It would be nice to know about each competitors rifle and cartridge load they are using.

You should give the guy info on all the rifles not just some of them, and leave it up for a little bit too. For some reason the sound is horribly low.

Why don't you write every sportsman rifle, cartridge and equipment?? Only some of them...

Yeah I was a long-distance shooter as well in the military and it seems like all they're worried about reporting is the .50

@@adammanning7630 yeah, this is only the second video of watched of this competition, the first being the last episode/group of shooters, and they only listed the guy shooting the 338 Lapua. I mean I think they said Lapua sponsores this, but geez.

Why do they call it “King of 2 Miles,” when they are shooting out to 1920 yards. I’m no Mathematician but that appears to be about .91 miles shy of two miles.

these are just qualifiers, i think on the next rounds they increase the distance up to 2 miles

smart enough to convert yards to miles, not smart enough to watch the intro. nice.

Yards and miles are nonsense lol. Wish they'd provide a metric conversion for the rest of the planet in the 21st century

Is it just me? Or do the spotters create a disservice to the spotting scope lens by wearing their $120 sunglasses while spotting for their shooter? Do spotting lens quality diminish as it has to pass through another (sunglasses) lens? Possibly bringing the field of view down as well? I can understand the shooters wearing their eye-pro. Small thing, just curious.

they work up to it. plus they are use using a point system at different ranges if they all shot at 2 miles right off the bat, the show would be 5 mins long and it would be only one show. kinda like how golf courses have different holes par 3 par 4 par 5 etc. it's actually a good format IMO simply due to the fact some shooters have a problem at certain ranges and having to reset the rifle at each target and recalculate the dope, levels the playing field somewhat. plus they also have an elimination system as well so when it gets down to the end it's just a few competitors. the best of the best as it were to compete for the crown. i guess it's like Golf for LR shooters. a sport for middle aged and older folks with Dad bods and money can compete in after the legs go.

not that hard to convert it. Where are you from? the US civilian market owns nearly 50% of the entire worlds supply of weapons, and if you add in the US military the US as a whole owns roughly 70% of the entire worlds firearms. The standard unit of measure in the US is yards and miles so thats likely why they're using it in this video. However, if you notice, many of the scopes the shooters are using are in MILs and not MOA but there is a mix of both. I personally use MILs on my scope but still use yards as my unit of measure for distance. My corrections are in MILs which isnt technically the metric system but it mimics it. Units of 10.
