, and mine gets pretty grimy abound the bolt face and extractor. When the grime gets behind the extractor it keeps the extractor from getting a good grip on the case rim and it slips off, causing extraction problems. My fear was that people not into gun cleaning would not tear it down any further than what you have shown. A second video would be great! Thanks.

    a vid with lots of usable info question whats better the bore snake or the cleaning rod with bore brush/patches or a combo of both in your experience with rifles/shotguns?(assuming youve cleaned both)

    • @travisp11
      @travisp11  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have used both. For a quick clean up use a bore snake a few times through the barrel. For a more thorough job use a copper solvent down the barrel, a few pushes of a cleaning rod with brass brush and follow up with a few patches of lubricant until they come out clean.
