- Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond give some hilarious moments to the media in their first press conference since Richard's crash in a jet powered dragster. This is the only video footage of the press conference, which took place in Johannesburg on February 7th, 2007.

I saw a live recording of top gear a few months ago in surrey. These guys are genuinely like this when not filming. Clarksson comes across like a really nice guy when he is meeting fans and posing for pictures. Personally i love the show, i love the fact that its so non pc and its about people who enjoy cars and driving fast.

It was owned by Ford for a time (they still hold shares in it I believe), but now it's owned by a consortium of a couple of Kuwaiti investment companies, and a couple of British businessmen... the current CEO is actually German. Crucially though, the cars are designed and manufactured in England. I'd say that makes them British.
I think we need them knighted Sir Jeremy, Sir Richard and Sir James.....and Sir Stig!

er actually they use a variation of a jag AJ v8 in the v8 vantage and 2 mondeo v6 blocks for the v12s. I guess the engine blocks were shared with something across the pond but the rest of it is pure cosworth.

Well with all the good that Australia is sometimes compared to our country I admire England for their strong sense of national identity and defending the greatness of their nation. My country has a long way to go in its development but yea its good to know that my nation has plenty of potential yet despite those mostly Australians themselves try to bring it down. My country is best for those who dont care about countries and just want a comparatively good standard of living.

Oh no..most Australians are quiet about the matter or simply dont know, of course theres no guarantee of anything you hear but from what I hear ours is the best. For once a Australian is being forthright in defending his nations honour. As I dont care really for wine I cant know for sure.

They are only OWNED by someone else, but the cars themselves are engineered, developed and built in britain....dont for a second think that americans could build an aston martin (LOL!), or indians (who's best car they ever built was Tata Nano, a small plastic piece of crap) could build jaguars.
