Pecans 1 stick of butter separated Heavy cream 1/2 cup Added sweeter 1/3 cup of sweetener and should start thickening add pecans back in mixture Vanilla flavoring 1 tablespoon of butter Then put on paper and refrigerate
Hi I made these twice now first time as you did and second time I made them with brown sugar replacement. Brown sugar was way better. Thanks for sharing
I've made this 3xs now. My third time came out the best. I realized I wasn't cooking it long enough because my first two tries, it came out runny. I also added 10 drops of Wild Orange essential oil at the end of the recipe. Oh me, oh my! That just up-ed the flavor!
Ok. So I made these on today. I used 1/8 of pure baking soda so butter and heavy cream wouldn’t separate. I also added 1/4 more of heavy cream with 1 teaspoon of brown sugar. Maybe not keto but Fannie Mae might want to get in touch with me because they’re super creamy and delicious 😋
Mayra it's so obvious you're very PASIONATE coming up and sharing all these wonderful recipes to help us in our journey to better health. You make the keto lifestyle so "pain free" so normal and so so delicious. Thank you so much.
I just made... Used monkfruit with erithrytol, added some xanthum gun as suggested, and it came out amazing. I did also add a sprinkle of cinnamon maple sugar and it's in the fridge setting up. Can't wait!!!
Yea i used swerve confectioners and it didnt have the same consistency. No worries i just whipped up heavy whipping cream and mixed all the pecan goodness together. Threw it in the freezer for a nice cold dessert later 😁👍
Growing up in Louisiana where pralines (prahleens not prayleenz!) were created first, we call them pah-cons not PeeCans. You call a can of peas Pea Cans. Just like people say New Orleenz instead of the correct way, N'Awlins!! Thanks for this recipe!! Looks awesome!! YUMM!!! 😋 😋 😋
This is one of my favorite candies and can only get them from my favorite Mexican restaurant ( not low carb). You’ve brought joy back into my life! 😉 THANK YOU, Myra. You’re a true blessing!!
*These pralines look incredibly decadent, and I love that they're keto-friendly. Can't wait to try them out and satisfy my cravings without derailing my progress!*
The kind of sugar substitute you use definitely makes a difference. After a fail using sucralose I tried it again using truvia cane sugar blend and it worked out way better
Thank you Myra! Love you and your channel! ❤️❤️❤️ Here's another way to do the pecans, also, super easy,.🥮 I roast my pecans in the oven at 375° for about 10 minutes or until I can see the edges starting to brown. Then I stir them around and bake for another 5 minutes. I'll make alot and freeze some. I make a 2lb. bag. I make my mixture in a pot on the stove with 1/2 cup of butter, 1/2 cup of coconut oil, and melt. It does brown up like browned butter. Then I turn off and pour in a cup of sugar free maple syrup, and a teaspoon of vanilla. Mix together. I take the pecans out of the oven and put them all in the pot and stir them up, coating them well. I let them cool. Then I divide up the mixture into four or five containers, making sure each one has enough of the buttery mix. I sprinkled some Himalayan pink salt on them for a sweet and sour taste. That's optional, and just the way I like mine. I'll freeze two containers, and put two in the fridge. They harden up in both. I love eating them out of the container, but have to be careful not to eat too many. They are so good! Or I put some on my Keto Ice Cream. Yum! 😁 I think I'm going to try sprinkling some cinnamon with allulose on some I made today. I haven't tried that yet.
AT THE BEGINNING IF YOU USE BUTTER THAT COMES IN 8 TBSP PER STICK, USE ONLY 4-5 TBSP. THEN ADD THE EXTRA TBSP NEAR THE END LIKE NORMAL. this is how I did mine and they came out normal 😊😊😊
I made these with the swerve sugar and it turned out really runny.😥 I was upset about my waisted products. I’m going to purchase the allulose to see if it works better. Is there anyway possible you can put that the swerve sugar will not work with this particular recipe? I believe that it would help a lot of people. Anywho!! I love your recipes! They have changed my life! Please keep them coming.❤️😋
Mines was a disaster as well. Butter separated, it was gross. Mostly mad at my wasted products & money🙁 She should say in the video that Swerve sugar will mess up the recipe 😞
You are pronouncing it correctly. “Puh-kaan.” “Pee-can” is (etymologically speaking) an incorrect pronunciation. 👍🏼 I can’t wait to make these pralines! I ❤️ pecans!
Hi Mayra, Low Carb QUEEN!! 👸🏻 I am obsessed with your recipes, but not in a stalker way! 😂 In fact you're the only person on TH-cam I have notifications pop up for. I made these pralines about 3 days ago while I'm house/dog sitting for a friend. I made sure I brought my allulose (my go to choice) because I know it doesn't recrystallize and behaves like sugar more than most sweeteners, I toasted my pecans, and brought my vanilla. I always have whipping cream on hand. It was a no-brainer! I'm also a caramel LOVER! I didn't have parchment, so I placed them on buttered foil. I may have cooked them a bit too long to get the candy consistency, so the caramel had a very slight burnt flavor to them, but they turned out perfectly!! I might add the pecans closer to the end of cooking next time. I will tag you on IG! I'm thinking of making some caramelized pecans or maybe even putting some of the caramel sauce into some vanilla ice cream that you just showed us how to make! Thanks for all you do!
Hun these are bomb!!! I think I’ve turned my boyfriend Keto because he eats every one of your recipes, that I’ve made so far…he says he doesn’t miss the carbs or sugar! Lol

Looks fab! I have really missed Leche Quemada pecan candies from an old Mexican restaurant that is no longer there, in San Antonio. I loved them, looked forward to the end of the meal. I will def be making these ASAP! I can already taste them 😉😋😋😋
I will have to make these. My husband and I are obsessed with your candied pecans. I make them once a week as a sweet little treat for his lunches. Thanks for the great video!
I say pecans exactly like you and I am Minnesotan.Thank you for your wonderful recipes! They definitely make it easier to keep eating low carb for my diabetes.

This looks good but a lot of people in the comment sections are asking for measurements and you aren't responding and there's no link to the recipe. Why spend five minutes showing us how to drop them on the cookie sheet and zero time with the measurements. People are saying they tried this and it separated. Please help.
Yummy !, with respect can I offer you a friendly challenge ?, do you think you can tackle a completely sugar free sticky date pudding ?, it's my favourite.
ATTENTION: This recipe does NOT turn out right if you use Swerve Confectioners Sugar. You MUST use an allulose powdered sugar. I found out the hard way!😆😆😆
Those pralines look delicious. Dunk them in dark chocolate, and you've got Turtles! I wonder if they would need to be refrigerated, or would the chocolate harden enough that they wouldn't need to? Has anyone given it a try yet?

PEE-cans or Pe-Cannes? How do you pronounce it?
PEE-cans
Puh cahns!
Pee-cans
Pee-cans are something you take with you on a long car trip when there are no bathrooms.
A pecan(pa-con)is a nut you eat.
My home state is California where we called them peh-cahns, but when we moved to New Orleans, everyone called them pee-cans. 😂
Pecans
1 stick of butter separated
Heavy cream 1/2 cup
Added sweeter 1/3 cup of sweetener and should start thickening
add pecans back in mixture
Vanilla flavoring
1 tablespoon of butter
Then put on paper and refrigerate
What kind of sweetener?

MIne separated too. So disappointed.
Mine too
I’m wondering if the recipe lists too much butter. In the video, it sure doesn’t look like she put a whole stick in the pan
