Moses Lake Fall Yellow Perch Fishing

Diamond Lake Perch Fishing September 2023
Awesome job on that big brown!! Was this recently? Have you tried flyfishing there yet?
Thanks! 1st week of December 2024. Have not tried Flyfishing Rock Lake yet. Just jigging and trolling
Those manini are scared of you cause they think you are a big ulua trying to eat them.
Hook removal if the bait is swallowed: is the leader just snipped and wild fish swim away hopefully not injured?
Beautiful fish! FIsh on and tight lines!
The music video caught me totally off gaurd🤣🤣🤣
New trout video on the water! It's a good Friday in America.
Dude I'm going there in about an hour wish me luck fam
@donovanm.4389 good luck! Get those bows!
@WitteOnTheWater caught a monster rainbow today guys def my pb 4.8lbs 23 inches
Hatcheries don't clip all their fish. It's more probable that it's an unclipped hatchery fish.
Catch and release walleye ?
@@pierrehenneguez6648 nope. Turn em into fish tacos
@WitteOnTheWater just bass catch and release ?
Yep I usually release Bass
Lake Washington can have some great perch fishing in early winter. Have you ever fished it? It’s got some biig school of perch.
I have not fished Lake Washington for Perch but one day I will check it out
Is this just for fishing or eating?
I let these trout go but you can keep 3 per day with only 1 over 18 inches from June to March each year. April and May are catch and release only
Badass man!
Congrats on the anniversary and success! Keep em coming!
🎣
If you are not subscribed to this guy, what are you even doing?
Do you fish shallow or deep for those brookies?
4 to 6 feet generally. Up to 15 ft.
Gotcha. I’ve watched a fly fishing video and they were fishing like like 30 to 40 feet of water but catching the fish closer to the bottom.
I’ll be fishing there for the first time this spring so it’s good to know there’s some in the shallows too. 👍
I was literally just telling my wife I wanted to head up and do some plunking for rainbows, great timing! One thing I would mention is that all fish caught using bait count towards the daily limit, even if released. I got a nice lecture one afternoon about this haha. I hope to see more of your content.
Killing it man, good stuff!
Good fishing 🎣, did a little crappie and perch fishing a few weeks ago as well! Tasted great
Thanks for the video! Since my channel I do trout I love watching other peoples channel catching different species! When I catch a different species it's usually on accident while targeting trout! lol! Fish on and tight lines!
Perch fear this man!
if u don't mind asking where is this spot thinking about going this weekend with my kid
Don't mind as there is a lot of places on Roosevelt. This was at Hanson Harbor
@WitteOnTheWater ok thanks for the info
Nice video 👌👏
Hello, I'm a new sub. Also new to North Idaho, I can't wait to do some fishing. I've got some friends here in Hayden nursing me back to health. After a bad car accident 6 months ago near Seattle put me in a wheelchair. I'm slowly getting there , and should be out fishing by this summer. I really want to go after some crawfish
@darrellgunderman dang buddy I can't imagine how rough that is. Being away from the water would be tough. Luckily if you're in Hayden North Idaho has lots of great fishing. Hayden Lake itself, Twin Lakes, Fernan Lake, CdA. If you want Crawdads the Pend Oreille River and Lake Pend Oreille has a population of monster Crawdads. Take it easy. Thanks for the Sub.
Too involved with the gear I would just use 6 lb test and forget the braided line you can cast a lot further without it
Whatever works best for you. You can certainly do that those bows ain't too complicated.
Stupid comment let them do what they need to do it’s obvious working because they’re catching a lot
The braid makes hook sets at long cast lengths more effective; it’s a great plunking setup with the heavy weights needed to get out on that gradual drop off.
Beautiful Westies! Great video, awesome underwater shots, and amazing scenery.
Nice fish!
Thanks!
I’m thinking of fishing that lake for the 1st time this spring. When you’re fishing in deeper water are you letting your gear sink down to fish or finding them suspended. Tight lines and great video. 👍
@raymonddoerr2523 thanks! These fish are usually suspended but it depends on depth in Spring. Near shore in depths of less than 30 feet they tend to be close to the bottom. So I let my gear hit bottom and either focus on the bottom or work it up through the water column. I've caught them as deep as 70 feet and it seems they are suspended as you go deeper. Focus on the shoreline and different depths out to 50 feet. You'll get em :)
Sounds good, I planned to do most of my fishing from the shoreline with a spinner so it sounds like that’s where I need to be. Thank you, best of luck with the rest of your fishing this year.
I’ve read the lake is pretty big, any recommendation on which side to fish?
There's 3 access points for the shore bound angler on that lake. 1) Mission Bay accessed by driving past the old Sherman Pascal School. It's a good size bay I'd focus on the west shore of that bay and rocks. 2) the Northwest corner of the lake called Nicholson or Beer can beach all 3 sides of that bay are good. 3) Southwest side called Cowpie beach accessible of a little dirt road. The west shore here is good although can be prone to the wind. So you got options depending how much driving you want to do.
Thought it is unlawful to exit boat to access land.
@Ken-x9w as I understand the rules booklet, there is a map showing a portion of the shoreline that is accessible only to tribal members at the south end of the lake. Shoreline access points for non tribal members are also denoted on the same map. In this video we launched on cowpie beach (kinda rough even for a small boat) the shore fishing was on the west shore about 1/4 mile north of cow pie beach. I will contact a Colville Biologist to get clarification on the legality of this.
You are mishandling fish to be released.
@2aruncus pretty vague. If I am doing something wrong without realizing it I'd like to know.
@@WitteOnTheWater taking them out of the water and laying them on a scale is mis handling they should stay in the net and just remove the hook.. if you going to pick them up for photo do it very quickly.
I gotta get you down to the lower river next year so I can "Dong" you with a 16oz cannonball😛

What launch did you use? Water been low lately! Im wondering about bank fishing along the dam

Wow that's the craziest video ever that's my flasher and fish i got Broke off running a clip on weight up my line at forty feet i run 35 pnd orange addicted braid should've been a pink and silver smiley blade with nmbr 2 hooks and it took a year to find that flasher my brother in-law brought it up from Seattle only two left on the shelf.. That's freaking crazy man..i seen him jump swing up river when he broke me off forty feet from the boat. Was a heart wrencher..
@nolebrady8256 would you like your flasher back? If you send me your mailing address via email (bryant.witte@gmail.com) I will happily mail you your flasher beads, and smile blade.
@@WitteOnTheWater no my friend use it me and my brother are in the process off making a new dodger to put on the market.. We found 0.3 mph is r key going up 1.3 going down in August
Great time! They close the entrance last day of sept. Just curious howd you reached here ? Was it an alternate route from the main parking lot
@OLC_Fishing hey there! Yes, gates are closed for vehicle access the end of September. You can still park at the gate and walk the main road. I walked in from the South Gate near the Southwest corner of the Evergreen Reservoir. Walked the road and took the trail that drops into the East end of Dusty Lake from near Burke Lake.
Id love to try this out soon! Is bank access good by any chance? Ill have to check out the permits needed
Awesome video. Seems overpopulated. It’d probably be a better fishery if some people took some cooler loads of those small fish home. As tedious as they would be to clean.
Nice snappers!
We have been setting floats for kitty's so fun
The red on that trout was absolutely beautiful! Would love to see some trout catch and cooks! Good job!
