Thank you so much for taking the time to teach AutoCAD to your audience. Your lessons have been invaluable to me, and I am grateful for the knowledge and skills you have shared. Your dedication to helping others learn and improve is truly appreciated, and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from you. Keep up the great work!
This is a great refresher for season CAD Drafters like my self. Keep up the great work Brandon! What other CAD programs would you recommend for AutoCAD alternatives for freelancers in a budget? Thanks
Thanks for watching, glad you liked it! For a 2D CAD alternative, I've been liking DraftSight, I've done a few videos on it here, but it's quite a bit cheaper than AutoCAD and has many of the same features and a similar feel. DraftSight Videos: th-cam.com/video/URvfqv1M9wo/w-d-xo.html For 3D CAD, I just posted a video about Onshape and I've really been liking it for any 3D modeling type work, there's a free version for Hobbyist and it's browser-base so hardware doesn't matter nearly as much! I'll be posting more in it in the next few weeks as well. Onshape Video: th-cam.com/video/oNI-gMyXPq4/w-d-xo.html
I've also heard one can change the "override" dims by replacing the manually entered text with a double brackets , ie, "". That would reinstate the "dynamic" dimension value.
you might have covered this in a video already, but how in the world can you edit dimensions without using "stretch". i dont' want to add or subtract from existing. im looking to be able to just type in dimensions of a line or square, etc. i've watched about a dozen videos so far and no1 has gone over this basic change.

Well this old dog just learned a new trick. In 30 years of CAD, I never knew that CTRL-1 opens my Properties window. Thanks Brandon!
Not a problem, glad you liked it and learned a new trick!
Thanks for watching and the comment!
Cheers
Great tips Brandon. I often go into the properties palette for editing, but double clicking on the dim will speed up the process. Thanks
excellent! Thank you very much. Exactly what I was looking for!
Awesome, glad it help and was what you needed!
Cheers
