Thx bro with all of these tutorials...personally you have been the most interesting person to watch when it comes to tutorials regarding garageband. You have helped me so much, keep it up🔥🔥
Im learning garageband inside and out because of you! Thanks for being so humble and teaching us this humble yet powerful tool. I'm going to share this with my friends! woohoo!
You know I'm just trying to figure out how to make a track so I can rap over it's so hard because I don't know anything about mixing anything what would be the best place I could go to do this?
Hey! Here's a couple videos I have done on making beats step by step.... th-cam.com/video/uhmFCCEmNaE/w-d-xo.html .... th-cam.com/video/OQRx1WVQltY/w-d-xo.html ... th-cam.com/video/JUdtpB6U3PM/w-d-xo.html (two on trap beats, one on loft beats, all for people who don't have experience beat making)... hope that helps! -Dean
Hey Dean, So I have been recording music for a few months now using my MacBook speakers. Now I am considering investing in a pair of studio monitors. Are there any that you would recommend? P.S. I love your videos :)
Hey Daljinder! Personally, I used the Persons Eris E5's and I think they're great(!) but I know for a similar price range there are also the KRK Rocket 5's as well. If you are in a super small space you might think about the 3.5" speakers... hope that helps Daljinder! -Dean
Hey Marcos! You would click on the mix button in GB iOS that looks like 3 parallel, vertical lines that turn blue when you click it. A menu should pop up and about half way down you'll see "Plugins & EQ" and front here you can click on Graphic EQ to make the moves I show you in this video. Help that helps!
Hey Kash! I don't know of a way to slow down one single track within a project in GB... BUT! You can always solo that track and export it and then open a blank GB project and import that file into it and then hit E to bring up the edit window then engage the flex time button (looks like a little DNA strand that's folded, in the top left corner of the edit window) and then you can slow down the BPM of the song and it should slow that track down. Then you can export it and re import it into your original project. I know that would take a little time but it's a work around! -Dean
ha I haven't published this song anywhere (a handful of people have asked, so I maybe should...), but I do post original songs on my other TH-cam channel which you can find here th-cam.com/video/kfr299xPyew/w-d-xo.html
Yo Dean it's Micah. How do I add some warp to my piano? I'm just not sure how but I feel like I REALLY need that in my songs. Edit: Not just piano, any instrument I want it to be on.
bruh. 2 ways... 1. you can export the piano performance (as an uncompressed AIFF file) then reimport it into the project as an audio file (as opposed to a midi file) then turn on pitch correction on that track and play around with how much as it will try and push the piano performance into pitch which will cause it to warp (this is the technique I used for the piano in this song th-cam.com/video/ZLkbh8qVkkM/w-d-xo.html) OR option #2 would be to get the Isotope Vinyl plugin (it's free) and you can add "warp" to any midi instruments or audio track, which is cool! Hope that helps! -Dean
Can I ask a random question? I'm recording vocals and my vocal is buzzing or wobbly and seems like the input is getting overloaded but the levels are low and I have tried unplugging everything but nothing is getting better. Any ideas?
@@SarahBethOfficial Well that was my first question! Hmmm Have you tried using different cables? If that didn't work I go through each piece one by one to see which one is the weak link, meaning I would trade out my mic (borrow from a friend if needed) and if everything works right then you know the problem is in your mic, then try trading out your interface, same story, and then finally the DAW/recording software (it shouldn't be this, this would be a last resort test). Hopefully it's something simple like a cable going out but if needed, go piece by piece and see if you can identify where the problem is! -Dean
