@Ken-x9w as I understand the rules booklet, there is a map showing a portion of the shoreline that is accessible only to tribal members at the south end of the lake. Shoreline access points for non tribal members are also denoted on the same map. In this video we launched on cowpie beach (kinda rough even for a small boat) the shore fishing was on the west shore about 1/4 mile north of cow pie beach. I will contact a Colville Biologist to get clarification on the legality of this.
I’m thinking of fishing that lake for the 1st time this spring. When you’re fishing in deeper water are you letting your gear sink down to fish or finding them suspended. Tight lines and great video. 👍
@raymonddoerr2523 thanks! These fish are usually suspended but it depends on depth in Spring. Near shore in depths of less than 30 feet they tend to be close to the bottom. So I let my gear hit bottom and either focus on the bottom or work it up through the water column. I've caught them as deep as 70 feet and it seems they are suspended as you go deeper. Focus on the shoreline and different depths out to 50 feet. You'll get em :)
Sounds good, I planned to do most of my fishing from the shoreline with a spinner so it sounds like that’s where I need to be. Thank you, best of luck with the rest of your fishing this year.
There's 3 access points for the shore bound angler on that lake. 1) Mission Bay accessed by driving past the old Sherman Pascal School. It's a good size bay I'd focus on the west shore of that bay and rocks. 2) the Northwest corner of the lake called Nicholson or Beer can beach all 3 sides of that bay are good. 3) Southwest side called Cowpie beach accessible of a little dirt road. The west shore here is good although can be prone to the wind. So you got options depending how much driving you want to do.
@@WitteOnTheWater taking them out of the water and laying them on a scale is mis handling they should stay in the net and just remove the hook.. if you going to pick them up for photo do it very quickly.
The best trout fishery in Washington State! Love all the guitar riffs. Epic video!
The guitar was stupid AF.
Nice video 👌👏

Heading there this week. Hopefully the cruising the shallows by now. Be fishing the shore and with a small raft. Can't wait!

Yeah I think I saw you too!!
Thought it is unlawful to exit boat to access land.

I’ve read the lake is pretty big, any recommendation on which side to fish?

Id love to try this out soon! Is bank access good by any chance? Ill have to check out the permits needed
Is this just for fishing or eating?
I let these trout go but you can keep 3 per day with only 1 over 18 inches from June to March each year. April and May are catch and release only
That mustache and fish were born for the camera.
💕Wow💙💙💙💗💗💗💙
You are mishandling fish to be released.
@2aruncus pretty vague. If I am doing something wrong without realizing it I'd like to know.
