How do you fix sore wrist when you start doing pushups? I’m out of shape and this is a problem because I want to do pushups and dips but my wrist hurt.
@@KATASTROPHE69SIf your wrists are too weak to start then just do push ups on your knuckles so it doesn't engage any wrist movement. The better you get with your form the less it will hurt your wrists.

It's better to always warm up with them anyway, and they will help you long term. Also you can use push up handles, or just put a towel underneath your palm to decrease the angle of your wrist
Deadhangs (hanging from a bar) is very underrated. Hanging for 60 seconds 3-5 times every day/every other day, and adding weight when bodyweight becomes easy. That will for sure make your grip strength skyrocket + improve shoulder mobility, Health, and decompress the spine! Very underrated exercise, I almost never see anyone do these
"squat not sit" has the same effect for all but grip. back trouble (Thank fully) born of doing everything a man over five eight can do wrong for the lumbar region for decades took i literally off my feet for a few years just as i was turning forty. learned to use a computer finally and binned the 'health services' here and their state funded physios (i saw roughly five if memory serves) allowing i to self diagnose which turned out to be the first thing they should have been looking for and easily tested. i had developed annular pelvic tilt causing i to be nearly completely non ambulatory for a number of years. i could stand roughly three out of every four weeks broken into clusters throughout the month. before finding the problem i had looked for exercises which could help and came across "the five tibetan rites" which is how i recovered, for anyone that may be of interest to, once i knew the problem the rites made perfect sense for how effective they were being whilst i was in agony. all the things over the years i used to do too ease it which had one by one stopped working and the rites were almost instant reset! but yh that's how i know "squat not sit" are words worthy of knowing, birthing Mothers can also testify.

@@sksks3163 for 5 months ur forearms won't rlly grow much regardless unless u give them isolation work. they will naturally grow to very big sizes once u can pull heavy weights without straps, but if u are like the guy you were just talking to pulling heavy but his forearms won't budge, then yea you'll need some isolation work for extra stimulus lol

True. But you can't do much bouldering if your grip stregth is weak so it a hige waste of time to go boulding at a climbing gym and then go home 10 minutes later. Its better to hit the weights at home consistently then go bouldering when you can actually climb.

Now, for those looking to make it even harder - hold a barbell on one of your sides meanwhile using your free hand to hold onto a power rack. This will also enforce your lateral abs to stabilize frontal plane. Ed Coan recommends this for grip and core stability for deadlifts.
I use a push broom. I grab the handle with one hand and slide towards the end until I find a spot where I can't hold it in place for longer than 10 seconds. Then I work towards that and then I'll go for 30 seconds. Until I can hold it for a full minute. Move down a few inches and start again.

I did these for years, not only do they improve grip but they also help your deadlift max. If your grip is comfortable so is the rest of you and working up to max one arm deadlifts keeps the load lighter on your body aka easier to recover from but still strengthens you

Sometimes we only want both strength and some aesthetics for a regular person. Just pure strength is not mandatory to live a regular life with a most probable office job or not that strength demanding, neither needs to look like a model or any like that. Just a touch of aesthetics to be confident about your looks and enough strength to carry along any situation.

Also do some zottman curls, it helps biceps and forearms at the same time, I always end arm day with zottman curls
