    I'm a GMC guy, but have to give Ford credit for offering excellent value on this Bronco. Four wheel drive, manual transmission and air conditioning. What more does a truck guy really need? I'm glad to give up all the ridiculous "upgrades" in exchange for a clutch and decent fuel mileage.

    Gosh I love these things. It’s so refreshing to see a true barebones real 2 door SUV with 3 pedals for a somewhat reasonable price. Especially in a land where everyone and their dog has a big unnecessary crossover with heaps of redundant technology and 0 capability. People have forgotten what a real SUV is, and this is the greatest example of one in what feels like decades. I look forward to seeing these on the used market in the coming years. Might have to pick one up at some point.

    Thank you for that!! That Bronco appears to bee a candidate for a replacement for my beloved 2007 Honda Element. Manual 5 speed trans, 4wd with no bells and no whistles. But it had 75 cu ft of cargo room and could swallow a few pieces of 8 foot lumber. And it had a tailgate (HELLO BRONCO - Yeah, that tailgate thing is a big deal). Gotta look at the numbers to see if the 2 door bronco has enough room in it. I could have a manual trans and rear wheel drive - a BRAND NEW ONE! My Mustang may be on the market soon.

    I got a higher trim for the off-road traction aids, but like you I got the stick. Expected to hate the autostop, but I concur that it's no problem, because the first thing you do to get going is depress the clutch, that restarts the engine so it's ready to go into gear as soon as you shift. It causes no delay and saves some gas, so while there's a handy button to disable the feature, I never press it. However worth noting if you stay on the clutch, the engine stays running.

    Love my 22' 2 door Base manual in the Area 51 color. (My base price was $28,500 before only a few extras). Got the 2" Zone lift kit and currently sitting on 35" Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT's.

      The few extras I got were the roof rails, modular front bumper, aux switches, and block heater. Since I got it in March of 2022 I've put on ceramic tint, 12" sub and amp, bug deflector, rocker panel armor, 50cal bullet antenna, Husky floor liners, Oracle triple fog lights, Rough Country Osram ditch lights, front tow shackles, overhead grab handles, and probably forgetting a bunch of things lol.

    Yup, and a consistent 23 mpg mixed driving. The hill brake is a big plus. The Bridgestone Dulers is not what I would expect on the base 2 door. I did opt for the modular bumper to be flat tow capable, mud flaps, opt switches, roof rack and aftermarket running boards and tow hitch. I feel all of the option's prices were also a bargain.

    only thing I'd really be missing is the bigger screen, and leather wrapped heated steering wheel and heated seats. If anybody knows where you can mod those, be sure to send me some links.
    I don't really want to spend an extra 13,500 CAD to get a Badlands just to have a few features that I'd prefer and a bunch that I'd never use until the vehicle is 15 years old. Who buys these things brand new just to beat the piss out of them and scratch and dent them up right away?

    • @MoneyShift
      @MoneyShift  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you get the screen and bezel from your Ford dealer you should be able to upgrade to the bigger screen. If you are ok with not having the built in Nav it is a total cakewalk to install.
      As for the heated seats, Katskin offers an add-on for them should you want to go that route, and the steering wheel is a direct swap as well!

    There is this huge push for outlandishly large tires on wranglers, broncos, trucks, when inly a few short years ago the tires were much smaller. Bronco's are fine for city driving. As far as what you said about being the same as a Jeep. """Coughs"" Uh What???? How is a 4 cylinder as good as a 6 cylinder??? Explain that to me. As far as off road ""Coughs"" uh lay on your back and look under your Bronco. The Tyrod's are as skinny as chop sticks aren't they. Keep looking. ""Coughs" "you sure it's the same as a jeep?? Hogwash, Unless you're buying the Big Bend or Raptor made in Mexico isn't good, neither is a uni-body frame. Jeep has a #1-piece steel frame. Jeeps always come as plain janes. Stick shift and roll up windows. No radio or glove box. Want A/c or Heat that's extra too. Want cruise control that's extra too. Everything on a Wrangler comes in packages. And every package costs more. $$$$$$$$$$$$. It has always been that way with any jeep. Not just Wranglers. When you buy a plain jane jeep, you get absolutely nothing. Not even a radio. I'm a Jeep man. Long ago I had a job , I wore a badge, I had a form I had to agree too before they would hire me. That form said I had to be at work every single day of the year. Floods, snow, Godzilla coming ashore, whatever. I signed it. I cannot begin to tell you how many I saw let go, because of this little clause. A lot of very sad upset young men. Most had 4-wheel drive trucks or supped -up trucks. A lot of others had Subaru's. One had a Cadillac S.U.V. All got their walking papers. Jeeps will climb trees. They laugh at foul weather. I retired. I'm currently driving a 2022 Wrangler Eco-Diesel Auto, I got everything on mine except the #4 goats and servant girl package. Wife wasn't going for it. ""I tried""...!!! Nothing goes like a Wrangler. Don't be fooled or fed "Hogwash" you want the dependability, the go anywhere, the do what others can't, then you buy a proven tree climber. """A Wrangler""". Also check out their re-sale value Vs a Bronco LOL. Sure, that Bronco is """"AS""" Good as a Wrangler. Sure, it is Trust him. Buy one. If you do, don't sign that little clause...!!!! Peace.

The Broncos I test drove all had "leaky" wind noise coming through the roof even at low speeds, none of the Jeeps I test drove did. The rear door has to open crazy far before you lift the glass up....crazy far. There are others.
