If you take the “Fairytales Bells” keyboard (found in the “keyboards” section), go to the visual EQ, Take the Treble and move it to a little over five hundred, move the treble again but upward so that it’s just a tad under 20, move the mid to about halfway between 3k and 4k, then move the mid downward so that it’s just a tad over 20, take the bass and move it to the right so that it’s a little bit below 2k, and keep it vertically in the center, and then use it for lower chords and you’ll melt into your seat and cry with how good it sounds.

Hey Jake! I have had a few people tell me that, one even asked Apple what the deal might be. They came back and said that maybe because I had an older version of GarageBand and have upgraded up several version since then that it may have kept that in my library where the newer versions of GB don't have it? I think a more likely answer is that I also have all of Logic's loops/instruments through purchasing a program called MainStage ($30) which I did a video on here... th-cam.com/video/YrqAvAQjYEI/w-d-xo.html ... hope something in there helps Jake! Also, whether you get into more sounds or not, you have PLENTY of sounds to make all the lofi goodness you need already available in GB! Sometimes people get stuck on not having a couple of certain sounds but you can always find tons of good sounds and if you feel like you want a certain sound that you don't have then you can always record a rain storm yourself through an open widow or even search online for free samples of vinyl or rain etc. Thanks for reaching out Taylor! -Dean

Go to Keyboards, Alchemy Synth, Synth, Dusty Record Synth, Enter in the "eq" section (where it has resonance, modulance, vibrato...) and set the crossfade x and crossfade y to the top right and the vynil vol. / vynil -> fx to the top right as well. play any note and you'll see :) i hope it's not difficult to understand...

haha well all you need to do is record yourself talking and pitch down your voice about 3-5 semitones :). You can hear my real voice towards the end of the video in the part about a processing a talking voice.... nothing special :)

If that is the case and you're looking for vinyl crackle then I would definitely look at the Outer Lands Synth as it has build in vinyl crackle. Even I faced that problem, as an alternative I used the Outer Land Synth and hit the left most key on the keyboard, it does not add any audible note, just adds the vinyl sound.

Hey there! That is likely because that loop is part of my MainStage loops, check out the link in the description where I link to a video showing you how to get all of Logic's loops/patches in GarageBand.
Hey gabyitzel! That may mean that you need to update your sound library which you can do by going to the GarageBand drop down menu in the top left of the screen, hovering over "Sound Library" and then clicking on "Download All Available Sounds". This should start a download process that will give you all of the latest software instruments and loops that GarageBand currently has to offer. Hope that helps gabyitzel! -Dean
The Songwriting Studio Tried and the option is grayed out, so I tried reinstall sound library. Still doesn't show up, nor do the rain sounds. Should I check in with Apple Support, you think?

Sometimes GarageBand only shows loops if they are close to the original key... that rain and scratch loops aren't melodic so it shouldn't matter, but it's worth a try! -Dean

Hey there! That is likely because that loop is part of my MainStage loops, check out the link in the description where I link to a video showing you how to get all of Logic's loops/patches in GarageBand.

Hey gabyitzel! That may mean that you need to update your sound library which you can do by going to the GarageBand drop down menu in the top left of the screen, hovering over "Sound Library" and then clicking on "Download All Available Sounds". This should start a download process that will give you all of the latest software instruments and loops that GarageBand currently has to offer. Hope that helps gabyitzel! -Dean

The Songwriting Studio Tried and the option is grayed out, so I tried reinstall sound library. Still doesn't show up, nor do the rain sounds. Should I check in with Apple Support, you think?
@@idkwerefashionblogrs Hey gabyitzel, that's weird! My only other thought beyond that would be to see if those show up when you create a song in the key of C with the TEMPO at 65? Sometimes GarageBand only shows loops if they are close to the original key... that rain and scratch loops aren't melodic so it shouldn't matter, but it's worth a try! -Dean
yo, this is an absolutely killer tutorial! been trying to make my own tunes with GarageBand thinking that there are limitations, but it's a whole different program when you use it! can't wait to try again now that I know about the loops and stuff! thanks dj uni!
