Dan Jenkins walks tank owners and contractors through the basics of using "Molecular Bonding Technology" to remove free and emulsified water for fuel tanks. This video will provide and over to the Steel Camel Absorbing Sock, and Basic Fuel Filters used in heavy equipment, recreational vehicles, back up generators and trucks. The short video will show footage results of Steel Camel Technology removing emulsified/suspended water in diesel fuel. Water is a serious problem, particularly when it allowed to sit for a while, or used in environments where there are temperature changes. The problems include fuel injector issues, black smoke, hard starts, emission violations and more.
By removing both emulsified and free water, users will have more combustion energy, better fuel mileage, less corrosion, and less fuel filter changes.
The Steel Camel technology is particularly effective for alternative fuels where the water is bonded to alcohol in suspension.
Used for heavy and farm equipment, back up generators and DYI Biodiesel users.

Sodium Acrylate Copolymer absorbs water, because it is Hygroscopy is the phenomenon of attracting and holding water molecules via either absorption or adsorption from the surrounding environment, which is usually at normal or room temperature.

Hello Seth, thanks for watching and responding. Not all Super Absorbent Polymers are alike. Our product does absorb water but a little different than a diaper. Over time, we can pull moisture from the fluid into the bag.

How will someone determine how much water is in the tank that needs absorbed? When you need to dispose of the camel tail product after it's collected water, is it safe for the environment to just throw it in the trash? Is it going to break down in the environment without harm? How would someone know when the camel tail has collected all the water or if there is more water needing collected thus requiring another camel tail?
Would be great to have some type of funnel that can swiftly collect any water from a gas stations bad tank while you are filling your vehicle with gas.

It is difficult to tell exactly how much water is in the tanks unless taken to a lab, then have a Karl Fischer test completed, even then it hard to pinpoint the exact amount of water. To dispose of, hang It in a cool dry place for several days, then discard in the trash. The chemistry only attract water, any fuel will evaporate off.

I could put one of the tails in my diesel generator tanks and leave it. When I need the generator just take it out. Good idea. It does have a filter that I assumes will remove some of the water. Hopefully. 😊

Yes. Leave it for a few days and pull out to observe. Repeat as needed. Yes we have complementary filters. Just hoot us an e-mail

All you need is a adapter for the filter inline with fuel filter and you would virtually never have to worry about water. Just change the filter with fuel filter or if you leave it sitting for a period of time.

Excuse me i dont understand, could you expand on this a little ?i am new to diesels and boats but now for the second winter in a row i seem to have water in my fuel and my fuel.So you talking about adding something between water filter and fuel filter ,i get that much but im not clear on what you adding exactly ? An additional filter of some kind? Obviously water filter but by what means is what i dont quite get? Thx

So will it absorb water already in fuel lines? I realize its good for fuel tanks but how about the lines? Or am i missing something?

Hello Jason, by removing water in the tank, you will have less water in the lines..........and with filter on the engine......you will have a lot less water in the fuel injector.........happy to help.

How does it deal with bio fuel which is water based and in all fuels?

    • @rhysjones5339
      @rhysjones5339 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Biofuel is not water based.
Water is involved in the production in both the agricultural aspect and the production/processing side, but its not made from water....its still processed from oil but that oil comes from renewable sources like plant oils and animal fats etc

Steel Camel Technology works very well to remove suspended water bonded to different blends of fuel, including biodiesel and ethanol blends. The chemistry attracts and holds the water in our filter paper. If you are cleaning the fuel with filters, the key is slow flow 4-8 gpm. The sock or camel tail takes several days, it will swell and blow up as it collects water. The operator will know when saturated once it blows up all the way.

    • @steelcamel5626

Yes. Our chemistry has ability to pull moisture from the air. The Camel Tail can also be used as a desiccant for gun safes and storage of moisture sensitive devices.

      Hello,
My name is Alex and involved with blocking and removing water here at Steel Camel. Yes, water in fuel can cause lots of aggravation, sludge, black smoke and crappy running engines.
Wanted to ask if you can share what type of diesel tank(s) you have and on what type of equipment. We might be able to send you a few samples to play with.
      Thanks you,
