I came here because of Stewart Lee, and I'm Glaswegian.
Stewart Lee = comedian, a very clever one, and takes on things no one else does.
It doesn't mean he's a lecturer, and believes what he says to be true. He's an artist, and artists tell lies to reveal the truth, but politicians lie to cover them up. His sketch about Top Gear was hilarious, I knew that Hammond usually scolds Clarkson, and Clarkson is an ENTERTAINER, and he does it very well.

I like how Jeremy by his own admission was advised to drive 50 into a wall in the lorry but apparently he thought that was "going to look boring" so he drove "I dunno.. 80" and it was "a catastrophic mistake".
Mere beats earlier he claimed accidents "cannot be forseen".

Unfortunatly top gear just doesn't feel like topgear unless it has Jeremy, Richard and James as the presenters, they along with the excellent script is what makes it a success it's a package deal imo. Watching the Australia one just feels like a cheap rip off.

Someone stands outside their house in the rain, and complains about how they hate it, they're sick of being pissed through all the time, it's fucking terrible bla bla bla. My immediate thought would be 'Well go inside then.' I suppose that would be wrong though, eh?
And if they DON't watch Top Gear, what's the problem? Should we ALL stop watching it and get it taken off the air because Mary Whitehouse is alive and well and living on TH-cam?
I was there the other night and it was quite good..jokes and smoking tyres was worth the drive..Sydney topped the board in the yelling and screaming meter..The aussie guy was annoying..shouldnt have been there I reckon..
I don't know anyone who watches Top Gear who agrees with Clarkson. We still find him entertaining. He's funny to watch, and then thw two others act as our voice, in response.
People who say Stewart Lee has "shown me the light" are no different than those who say Clarkson has "shown me the light" they are just blind followers of different people. Both of them would make comedy material out of such people, although obviously, Stewart Lee would be in a completely different league.

@somename99 Yes, you get it now. They see an item on the news so they all think they're experts. In case you haven't noticed, TG does a couple of series a year, it's the most popular motoring show on the planet and they take the piss. And, if you read through the comments instead of wasting Sunday afternoon trying to piss me off, they aren't commenting on the particular show, they're just whining about how much they hate Top Gear. You don't seem to have factored that in. And Stewart Lee is shit.

Clarkson is somewhat of an enigma to me as an American. He has this unhealthy hatred of America, yet I love the way he presents otherwise. Maybe I just need to take him like Simon Cowell. Simon just sortof says whatever no matter whether it seems brash. I dunno. Thoughts? I want to like the guy, but he's really offensive to Americans.
