I have used this recipe for our holidays this year, my family was so impressed. Me and my family thank you so much for all your hard work making these videos.
My mother used to make these every morning, sometimes twice a day with a 50 lb bag of generic flour for 8 people. My sisters say they were good. I'm the youngest. Whenever I made bread after I married the second time, he loved that bread so much that he once ate the heels off all five loaves that I'd made for our "minister". My hot rolls takes a good while to make because you have to let them rise 2 hours all together and you have to add a lot more stuff this one looks so much easier and faster I will be trying this.. Thanks for sharing and God Bless...
Reminds me of Mom's hot rolls. LOVE those neck towels. I can never find where I lay mine down or our two dogs grab them off the stove door when I am not looking.
I watched this video today. It inspired me so much I went to the kitchen and started my wet ingredients, getting the butter just to melt. I go in the pantry to grab the flour and I only had about 1 cup of all purpose. OH NO!! How did that happen...I imagine too much banana bread lately. Out of desperation, I did a mix of wheat flour, cake flour and all purpose. Those rolls still came out great! Thanks for the recipe. It's a keeper.
Love hearing your lunch lady story! I was the food service secretary taking care of student and adult accounts. So I’m very familiar. I worked for 30 years and retired 11/19.
A dear friend , Pentecostal pastor, from the hollers of s. Missouri, made similar rolls, and pinched them off the same way. Our family lovingly calls them Granny Rolls, in honor of our dear Granny Cates...the absolute yummiest rolls ( next to your, of course😉)

Miss Lori I am so making these tomorrow . I have been looking for a simple roll recipe for nights when I want fresh rolls with my supper . Have you ever tried freezing the rolls ? I do need that dishtowel I am forever loosing my dish towels .
marcy chain I use a similar dinner roll recipe and I’ve frozen them baked, and I’ve frozen them after I pinched them into rolls. The rolls do great either way. I like freezing the pinched dough, you get the fresh bread smell and hot rolls in no time. I just take out however many I need and let them thaw and raise in a warms spot with Saran Wrap that I’ve sprayed with cooking spray, so the plastic doesn’t stick. Then bake them when they’re raised. It takes about an hour or so to thaw and raise them, so if you need rolls later in a hurry, bake them first then freeze them. 😉

Like you I tent to leave my hand TOWELS all over the kitchen when I'm busy 😋
Thank you for making rolls. It’s one of my favorite memories of my momma in her kitchen.
Thank you for your videos, I enjoy them so much. You and Mr Brown warm my heart.
I love all your bread & roll recipes! They remind me of baking with my grandma! She passed when I was 13 so I didn’t get a chance to get all her recipes written down! Thank you & God Bless!
Ms Lori you ARE my kind of people. I too, wish years ago I would have really pushed to get him to Homestead. But for awhile you kinda get tired of the pushing. I love your cabin. Its Absolutely the BEST! Keep those Terrific recipes coming, Love you Lady
Thank you so much!
My hot rolls takes a good while to make because you have to let them rise 2 hours all together and you have to add a lot more stuff this one looks so much easier and faster I will be trying this.. Thanks for sharing and God Bless...
That is a great idea you have your dish towels with you at all times and they are so pretty
Reminds me of Mom's hot rolls. LOVE those neck towels. I can never find where I lay mine down or our two dogs grab them off the stove door when I am not looking.
Right wish she had put info in box
Your grandma sure was a great cook..she taught you VERY well. Thank you for sharing her goodness.💖🕊
Wow, your the rebel now! Lol, I'm so glad they turned out! Xoxoxo
Hello, a year after this video was made, I tackled this recipe and the rolls turned out perfect! My husband and I love them and thank you!
These rolls look amazing! I’m going to make these for Thanksgiving this year!
These rolls are wonderful ! I enjoy your country cooking, I must say, Mr. Brown is a very lucky man.
My Mother made rolls like these for every Sunday dinner. They were yummy all the time.
Love hearing your lunch lady story! I was the food service secretary taking care of student and adult accounts. So I’m very familiar. I worked for 30 years and retired 11/19.
Well, I just love your towels! What a needed gift!
What was her name and fb page or how u get the towels
A dear friend , Pentecostal pastor, from the hollers of s. Missouri, made similar rolls, and pinched them off the same way. Our family lovingly calls them Granny Rolls, in honor of our dear Granny Cates...the absolute yummiest rolls ( next to your, of course😉)
I so enjoy spending time with you and learning new recipes. God Bless you and Danny.

These rolls look absolutely delicious. I think I might make them for Thanksgiving. I also get a little hoarse but I tell people I would never give anyone the satisfaction of me losing my voice lol. God bless! Oh by the, love your shows!
Mrs. Lori I just made these rolls for supper they are so good. I was like a kid in a candy store when they turned out. Thank you so much for giving and showing instructions in your kind way. I'm almost 54 years old and first time making rolls as bread has always intimidated me.
Wonderful!
Oh my, if I cooked all your recipes I would weigh 350 lbs but I love everyone of them! I've heard it takes a lot of work to produce videos but I could watch yours everyday, thanks! Blessings ~Sidney
P.S. cute idea for the hand towels but I wear aprons
I just Love your Channel and during these alone times being a widow in this coronavirus you keep me company Hugs

Those look just like my great aunt's yeast rolls. She made the rolls but froze them on a cookie sheet and then put them in a freezer bag. Yum!

@@robertayoung3928 no I'm not the one. Wish I were, though!!! Sorry.
I appreciate your videos every day you and Mr. Brown have touched our lives with so many wonderful elements of working on our “homestead “ (even if it’s in town). 🥰
Wow, thank you
Yes Ma’am. This cold front came through to Texas and we’re a mess! No one is sick, we just sound like it. 😂
I know, I sound like I've got tonsillitis or something, geeze, xoxoxo
I love love this video. My husband loves homemade bread of any kind and he is going to love these rolls. Thank You ♥️🥰
The rolls look amazing! I’m going to make these this week ☺️
I love that scarf/dishtowel! What a fabulous idea!
Miss Lori I am so making these tomorrow . I have been looking for a simple roll recipe for nights when I want fresh rolls with my supper . Have you ever tried freezing the rolls ? I do need that dishtowel I am forever loosing my dish towels .
marcy chain I have a yeast roll recipe that is awesome, and it is great to freeze.
marcy chain I use a similar dinner roll recipe and I’ve frozen them baked, and I’ve frozen them after I pinched them into rolls. 😉
Yes, I would let them go through the first rise, pinch them out, flash freeze, put in bag, take out put in warm place, let thaw rise, bake 400. Xoxoxo
@@WhippoorwillHoller thank you !
@@WhippoorwillHoller This recipe looks easy and I can't wait to try. Could you please explain to a yankee what exactly is "pinch them out"?!!! I've never heard that term before and want to get it right. Thank-you
Wow!! I just love those towels!! Great gift idea! Love those yeast rolls more!!
I too I'm having trouble with my voice. And I am in Oklahoma one state over. And I think it's the weather and the ragweed
I think so too, so many people sick right now, xoxoxo
Raynona Bohrer hello from Muskogee Oklahoma 👋
Raynona Bohrer I am in FL and we had the grand baby 3 weeks ago and he got sick the day we took him home and 2 days later my hubs and brother who lives with us both came down with it too and they have all been sick since! You are so precious. It is a true joy to learn from you. This is the next recipe I will make. Blessing to you and Mr. Brown.
I made these rolls yesterday! They are absolutely delicious!!! My husband & I love to watch your videos! Y’all are so much like us! We live in Arkansas as well. My husband was observing Mr. Browns cap the other day when y’all were sitting in your swing. Wow! Y’all live close to Pocahontas!!! I have a friend that lives there. They own Shady River Getaways. They rent out small cabins. I feel like I’ve known you forever! I am 61 & my husband is 64. We have been married for almost 43 years. We have 16 grandchildren ( another due anytime now) Our youngest daughter lives in Mountain View. They love it! Oh! I made your latest biscuits too! They are amazing!!!! Thank you so much! 🤗❤️🙏🏻
Just about all my family is from East Texas and although I am older, when I listen to you it brings me peace always maybe because the sound of your voice is soft but it seems like I am a child again listening to my mother and aunts together talking at the kitchen table with me sitting there quietly. It was nice to hear you are from Texas too. Thank you so much. I can feel your kindness and tenderness. I enjoy seeing/hearing the great love between you two!
Thank you so much!
