I have never really taken the time to watch and listen to the incredible music that can be created by the Koto. I had heard the name of the instrument mentioned in relation to the electric guitar playing of Marty Friedman though. This musician has a great gift/talent! Would love to see this music live in the UK.
@eburel506 The strings are quite thick and they don't usually break until they are worn out. Silk strings would indeed break very often, but nowadays everyone uses nylon ones.

凄いテクニック。流れるような音の美しさ。弦から手の動きで泉が湧くように、なんとも言えない華やかさと爽やかさが、聞く人に伝わって来ます。日本の美。この表現にピッタリのイメージですね。着物姿での演奏は落ち着いて気持ちがいいですね。広い砂漠をさ迷っているときに、もし琴の音が遠くから聞こえたら、日本人であれば、もうオワシスは近いと感じるでしょう。そんな素敵な楽器と賞賛しても、言い過ぎではないと思います。まさしく価値ある最高の楽器ですね。女の方は習って見たい衝動に駆られるでしょう。でも難しそう、そこを乗り越えたら、素敵な調べに満足するでしょうね。素晴らしい琴の音に思うことは、人生における静かな思いと活動的な動き、満足な生活力に気持ち良い人生の生き方に琴の音（ね）が最高によい感触を与えてくれます。私は二階の自分の部屋から外の庭の花、木を眺めながら琴の調べを静かに聞いています。周りが生きいきして来るのは、私の錯覚でしょうか。いいですね。日本の琴は宝物の存在ですね。私はこれで大変満足しています。皆様もいかがですか。それではご健勝を祈ります。素敵な皆様へ。

最近箏にはまって聴くようになったけど、録音状態にもよるだろうが、こんなピアノみたいに1音1音音がクリアで綺麗になるものなんだ…、、、楽曲創った方もめちゃくちゃ凄いけど、演奏してる方も凄い…。生で演奏聞いてみたい。

That is amazing. I can't help but wonder what that would sound like with an amp and some heavy distortion attached to it.
The whole thing about the koto is the purity of sound. Any distortion would just be blasphemy.

Wow the strings of the koto really have to be sterched to get the right sound. How do they not break alot of strings doing that.
素敵な鈴鳴り玲麗、流流陽気なきらめき溢れた清流の流れが目の前に展開しました。この曲の間に、舟で和歌を詠んで茶を飲むなど素敵な文化促進で使ってもらいたい曲の1つ。
今後海外に出る時は、着物必須。完全にアップしない今のヘア保持が肝要。
服装安全倫理規定保持の今のこの曲の端正なヘアで演奏舞台でのご活躍を期待しています。
