Welcome bud!!! No apologies needed. My vise is a Coterelli T-Rex. Its a pretty popular vise among salmon fly tiers. The double jaw design gives an amazing grip on the hook. I do have a video from when I got it that reviews the functionality of it. Check out the video to see the full design of the vise. Thank you for subscribing!!! Again welcome aboard!
Good day! Thank you very much for your videos, they are very informative! Can I ask this question? Do you treat your hands with anything? Yesterday I came across the fact that the skin of my hands, due to the cold (last week it was -28 degrees Celsius), became rough and constantly caught on the silk. Hand cream? Or are there some other means?
I actually do not treat my hands. Because I have not been able to work due to my lung issues, I just have soft hands. I do recommend silk gloves. They are relatively cheap on Amazon and work quite well. You could also try a skin/ hand lotion. Another idea is use a fingernail emery board to essentially sand down the rough spots on your hands and fingers. Thos I've done before and it helps a great deal
Super job buddy 👍
Thanks my friend!!!
Outstanding looking fly, I'm a new subscriber so I apologize for asking but what make and model is your vice?

@@flytyingwithrichlamonte Good afternoon Thank you very much for your answer and advice!
Thank God for fingernails!😆

What kind of body floss do you use?
I mainly use Kyoto Japanese silk.

Thank you. What kind of material do you use for the white base?
I want to study more
For that I use wooly nylon. It's available on Amazon in large spools. 1 large spool will last you many years.

I'll check it out! Thank you
Your very welcome!
