Very cool. I'm just in the midst of building a "short" 200y range here on my property, and I lucked out in having access to an area where I can shoot out to a mile, So I'm really looking forward to getting back to basics on some long range shooting. The ruger is not bad at all at competition, if maybe a bit longer than necessary for close quarter work.
This week I replaced the mics in the 'studio' with RODE mics, so hopefully sound is better this time around. Next week I want to make sure lighting/contrast/exposure is as good as I can get it.
This was perfect! Best Disassembly and Reassembly video for this specific model on TH-cam thus far! Not even Ruger's website is this precise! Exactly what I needed to do thorough cleaning after approx 1k rounds since buying it 2 mths ago! THANK YOU! P.S. - Wash your mouth out with soap for cursing with God's name! Otherwise curse all you want. Just leave God out of it. 🙏 😅
A properly upgraded RUGER PC chassis carbine is BADASSERY! Love mine. I've torn down my RUGER PC chassis carbine so many times to upgrade it with MCARBO, TANDEMKROSS and FRANKLIN ARMORY Binary Trigger parts that I've lost count. BUT... my PC has no feed or extraction problems with ANY ammo I can find. I now have over 1,000 rounds through my RUGER PC chassis carbine. I've replaced the binary trigger with a new ($40.00) RUGER trigger group. Now I can switch them quickly. I could list all my replacement/upgrade parts here but it would be boring - for both of us. BTW, I have a HOLOSUN AEMS circle/dot sight on the short Pic rail on the barrel. IMHO the AEMS is the best sight for a PCC. Nice video. Your commentary sounds professional. Good job.
The Ruger warranty worked well, whatever they did, it's been good since then, and most of the rounds are handloads. It's my second one, my first one ran like a champ. Fun little rifles, great plinkers.
Cleaning the Ruger PC model 19122 9mm bolt carrier group is a pain in the ass. I own the Ruger PC tactical, and love to shoot it, but hate the cleaning part.
I really like this little rifle, and have shot it a ton since I got it back. I'd love to know what was originally wrong with it, but it's been a champ. It's a TAD bit front heavy if I had any complaints, but the takedown aspect is so convenient I can't even complain about it. This one gets thrown in the buggy almost every time I head up the hill to the home range :)
Hi Caliber, after ~700 rounds with no malfunctions, I start getting stovepipes on every other round. From the research I've done, it could be the EJECTOR on the Glock magwell being bend from slapping the magazine in. Changing to the mcarbo extractor does nothing to me also.
I wish I could tell you how they fixed it on mine, I've owned 2 and the first was a champ, never had an issue, this current one was bad from day one, but time at the ruger warranty depot fixed it right up. I even asked them what they did, but they never responded. Knock on wood I'm about 2000 or so rounds through it since the fix, and I haven't done anything except run a bore brush through it and a little bit of cleaning and oiling to the action. They fixed it so quick it must be an issue they were aware of, so worth dropping a line to Ruger about your issues.
10:45 you have to CLICK the buffer plastic plate , not leave it loose like that maybe the 1rst shout will replace it , but for me I will not take a chance .
Fair enough, although I don't remember if I disclosed in the video that this was going back to ruger because it was not really functional, ruger requested that it be sent back bone stock.
Just got mine and wanted to get to know it better. I've only done about 150 rounds with no issues so far but this helped build confidence should anything start acting up. That hammer spring is the WORST, haha
The first one I had never had an issue. This one was bad right from the start, but a week with the ruger depot and it's been perfect ever since. Very fun, very reliable little guns when they are running right...just be sure to clean it every so often.
@@High_Caliber interesting - good call sending it back. I did notice the Winchester 9mm I was using really dirtied up my bore, but maybe that's just the ammo+breaking it in. This is my first new gun (all others inherited) and I'm really happy with the purchase. Fantastic video, will no doubt come back to it often!
I don't think there's enough for a video there... It's quite literally one hex bolt accessed from the bottom of the grip. Almost all AR-15 style rifles have the same retention, just the one small bolt. Let me know if you have any specific question on it, as I've swapped out my fair share of them over the years.
It appears you are missing a second bolt to hold the receiver to the frame. It installs underneath just like the forward one but just ahead of the grip adapter screw. This is how mine came from the factory.
TIP: Get a MAGPUL snap on cheek piece for that MAGPUL stock to better align your eye with the red dot. I used a 1/4" cheek piece for my HOLOSUN AEMS but it looks like you may need a 1/2" one. This is much less expensive and faster than buying, attaching and re-sighting a lower sight mount.
The ruger service center fixed it and I haven't had an issue since. No idea what they did, but no more issues at all. Great little practice rifle that's for sure.
It's actually not bad at all. It's just simple blowback (well deadblow, blowback), and honestly, compared to pretty much any other gun I own, this one is a bit of a breeze to work on, probably why they are so popular, reliable and fun!
Yeah I felt the same way but I think its simply doing it a few times to get a picture in your head. I want one. I would sit down a clean it every week just for fun while wearing my Joker expression.
New owner of the Ruger PC carbine and former Marine marksmanship instructor… I really appreciate your video. I found it very informative. Thank you.

The devil gets the better of me sometimes ;)
Hi Mr. Caliber, Came across this video to learn more about how to clean my RPC9, great job, it worked. I really like your sense of humour, keep it up!

Thanks for the upload, and the humor!
Beautiful job with this video….appreciate it.
That was so far the best vid on this model ive seen!! Great job, thanx. I M•CARBO'D the whole gun. Love it!

I saw a TH-cam video specifically advising folks NOT to use the Glock magwell for this exact reason.

Excellent video. Are you able to do one how to change out the pistol grip?

@@High_Caliber OK fair enough what kind of tool do you recommend the ones that came in the Box with the ruger don't seem to fit they're too short.

Great video you made that look so easy
great video
Glad you enjoyed it. I plan a follow up video if ruger ever gets it back to me :)
Thank you for this!

@@High_Caliber That’s great! I really like mine too. Thanks! 👍I started getting ejection issues so looks like i’ll give them a call.
@@spr363 did you try the M-carbo ejector?
that looks like a pretty complex rifle
