In other words, you don’t have enough confidence to use this truck to its full capability and are selling it because you paid way more than you should have for it.
So true. It all depends on what you wanted. Rember, this is a Raptor folks, not a regular Bronco. I love my Outer Banks with the 2.3 liter turbo. It's just what I wanted. And yes, it kills off-road in southern Oregon.
Thought the same thing. Replace it with something less expensive.....
Hopefully it doesn't grenade soon
You're not the right owners for it anyway. That thing needs to be driven HARD to get the value out of it. 27,000 miles on mine in 5 states, 2 countries, and countless feet of airtime. Never skips a beat, AND it's my only car/daily driver.
So in other words you aren't selling because of any inherent flaws, you're selling because of your own specific needs that do not apply to anybody else who isn't a TH-camr wanting a more flashy car to show off on the internet. The unreliability spoof was fake, and the only applicable downsides you mentioned were its size and mpg which is readily available info online.
My 21 wasn’t even a year old and the top and transmission (manual) were replaced….. didn’t want to own it after warranty expired….. frightening the cost to repair cars nowadays….. that and with premium at 10$ Canadian per gallon….. it costs $ 1.00 Canadian to go 1.33 Kilometres (just short of a mile)
So if you use it 99.9% of the time for just hauling stuff around, perhaps an Ideal solution would be the exact opposite in the fuel mileage spectrum. One of those little import micro trucks.
Just seen a kei truck pulling a Tesla
I had several small pickups of years ago. I owned a 1978 Toyota Longbed Hilux model which was the bottom model. I paid $5400 for it, no air, no power windows, vinyl seats, etc. It was good to about 150,000 miles and just was falling apart. My best truck I owned was a Ford 1989 Ranger again a stripped model, and paid $7200 for it out the door. I got 267,000 miles out of it before it wore out and would not pass inspection. It was a wonderful truck with 5 speed stick on the floor. Today you cannot buy a basic truck anymore, and the Ford Ranger now has blown up to be a four door which I would not own. I want a truck for hauling with truck cab, not to be used as a family car. Again, you cannot get it with roll up windows, vinyl floor mats and seats. No, they have add a lot of high tech stuff which I do not want.
Low-T micro truck imports. Terrible for your health.
My nephew has one of these…he says he gets 9 mpg….gas hogs
If the Raptor is overkill, then just go for a lower trim Bronco (better fuel economy, same dimensions on the inside, not as wide on the outside, and unlike the Raptor: available with manual transmission).
The wildtrak is a nice bronco. Good suspension, not nearly as wide, and comes with the 2.7 ecoboost that still has lots of power and pushes 17 to 20 mpg.
Great, honest appraisal, Brad. The price and cost of ownership of these performance vehicles is wayyyy beyond the means of most of us. They will join the legions of EV’s collecting dust in the showrooms.
Typically if you have a purpose for any vehicle , no matter what you pay it won’t be worth the cost……a Bronco Raptor is a specialty rig ….ya either use it for hat it’s built for and risk damaging it, or drive it occasionally and keep as an icon of sorts ….show piece just to have one in a sense …..keep it long enough and it’ll probably go up in value…
I've owned my stock Rubicon with 35s for three years and go offroad every two weeks and have only changed the brakes once and oil changes .
That's it
It’s an underpowered gas guzzler as well!. With oil leaks to come!. Ask me how I know?
👍
i'm sure your vehicle is in tip top shape...
@matthewschiebout7384 2021 Rubicon with 35s and that's it.
In the snow having fun in winter and hitting trails every weekend in the summer.
Only oil changes and brakes just once.
I had 0 issues.
Maybe people taking Saharas off road had issues ?
After all Rubicon parts are bigger and stronger.
@@tomvalen3992 OK…. “How do you know” 🤔
to spend 100k for an offroader today is ridiculous and stupid - in my mind
I noticed in the video you have different wheels and tires, what size are the tires? And what is the back spacing of the wheels? Thanks for the video👍👍👍👍👍
I think a Badlands with e-locker in the rear and slight upgrade on the tires would work pretty good. And seems like I have built one on Ford's website for around $40k.
After seeing their video I doubt I would buy it from them
i ordered this one from Dubai 3.0 version and shipped it to india. It rocks!!
Just get the Manual Bronco at $40, with a factory tuned it brings 340hp and almost 20 mpg. Ask me how I know
how you liking it?
@@IdealMediaChannelit’s awesome! Very zippy for a tank, and actually enjoy driving it in the canyons. My other two cars are Evora and Miata … just for a reference.
Got an ad for a 2024 bronco on this video 😂
I think there are 2 points: 1st this car was not made to be fast, should be a delicious experience drive it in terrains in Brazil or Vietnam. 2nd this car was made to take you to far way lands in the worst way possible, but not in the fastest way. It’s a terrible decision of ford not to sell it here in brazil
Andar com um desses, largos como um caminhão, nas estradas estreitas do Vietnam é osso!
Dude, your video just showed up on my TH-cam feed. I’m also from Oregon so I had to subscribe anyway I definitely hope that the bronco Raptors do depreciate a couple years cause I would love to have one for less than 100 grand
How is it for just everyday daily driving? I'm looking at the Bronco Raptor hard as a do everything daily driver. And a forever vehicle.
I feel the same way about my 2003 Honda pilot .
03-08 Pilots are golden though. They’ll last 300k, as long as you aren’t an idiot and forget about maintaining the rear differential. Ask me how I know.
@@The-fs5wn there's certainly more to maintain than that!
Mine has 40s and it is struggling to get 12 hwy, But it is waaaay better than the H1 I owned. I broke everything on the H1 including a-arms. Having said that, the original pric3e of the H1 was 120k in 2001 and that truck is now worth over 200k. The Raptor was 100k, let's see what it will be worth in 20 years.
Looks like central OR. Lived in Bend as a kid. It was great back then.
20k miles with my Bronco, not issues so far.
Buckle up, they’re absolute junk
@AA-mk4pu 23k miles not issues
Done with Ford after 40yrs. 5.4Triton did me in. Engineers are off the rails. Nice old Cummins for me, 26MPG and 715 miles a tank.
Lol at some of these comments. While I agree, getting BRaptor to just haul things from a shop, was not a good idea. If you plan to haul, you need a truck, WITH A BED, to actually you know, haul things. I sold my Harley F150 for the opposite. I don't haul things anymore, and I wanted to go off-road. So I did not buy a BRaptor, I bought a BAdlands and built it out to what can easily compete with any raptor. Also ANY Bronco or Truck or Jeep running on 35's 37's 40s....well yeah your not going to get MPG from it. If you want a MPG machine, then it will not be a very capable hauler. That is just the name of the game.
Maybe you ought to have purchased another vehicle. See if a Hummer does any better. The Rockefeller’s love their Bronco. Me? I used to own two different Broncos YEARS AGO. One an Eddie Bauer Edition. They were great vehicles I cannot afford the Rockefeller Edition. Enjoy your ride.
The Toyota 4Runner is still the king of the mountain!
It's a good looking machine 👌
Section 179 says it needs to be over 6,000 lbs. GVWR, not weighs over 6,000 lbs.
Also think a 5 year hold is required, or you have to report back the deduction as income in the year you sell.
Normally the Raptor packages make the trucks look cool and mean. On the Bronco it's the exact opposite. It's hideous with those afterthought wheel arches
Daily drives the vehicle, hardly takes off-road, buys to establish credit/look cool/review, and complains about how doesn't make sense...I'd recommend a Toyota Highlander!
In other words, it neatly sums up what Murrrca simply _refuses_ to grasp about the world around it.
This vehicle is wasteful of space, resources and money, it's impractical, it's weirdly over-indulgent, and it's stupidly polluting.
Ford doesn't care, and apparently Raptor buyers don't care either. 🤷♂️
Also, it's demonstrably unfit for purpose. (Would a farmer buy a Dodge Challenger for his farm vehicle? No - that would be brainless!)
Nevertheless, here you are.... 🙄
Toyota Land Cruiser next?
That tax deduction, you're gonna have to take a L back from the IRS....
Nice vid bro
Again, I ask: why not put a V8 engine with twin turbos?
Man, if only you had something with the same capabilities, at least as fast, that you didn't have to worry about scratching and didn't suck gas. Also would be nice if it had a bed. Oh and was bulletproof, why not. Well, I guess that's just a fantasy truck that doesn't exist.
Auto companies know exactly how to go out of business. The masses are their main market and they choose to build vehicles for the few. Ev is another great example 🙈.. yeah become the average Joe can dole out money for crap to get them the their fourth job of the day. I was recently approached by a jeep dealer that was pushing a rubicon on me that cost 95k. I laughed at him and told him I owned a 4Runner. The push back was “sell it and move up “ I laughed harder.
replace with a Tundra TRD Pro or new 4Runner (2025?)...mpg's are better and overall price is less....both very capable
let's be honest the main issue with this thing is the price 100k for a ford
Get a GX470…it’s relatively cheap and fills all your needs!!
No…. I get 8 mpg in mine and spend $700 a month on gas in it
Man I love the new Bronco 😁🙌🏽🔥
Leaking fuel injectors now on the Bronco. Trouble.
It's your shop truck that you beat the hell out of and maybe it seems odd that you act surprised or disappointed that maybe some things aren't working. I don't care what it is any vehicle you go punish it out on the trails for a year things are going to go wrong
Your next vehicle should be a Land Cruiser 200, best vehicle I have ever owned hands down
I know why you bought it. You’ll make money when you sell it. Keep living that “Ideal lifestyle”, brother. 👍
Not now...the prices have dropped, and Ford quit producing Bronco's as they say they cannot get parts. A total bunch of BS, no it is recalls and poor quality.
nope, still adding more jobs to Bronco and stopping the lightning production actually. @@Idelia412
at least the tie rods did not bend..... yet... snapper?
Ordered a Grenadier instead. Cannot deal with all the under engineering and so brittle. One ton gear and a solid axle makes more sense to me then repairing on the trail.
Bronco Badlands, great SUV
Never saw a gas station that it didn't love. 🐷slurp slurp guzzle Time to turn the page.
O let me see if I got this right …… you bought an expensive car and your main gripe was that it ……… was expensive? Brilliant analysis
Yeah
Sounds like my lawn mower 😂
I can't look at a banana without thinking of Lizzo.
2014 FJ cruise
It’s neat. 12mpg and no v8 rumble…hard pass. Gx550 ftw
replace with Ford Bronco Wildtrak, less expensive, still awesome. Also not as wide.
Badlands is the best and most bought model
Premium fuel. ??
With that weight mileage must be bad.
It's like the V4 turbo in the Jeep , it needs Premium fuel to reach its power numbers.
Not good
Its not a v4 its inline 4
Like the other guy said, I4 not "V4" and it's pretty common for super/turbo charged engines to need premium fuel to make peak advertised horsepower/torque ratings.
@nathanmcdonald610 4 is 4 .
What's the difference ?
Yes hope to achieve those factory power numbers people like premium fuel because it's prices are insane.
Sure put regular but then your losing 20% of the power.
Especially with that turbo
@@Ken-qq6gp A 4 is a 4 just like a 6 a 6 or 8 an 8 regardless of it's cylinder configuration, but when you're going to comment about perceived problems of a vehicle it helps people take you seriously if you at least know the basics like for example how extraordinarily uncommon a "V4" engine configuration is comparatively to the wide spread use of the I4 configuration. Secondly, this is a performance vehicle, people who spend the money to own and drive one of these likely have very little concern about the fact that it requires premium fuel. That's like someone buying a Ferrari and then bitching because it has to have 93 octane.
If your biggest concern is fuel mileage and octane requirement than the chances are the Bronco Raptor isn't very high on your list to begin with. There are plenty of more mild mannered vehicles out there both turbo and naturally aspirated that will operate just fine on regular 87 octane and get better mileage thus suiting your needs better.
We're riding with ya.
Try to buy someone’s allocation for a cyber truck. Nothing exciting is out right now that hasn’t already been done. People lose interest if it’s not new.
My best friend bought a Bronco raptor a year ago and I bought a Rubicon 392 , both great cars I think but if you are looking for power and a real beast a 392 will fill both . Bronco Raptor has great tech and a twin turbo but not even with that beats a Rubicon 392. My friend sold his Bronco after 3 months and is now part of the Rubicon 392 family.
He should have known! 😂
Okay, replacement-Bronco Sport Badlands
4Runner
This machine is just too big, much too wide and way too expensive. No, it won't tip over like the Bronco II did but it's also way more complex.
Thought that was you i saw the other day at the gas station
If they would offer it with the 5.0 backed by a manual maybe it wouldn't be as much garbage as it is. 🤷♂️
Ffs. "Mah fee ate sound go vwoom vwoom."
I like the new pfp
I would say the 24 Land Cruiser or 24 Ranger Raptor
Ford never disappoints,Unreliable, tons of recalls, sub par quality.
I like owning my home. I don't need an overpriced Bling truck , when I can pay off the house instead . You could build your Beastie for much less and not cry when you break it. No Thanks . Even cheaper used you have breakdowns and Maint.
Cha ching and lets go
At the end of the day, it’s still a FORD. Enough said
H2 hummer comparison
I's rather buy a $10K hummer h2 and put $90K into it. It would be a BEAST ! 1000hp , roll cage , all of it
How many Fools would pay 75k+ to jump ditches and climb rocks ???
Mazda C90....?????
Lexus gx550
We all need to stop paying tge stupid money for new trucks. If we do maybe prices will come back to normalcy 😮
Replace it with the Ineos!
Yes, good choice.
2024 land cruiser!
SUV attract attention ❔
Too wide and narrow for trails, and curvy small countryside roads
Get a Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro!
Ram Rebel 2500 diesel
A day in the life….it’s all fun and games till somebody misplaces the door bolts!
Hahaha guilty as charged!
You know... Wranglers don't have that problem. Just a thought.
RAPTOR RANGER
Replace it with a ram 1500 classic
How about a canoo electric pickup. And now for something completely different
SuperCarTruck?
Could go for another Raptor of a different flavor. Ranger Raptor. Far less expensive and has a bed.
Chevy ZR2?
Since you're asking for suggestions for a replacement, I'd recommend a 2024 Jeep 392 Wrangler or a 2023 Ram TRX Special Launch Edition.
Maintenance on a TRX is no slouch. $250 just for air filters, plus I was averaging 11.7 mpg on a 32 gallon tank… which means you’re STILL spending a lot of time/money at the pump. Just get a plain ole ‘22 Raptor (‘23-‘24 have the electronic locking diff) and call it a day… thats what I did 👍🏻
The reliability of those is very poor
Quit worrying about the $$ and use it as it meant to be used. There is nothing to replace it with that compares except a 2024 Bronco Raptor! It's easy to spend another man's money and scratch and dent another man's ride. LOL, I have 2 Raptor F-150s that I love and use daily, but I have a 2022 Bronco Raptor in my garage that registers 102 miles! I'm waiting on a virtual headset that will allow me to set on the driveway while feeling the experience of jumping terraces and climbing rock walls. Too nice to destroy, but too cool to sell.
Once they said "weeeeeee" I was out! Clearly this video was targeted toward preteen and early teen boys.
Stay with the horse thematic - no no no, not a Mustang, a 1972 Ford Pinto 😁
The f150 raptor is an inch wider
Dacia Duster
2023 Toyota Land Cruiser ( 70 Series ), 4WD
damn $6.00 for a gallon of gas ... why do people live there ?
100K is a Joke!
