    Nice video! I loved this series and watched it entirely up till this point. I also copied your design and took helpful tips which resulted in me getting 92% traffic flow with a populations of 68,000

      Wow, that's awesome karan! I'm glad you've liked the series so far. That traffic flow is really impressive ... I'm hovering around 85%. I'm hoping to improve it a little bit with public transit. Welcome to the channel! :)

    I love adding in pedestrian bridges and paths. I also use node controller to take out crosswalks on busy intersections to shift pedestrians to the bridges.

    • @jester.Gaming
      @jester.Gaming  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I like that! I think the pedestrians crossing the crosswalks takes away from the amount of time the vehicles have to go through the intersection ... although I do see cars clip through the pedestrians often! Thanks for checking out the video and welcome to the channel Brent!

      Hay Aaron! I think we've got two huge oil patches ... I'll be only going after one though. Unfortunately they are finite and I'll eventually run out so we'll have to import everything but until then we'll take advantage of it!

      Hey JAYPE, that's a great question! I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do with them ... I haven't bought the packs yet and I might not until they go on sale. The trains one looks more interesting than the bridge one though. Have you purchased them? What do you think?

      @@jester.Gaming yeah I’ve bought it, it cost me £5 (as I’m English) but it won’t be much more for you, the train stations are definitely the best of the lot, they add a new vibe to the city instead of generic ones

  • @thatphantomboy

    i really like the idea of having all industries in Industries DLC. then add specialization industry district on top and have a little bit of industry area in each section and then a generic industry by itself. I always ran into traffic issues specially when i put cargo train station. Just saying. plus i would love to see custom interchange in your city hopefully you would do that one day.

    • @NJHProductions512
      @NJHProductions512 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yeah, the big cloverleaf interchanges look out of place right next to a down town area like that, I feel like a more compact stack interchange would fit that area more, and then maybe a smaller, elevated custom cloverleaf

    • @jester.Gaming
      @jester.Gaming  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's the plan eventually PhantomBoy! I'd like to try and have the city self sustaining as much as possible but I know it won't be quite possible. It's not necessary but I think it would be a bit challenging to have all the industries working together! I have two custom interchange videos at the moment ... episode 7 and 11 - I'll probably have more in the future!

    • @jester.Gaming
      @jester.Gaming  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That sounds complicated! I would like to try out some other interchanges in the future and get rid of the cloverleaf ones - or maybe have modified cloverleaf interchanges at least. It takes me a little while to figure out how to make those but maybe for a future episode!

    • @thatphantomboy
      @thatphantomboy 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jester.Gaming glad to hear that. I know its a challenge to have all industry working together but its worth a try. You can replace one of the cloverleaf or put another one but not a cloverleaf or you can replace both. It's upto you but i really like a few custom interchanges in different part of city. It looks really nice when decorated. Usually i put custom parks around interchanges and looks really nice.

      @@jester.Gaming i have one more suggestion. If you have enough time make short videos (upto 45 min max) and upload them on different days (or same day) instead of one long video. Previous video was 1 and half hour and most of people don't really like watching such long videos but often prefers short videos. And if you don't have time for editing or recording two or three videos one long video is fine too. But it is just a suggestion. You do what works best for you. I hope you don't mind it.😊

    Hello jester.Gaming, wanted to say - great content, great tips, and beautiful city. thank you. Small advise, minimize the use of word "actually", you said it 20 times in 198 sec. beginning of this the episode. Once noticed it is very distracting. Best of luck to you

    • @jester.Gaming
      @jester.Gaming  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey John, thanks for the feedback! I took a look and the pedestrian pathway over the 6 lane arterial lane is as low as I can make it. However, the one above the 4 lane collector road can be shortened a little bit - I thought it was as low as it could go but it looks like I can just go a little bit lower than what I put in.

    Why you built two garbage facilites? you could've just raised the garbage budget to max then you'd probably been fine.

    • @jester.Gaming
      @jester.Gaming  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Scrub - increasing the budget does eventually have diminishing returns so it isn't worth it to increase to the maximum. The little increase in garbage processing I may have gotten probably wouldn't have been enough anyway. It's easier just to build another :)

    What if you use the "Ban High Rise Buildings" policy instead of making buildings Historical?

    • @jester.Gaming
      @jester.Gaming  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      hey tyroneb97, great question! The "Ban High Rise Buildings" policy will restrict the buildings from reaching their highest levels. I believe they will only reach level 3 of 5. Historical buildings allow the buildings to level to 5 but retain their lower level appearance. Lower level residential buildings won't be able to hold as many residences. I might try it out in another section of the city to see how it works. It can be a bit tedious with the historical buildings :)
