Wonderful, thanks! To preserve basil (or other herbs) longer I usually put it into a vase with water, just as you would do with flowers, and it stays fresh for a few days!
A lot of the flavor will have been lost as it is infused into the oil, but you could try mixing the leftover leaves through sauces before serving or adding to soups.

We'd suggest using within a week or two.
