    Star Citizen aims to span multiple video game types by combining space trading, space combat and shooter elements, in a first person massively multiplayer online game. In October of 2012, Chris Roberts, the creator of the wing commander series, launched a Kickstarter Campaign whose goal was to create the seamless persistent universe and the narrative player experience squadron 42. The project continues to break Guinness Records through incredible community support. Despite the technical hurdles, CIG demonstrates tangible results and continues to prove to its backers that the impossible is becoming possible. The scope and scale of the game increased as more funding was pledged, which became known as feature creep. Most accept that delays, although frustrating, do result in obvious progress. The player backers are given early access to the current live version of the game code, to test and offer feedback. The player experience changes from enjoyable to frustrating and back again, sometimes day by day. Star Citizen can be enjoyed, and take a break when it suits you. Numerous content creators cover the ongoing situation to keep you informed and up to day. As an early backer and tester, you need to be ready for its quirks but you can also witness the game evolve.
    I am a FAN of the game and not affiliated with CIG. My opinions are my own. Contact me for business opportunities, corrections or retractions. Operated by Noobifier Media INC. CDN-120508161

    Very nice video and overview of the mechanics. On point discription of the adjustment process. It should be mentioned that it is usefull to download the Calibration software and recalibrate after center stopp adjustment! I know some will complain that you have to adjust stuff and have to tinker with it. But as a mechanic i appriciate the fact that you can adjust stuff! :-)
    Ok i understand every manufacturer has to cut down on costs but i would have loved to see the same milled gimble mechanics as in the demo units they show on their web site or in the demo vids. I guess the cast aluminum of the final product will serve the purpose as well! But it is a little bit misleading. I think every manufacutrer these days has a good quality at least with ther 2nd or 3rd gen version. I was looking at the VPC MongoosT-50CM2 Base and jumped only onto the WinWing due to the price. VKB did not make the cut due to the fact that i can not use my TM sticks i own.

  • @belatar
    @belatar 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    very good and detailed instructions. the design of the stick raised two questions for me tho: what is the benefit for this seemingly overcomplex design of the stick?
    also, the placing of the circuit board above the screw holes basically makes me dependent on custom screws per your recommendation which is not good design. does the manufacturer intend to change this?

      I was upset with many issues with the design and construction. Internally it looked a bit like a high school science fair project. The cam design is complicated and problematic. I asked them to fix the issues before I would promote their product, they never answer my emails about if the feedback was received. So, it looks like Never.

    Looks like a great stick but I am concerned about the number of buttons on the main stick. Heck I've bound almost all the buttons on my CH set up and it has less.
    Throttle looks great too but I do wonder how the spread out buttons would work in VR and the number of analog axis/encoder it has. I'm worried the gear might be too focused on one single plane and fall short for general purpose usage compared to other offerings although I'm hopeful to be proven wrong.

    • @wipje41
      @wipje41 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It seems to be quite versatile, the grip also comes with a twist adapter for space games. And it seems easier to control in VR than lets say a VKB MCG.

    • @NOOBIFIER1337
      @NOOBIFIER1337  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes VKB and VCP are easy to work on and do not need such calibration. I actually do not understand why they made this as two cams. It has a noticeable bump/click passing left to right.

      @@arren_ru I'm running a VKB MCG with GF2 base. You can see why I would want to go VKB. If I switch bases I will need to spend more. I like the universality of the Virpil Constellation. And the mouse wheel at the top of the grip is the right idea. On the other hand, I like the VKB dry clutch so you can set your throttle.
      What I want is a dry clutch and a wheel.

      spreedom2 overall it’s an interesting piece of gear. I don’t fully understand the way they did cams. It would seem to create a thump when crossing from positive to negative axis. The throttle NEEDS a proper mount. Search for Monstertech please if you decide to get this.

      @Spelljammer1 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NOOBIFIER1337 thanks, agreed it's interesting and we needed something new to stir up the VKB-Virpil game. (Although everything is much better than the Thrustmaster monopoly).
      Not all that keen on their throttle, don't worry but the stick looks interesting. Hopefully you can include it in the stick showdown for 2020 if you get to make one! As well as the NXT which seems to steal the show this year, considering the price.

      @@NOOBIFIER1337 Just received my full hotas yesterday. Very impressed with the quality. The mounts may not be 8040 profile aluminum but they work extremely well and are rock solid. Btw, the Libra mount adjustment clamp has been removed and replaced with slots - like the throttle mount. Throttle grips now have spacers and all sharp edges have been removed.
