I don't know but I once learned to squeeze the trigger slowly, I see many shooter here jerking it military assault style, for example 10:23 , but I'm no expert. But the guy after it, Derek Rodgers, doesn't do it and hits all. Ah, and btw: What's with the audio? Have to turn it up to 11.

I was just going to write the exact same thing. It seems like they are off the trigger immediately. No follow through. But they shoot better than me so what do I know.

It's a staged trigger. I didn't see anything peculiar. These are extreme distances. All variables come into play.

I compete with some really successful shooters in local precision rifle matches and I'm still blown away by lack of follow through on trigger squeezes. I suspect this came from shooters watching benchrest railgun shooters who essentially don't want to touch their rifle once they're dialed in.

I think a few of these guys are really good, but a bunch aren't. We used to shoot 1000 yards iron sights with semi-auto M1 Garands in .308 in the military and hit about as accurately as these guys do 1500 yards with their high power scopes and match rifles.

"Raton" is the Spanish word for rat. It is pronounced Ra-tone (long "O"), not Ra-tawn.

I can't hear what you are saying. Your audio is too low.

Were you listening with one headphone in?
I realized halfway through this episode the commentary is all left side, shooting and range sound is all right side.

Was the first shooter's scope working? He kept dialing but kept impacting the same spot

I came here to see all the "professional" snipers in the comments that probably couldn't even spell Coriolis, much less know how to hit anything at 1000+.
I can tell you, I have tried to hit a target at 1000 yards with a Lapua .338. Managed to hit the target once out of 20 shots from a fixed mount. Then, proceeded to watch an actual professional hit the same target 10 for 10 from the ground!
That alone gave me some mad respect for these individuals. Atmospherics play a massive role at these ranges.

Just because people are professional, doesn’t make them a carlos hathcock. Remember this type of shooting doesn’t give you half the stress as under fire. A little over 900 meters or est of 985 yards I did with a Remington .308.

Ragnar Danneskjöld good old key board warrior. I bet you own a hipoint and only hit the ground in front of you

At these distances you have to hand load or custom shop and have a very firm grasp on that specific loads ballistics. It's not rocket science. Just math.

Self taught with budget gear. Managed to take a savage 110 fcp running 6.5 reloads to 1500. My friends have run to 2000 with 6.5s and .300 mag at the training facility in Grand Junction, Co.
