First things first, I wanna wish the owner of this vehicle many years of happy use. I like his idea of a blank canvas and he can make it his own, As opposed to the way the manufacturers want to sell them to us. This reminds me of something I heard said about a Jeep. 1500 for delivery is not cheap maybe even a ripoff. But otherwise I am a bit jealous. Very nice color. I would wish a leather steering wheel and leather gear lever, a manual 2wd 4wd (or better just a lockable center diff) and Low Range lever, leather armrests, a manual handbrake and a manual gearbox with a (low rev efficiency tuned and no turbo) V6 or V8 because sound is important to me. I would not advice a lift or stiffer suspension, only a front (manual) swaybar disconnect. And maybe 235/85 or 245/75 tires (255/85 is a bit too big and heavy for daily use though I would like to see it with 8.25 (235/100) Michelin XZL TL tires on this in combination with this standard suspension) that is it.

My ford experience was considerably worse. I put my order in September of 21 for a ranger XL 2wd. I find out in November that they added 4wd “ by accident” they claimed ( wonder if they were trying to rip me off). So on 11/6/21 I have to resubmit the order and I get bumped to an “ early” 2022. Problem is I’m relying on selling my old Toyota Tacoma to help defray costs if I wanna buy it and lack of communication was a big problem with ford. 4 months I’ve waited now with no clue when they're going to build it and with it they’re costing me money I could make from my old truck. I started looking elsewhere when I got a “ we have no idea when we’re building your truck” email. With wait times going from 6 to 12 months I couldn’t afford to wait and risk getting almost nothing for my old truck ( my old one needed work to sell it which I couldn’t take the time to do while it was in daily driver service). Ultimately I got my deposit back and canceled the ranger to buy a Toyota Tacoma which was already assembled and in transit. So I’m not very happy with ford over it as I really did want the ranger but seeing as ford dropped the ball it’s on them
