Great video! Bait fishing stockers doesn't always make for the most exciting day or content for that matter, but you guys were absolutely hammering them! Really solid sizes too. Up here in BC they generally stock 12" half pounders so you really only get holdover fish that approach the sizes you guys were getting into. If you are concerned about extra casting distance I would recommend upgrading the Uglystik 6' to an Uglystik 7'. The tiny bit of extra leverage will easily translate into several extra feet of castability and as you already know Uglystiks are cheap, quality and virtually indestructible.
The braid makes hook sets at long cast lengths more effective; it’s a great plunking setup with the heavy weights needed to get out on that gradual drop off.
Such a blast there!
Looks like great fishing and a lot of fun!

Jones Bay on Lake Roosevelt is one of my favorite park and camp locations in Washington
if u don't mind asking where is this spot thinking about going this weekend with my kid
Don't mind as there is a lot of places on Roosevelt. This was at Hanson Harbor
@WitteOnTheWater ok thanks for the info
When does the season end for trout there?
It is year round on Lake Roosevelt
Hatcheries don't clip all their fish. It's more probable that it's an unclipped hatchery fish.
Dude I'm going there in about an hour wish me luck fam
@donovanm.4389 good luck! Get those bows!
@WitteOnTheWater caught a monster rainbow today guys def my pb 4.8lbs 23 inches
RV camping close by?
Town of Wilbur has some options. Keller Ferry also has some RV hookups
Wow🤍🤍🤍🤍🧡🧡🤍
Too involved with the gear I would just use 6 lb test and forget the braided line you can cast a lot further without it
Whatever works best for you. You can certainly do that those bows ain't too complicated.
Stupid comment let them do what they need to do it’s obvious working because they’re catching a lot
