Hey exotic.plays, unfortunately I have not played the Xbox version of the game. From what I can tell there is no icon at the bottom of the screen similar to PC. Instead it's in a different submenu ... maybe pressing Y? It's hard for me to tell exactly

That's an interesting approach! They were probably complaining because your industry zone wasn't big enough enough support the number of commercial buildings you had. Is your industry now complaining about not enough buyers for products?

@@jester.Gaming thats the trick: get rid of industry too! ive got the raw material industries but the rest ive mostly done away with. no complaints since the zoned industries cover the industry bar technically and so do offices weirdly. commercial demand is high but no drawbacks from it. ive got little bits of commercial here and there but if they go under or abandoned i rezone it for offices.

Thanks liquid_lakes! I played a little bit of CS2 when it first came out but the performance and gameplay still needed a bit of work before I could make any videos. The economy 2.0 and detailing patch that just came out has been fairly well received so I will probably be making some videos before too long. I'll have to learn the game a bit myself though! I haven't played any of the others you mentioned, sorry!

Hey Narsty, welcome to Cities Skylines! My best advice is once you have the start of your city established is to take things slow and expand your city bit by bit ... don't let the demand meters force you to build! You could also make a save of your city before trying out a big project and if it doesn't work out you can easily go back to the previous save :)

@@caseyferran2144 hey Casey! Anything that isn't a road is likely a walking path (not exactly sure what you are referring to). Your citizens will choose walking over driving to their destination if there is a path is available and it isn't too far of a distance. Having some extra pathways to connect adjacent roads together helps alleviate traffic a little bit since people will choose to walk!

Sounds delicious Aaron! Thanks for checking out another video too! We are getting close to what I might consider the city being finished ... there are a couple areas I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to do with but I think it's time to move on once those are filled in. I could continuously go back and redo areas all over the city but I think something new is in order! I'll probably do a recap episode either showing parts of the city off or some of the stats related to the series on TH-cam (number of views, etc.).

Please don't fast forward with the progress you made. I don't mind zipping through you planting trees, but at the end with your farms and fishing.

Thanks for the feedback Kitty*! I think I could have shown that a bit better in retrospect. I did film a segment but as I said it in the video there was a lot of back and forth between the road tool and farming industry, a lot of me saying "road here, farm, road ...". I didn't make any changes to thr fishing industry!

@@jester.Gaming Was saying that me as in the viewer doesn't like when Fast Forward to finished product is all. It's all good Boss. Just trying to follow along with my city is all. Don't ask me why my name comes up the way it does..lol This platform has been downright terrible as of late.

@@120420 How do you feel about time lapses in general? Not such a big deal for planting trees as you mentioned but what about something like roadwork? Not exactly skipping to the end but more like fast forwarding?

It's tough to tell with it sped up but I slowed down a little bit here and there during each segment ... it was about 20 minutes total to get everything planted!

Thanks Aaron, I appreciate the support! I'm glad you've been enjoying the videos. I'm getting back into the swing of things hoping to release much more regularly ... I'm aiming to alternate between longer city building episodes and some shorter tutorials each week depending on my work schedule.

Definitely! I've done one map for the entire series so far ... and with the break that I had I missed a lot of content - financial districts, pedestrian areas, and just random quality of life updates. I still have lots to explore!

Thanks StezMan! I fully intend to make some CS2 tutorials and videos. I'm waiting for a little bit more to see what kind of improvements these next few patches bring. Economy 2.0 comes out on Monday so we'll see how that goes!

I had really high hopes when it came out but day 1 performance issues stopped me from investing too much time into it

That's a good idea! After the specialized zoned industry and industries DLC I was thinking about a video about the supply chain in CS. No buyers/good to sell, etc. would tie in nicely to that.

Hey jeproxjr25! I had originally intended to play CS2 as soon as it came out but performance issues held me back to the point where I couldn't even play the game. My GPU was at 100C idle on the main menu. I've been keeping an eye on how things have been going and while performance has improved the simulation and gameplay needs a little work I think. I'm hoping over the next while that all gets sorted out. There is also lots of CS1 I have yet to experience (snow maps, pedestrian areas, financial districts, etc.) so I will be able to keep myself busy while I wait!

Hey twizz, as far as I know you only need to shoot the light that's on. As far as I know the only other requirement is that it needs to be done at night.

Welcome to Cities Skylines Andre! You can follow similar principals for public transportation as the road network. Transportation types with high capacity are like your arterial roads, moderate capacity are your collectors, and low capacity are your residential roads. Your high capacity would transport more people over a greater distance with fewer stops, moderate capacity over moderate distances with more stops, and low capacity over shorter distances with the most stops. You can try and set your routes up so that the low capacity will funnel citizens to the moderate capacity and then to the high capacity. I hope this makes sense, good luck!
