    I used to not care about shippers etc. but those people have been clearly too much gatekeeping Eren from Historia, the girl who actually COMMUNICATED with and UNDERSTOOD him. They keep attacking like mad dogs it's so baffling and exhausting to see them on Twitter, TH-cam, etc. Even if you took the "romance" out of EreHisu, the chemistry is still there, the storyline is there, the relevancy to the whole plot is there. Have you seen Eren headbutting Historia? Punching Historia in his Titan form? Venting out to Historia only to get mothered without any solution? Telling Historia "I actually hated you"? No? Good, then fix that toxic relationship first before hindering the one that actually makes sense. What Eren did to Historia was defending her, frustrated for her when she was in danger and about to be sacrificed, telling her his plan and encouraging her, COMMUNICATING IN FULL SENTENCES and often in serene emotional state. And Historia also did the same to him HENCE THEY TALKED, UNDERSTOOD AND BONDED WITH EACH OTHER. If those people come here with the scarf or 139 to defend themselves, then talk to the wall.

    I'm not blind, isayama was clearly showing that attack on titan 's moral story was between kill or being killed, If isayama was consistent with his story, we all know what would have been the outcome, eren clearly had a goal in mind in chapter 131 and that was too destroy the rest of the world in order to protect paradis island from being wiped out, am I missing something?

    full rumbling is the worst ending.... why?
    it's literally the ending everyone thought when the ending audio track was released. most of the ending defenders were eren stans who changed their minds because they didn't accept that their favorite work has become a lump of fan service, and they tried to disown everything just to make the ending look better than when it isn't.

      I've noticed something with a lot of ending defenders that I've talked to. They often have to completely disregard huge chunks of the story to justify why the ending makes sense yet they seem to not realize that that confirms the ending makes no sense. I once got in a debate with an ending defender who thought Eren throwing a tantrum over not being able to be with Mikasa made sense because......get this........he claimed Eren never got any character development whatsoever. That was his argument. Apparently he forgot about, at least, 50% of the story.

    Overall absolutely agree, but there are two points where I would chime in:
    1. I think Zeke's conclusion does not work only because of its execution. The way he changed his mind was just way too fast-paced and irrational. But let's say Eren finishes the Rumbling and shows Zeke a world where children can actually be born free (from oppression). That could change his nihilistic views over time.
    2. Not a shipper and don't care too much about it, but I do think Eren and Historia share a bond of love. The show highlights their trust and care for each other on multiple occasions and even builds up the pregnancy-plot between them. If anything, those two probably share the deepest bond of understanding and respect in the story. I don't know what qualifies as love to most people, but if "yOu wRappEd a sCarF aRouNd mE" with zero understanding of Eren (which she and the story highlight multiple times) qualifies as love, then I would qualify Eren and Historia's bond as love as well.

      I do agree with Zekes idea but not Historia tbh, people may argue whether they want to ship Erenhisu or something( i always felt like they were more like really close besties than actual lovers with feelings towards each other { I also feel like it will piss off YmirHisu fans as the story does imply them having a relationship via the letter Ymir sent and that Hisu would be betraying that trust or something idk} compared to Mikasa who really is in a one sided relationship with Eren in a loving way but does not understand Erens motives and only loves him based on his actions {i.e being courageous or other protective actions who will keep others happy in any way kinda deal} than what he thinks about i.e his goals which really does not develops her character or give any agency to her tbh ) but really some also feel Eren should not have a happy life after all he did with the Rumbling really, it leaves a bitter taste for those fans who feel like some retribution needs to happen for Erens actions especially for those who are on the alliance side really, a overall good conclusion I feel ( i could be wrong here feel free to correct me ofc) should involve all main characters being dead on this war except the people of Paradis and Historias kid being alive in a world which does not face extinction anymore ( civil war argument is also something people bring up but none will fight to the point of the extinction of all life in the Island ofc) which Eren finally does achieve his goals but does face the consequences of his actions in some way like the founding Titans power killing him in some manner or something, overall Paradis being alive is something that will be agreed by all fans even if they side with the alliance

    About the Titan Curse, it was straight up said by Armin after Eren became the Founder how he literally could just take away the Alliance's Shifter powers anytime he wanted. For the sake of ending the curse, why couldn't he have just done that to all the shifters and then they make sure to destroy all the Titan Serum left around? That would've been a super simple and realistic solution to eliminating Titan Shifters and any possibility of another Eldian being turned into a Pure Titan. Another reason why 139 is fucking nonsensical garbage that's inconsistent with the whole story that comes before it.

    • @teamtx1578
      @teamtx1578 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      I've had several issues with not just the Founder's powers but Titan powers in general. If I were writing this story, I'd make a few major changes.
      1. I'd make it so the Founder can't take away the power of the shifters because the other Titan shifter powers are basically split parts of the Founder. This would help address the issue you brought up as to why Eren didn't just take away the Alliance's Titan powers. I'd also have this apply to pure Titans as well.
      2. I'd change how the Curse of Ymir works by doing away with the 13 year rule and instead making it so that every time a shifter uses their powers, it shaves time off their lifespan. It's already established in canon that using Titan powers takes a toll on the shifter's physical health (such as with the nosebleeds) so I'd explain it by having the shifter's body start deteriorating at a faster rate whenever they use their powers. Also, I'd make it so that if a shifter dies before someone inherits their Titan, that Titan power is lost forever instead of going to a random baby.
      3. I wouldn't give the Attack Titan the ability to see the future. That ability just opened up a huge can of worms and I personally feel it hurt the story more than anything. I'd probably just give the Attack Titan super regeneration powers.

    • @Cloke100
      @Cloke100 ปีที่แล้ว

      The reason Eren didnt do away with the titan shifter ability immediately (if he was able to do that) was because Paradise would still be at risk, so he wanted to destroy everyone outside of Paradise.

Since ending defenders always use the argument of “Eren didn’t full rumble for his friends”, my point is he could have easily have full rumbled and kept his friends alive… ugh there is no much potential. Eren did see what would happen to Sasha but he chose to ignore it like any other person would. He didn’t realize he would be a slave to fate until the moment Sasha died. He was hoping for a different outcome then what he saw. When hange went to his cell he’s asking for “another way” to save paradis. He doesn’t know what else to do than follow what was shown to him by his future self. In akuma no ko the cage you see forming around him IS NOT THE WALLS. It’s FATE. DESTINY. You could clearly see the lyrics talking about destiny. As for Hanges death I think it was just shit writing killi her off. Eren is a weird character. On one side he’s doing this for his friends and on the other he’s doing it to free eldia. Which out of the two does he really want? We don’t fucking know because the writing is so shit and he contradicts himself. Why would full rumbling ending be bad? Because it sends the wrong message to the audience. THE ONLY AND I MEAN ONLY REASON THEY KILL EREN OFF WAS SO THAT THEY COULD SHOW THE AUDIENCE THAT GENOCIDE WAS NOT THE RIGHT ANSWER TO THIS PROBLEM. You might ask why tf did they let reinar and Annie live? And honestly I’m fucking asking the same question. People need to stop looking at this show like it’s some top tier writing because it’s not and never will be. Now I think the manga ending was shit because it doesn’t solve shit and the execution was terrible. But if they use that to create an AOE then I will take everything back.

      Eren couldn‘t save sasha because he just knows some parts of the future and it‘s a derermined future so it‘s set in stone he can‘t change it.
      if he for exmaple wants to save sasha he will at the end be the cause she dies, it‘s set in stone that she will die he can‘t change it.

    Here's the explanation for the worm(I am calling it hallu chan) [Please real until the end]
    So first of all there is no explanation for hallu chan's power it is supernatural thing, but isayama has given a reason as to what it is, hallu chan first of all is a parasite like thing that existed since prehistoric times and has always latched on other living things to survive like the tree, ymir, eren etc. There is a misconception that hallu chan gives everyone who touches it titan powers but that is simply incorrect because what hallu chan does is that it manifests a person's innate desire or nature for latching on to others.
    The reason why the inclusion of hallu chan is so important because it fits right into the theme of nature vs nurture that isayama wants to portray from the start, the thing with nurture is that it always exists and influences us in the form of the world, like the world can force a human to do things that the human may not want to do but the same cannot be said about one's nature, your innate desire may and may not be always achieved because may be it is unrealistic or may be because you don't have the power required to achieve it that is why isayama included hallu chan a being that can manifest a person innate desire no matter how unrealistic it is.
    In chapter 137 zeke clearly said to armin that the reason titan came into being is because ymir wished for it, of course she didn't wish of it like I want titan power but rather when she was being chased by king's soldiers and the dogs she was facing death, to avoid death in her mind she wished to be something powerful something bigger that can avert her incoming death so when she came in contact hallu chan it manifested her unrealistic desire in the form of a big powerful giant that is later called titan, this isn't the only manifestation of innate desire we see by hallu chan, after the king pillaged ymir's village and murdered her parents, ymir was going through intense trauma and loneliness, her parents got killed, her own her people betrayed her and she was being chased to death, what ymir wanted was a desire for human connection to cope with her loneliness, that why when the king showed her kindness and praised her for her deeds eventho he was the one who caused her all the trauma and loneliness she can't do nothing but latch onto the little bit of human connection, king fritz offered to fill her desire for connection, she knew it was toxic and brought her more misery than anything, and she wanted a outing from it but she doesn't wanted to betray her love for fritz (note- please remember that for ymir love for fritz is the human connection that she got out of fritz to cope her loneliness and want for human connection and not the love of a normal relationship you think) this is what caused her the agony of love as mentioned in ch139 that's why when the spear came to hit king fritz she jumped in front of it as it was the perfect way for her to escape her miserable life without betraying her love for fritz, but her desire of human connection remains which she never truly got and that's what hallu chan manifested in the form of PATHS, a metaphysical space where all her people the eldians are connected to her as in chapter 137 armin clearly stated "every eldian is connected to one another by paths ...it's because founder wanted to be connected because she wanted something from us", a place where she can serve fritz out of love without actually facing the suffering from him she dealt with in the real world, but this didn't solve any of her problems because the paths was just AI generated version of her desire which is soulless and doesn't understand what she really wanted and caused her more harm.
    Other example of hallu chan manifestion of desire was the hallu chan tree, all the tree surrounding that one were small but it grew taller then the rest because hallu chan manifested it's desire in condition for latching into it even it the end eren's tree which was always small grew to be taller in the final scene in chapter 139, during the rumbling eren final titan was the manifestation of eren's psyche which representated in the form of him being trapped in a bone cage unable to escape with him hunged in the front like puppet.

    I disagree that Eren killing his friends is in character.
    He didn’t get Sasha or Hange killed. There is no confirmation that Eren knew Sasha would die, and I think it likely he didn’t know based on his reaction to it. He didn’t know every single thing that happens in the future beat by beat. As for Hange, yes, Eren controls the titans, but he cannot see the entire map at once and monitor their every movement.
    Yes, Eren was not above putting his friends at risk, but straight up killing them personally would make just as much or less sense than what we got.
    The only way this may work in my opinion is if Eren doesn’t directly kill them himself and he makes an effort to stop them from dying/tells them to turn back. Even then it’s still questionable for me.
    This ending also gives no reasoning as to why Eren wouldn’t just restrain all his friends with the founders power so they can’t interfere. In the original ending he says they are free and doesn’t restrain them only because he is setting them up to kill him, but we wouldn’t have that in this ending.

    • @saintitchief
      @saintitchief  ปีที่แล้ว +15

      i really don’t get this logic. he isn’t like purposefully murdering them, THEY chose to come kill HIM
      “anyone who tries to take my freedom, i wont hesitate to try and take theirs” …?
      does “anyone” mean “anyone except my friends”..?
      if he killed them, it would be out of self defense, not like blatant intent.

    • @user-element115
      @user-element115 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@saintitchief I guess my problem is that there is that scene where Eren is talking to zeke or thinking to himself, I forget the exact details, but he says something along the lines of his friends are the most important thing to him in the world. If he kills them, that would prove his freedom is more important than his friends. In both “versions” of the ending Eren still makes two contradictory statements. The other statement being the one you quoted.
      And there is also the thing I said in the last paragraph of my original comment. Eren can literally restrain them and make them so they can’t move their bodies, which would make killing them pointless when he can just do that. Even if we agreed that he would kill his friends this is still a problem. I would be more for this version of the ending if some sort of work around to that power of the founding titan was added into the story.

    • @saintitchief
      @saintitchief  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@user-element115 well yeah, Eren has contradicted himself in the past. A contradiction doesn’t automatically = bad.
      Yeah he allowed them to fight if they wanted to, he let them have the choice, aka freedom. It makes sense that he gave them the opportunity to choose for themselves, even if it was pointless. That makes more sense and is also more climactic.
      Either way, Eren killing them out of self defense is not in anyway shape or form something out of his character.

    • @user-element115
      @user-element115 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@saintitchief I agree that not all contradictions are bad, but to me, in this case it’s a minor problem at the very least because Eren says two different things meant to be taken as truth and didn’t change much as a character between when he said them. To me it doesn’t read like he’s conflicted and it would be fine if it did. We can write this off as Eren lying to his friends in the original ending but not here.
      Eren restraining his friends while he stomps the world would most likely be very anticlimactic, you’re right. I don’t want that to happen, but the reason I bring it up is because it’s the most logical thing for Eren to do in that situation because if it came down to giving his friends the freedom to choose and them dying as a result or just restraining them he would do the latter and so would anyone else. Killing them is just another way of taking their freedom depending on how you look at it. That’s all I have to say on this subject so I’ll just end my thoughts here.

    • @saintitchief
      @saintitchief  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@user-element115 I don’t get how you can say that when they chose to fight. You act like Eren can read their minds, only reason he knew they would is cause he could see the future. And cause Falco RNG a flying titan. There’s so much luck and nonsense that gets them to be able to kill Eren anyways, that he clearly wanted them to win.
      My thing is, if he is defending himself he is not to blame. They made their choice, if he removes their titans they have no choice.
