i have the saitek combat ones, what a piece of crap. had the same as you a couple of years ago, did not last long before they broke. I will order these when they are in stock again.
Been flying almost 10 years and used many different Joystick&Pedals and I have to say, This is the BEST rudder pedal I've ever experienced. All of Baur's equipment is top-notch. I highly recommend VPC ACE Rudder pedals for those who looking for best sim equipments

Sorry for 1 year reply but i am playing Star Citizen and considering buying the very basic Virpil WarBRD rudder pedals, just having throttle control on them. Or am i missing out and i should go for the ACE version? Not sure if i need the toe control and the swinging.
@@Avean BRD is the top notch and you won't be disappointed. One thing to note is the BRD rudder require mounting solution to be best used as suction cups at the bottom slide when you push them.
Great video! I just received mine last week, which I pre-ordered a few months ago. I love the quality and especially love the fact that it has different springs for different levels of stiffness.
Just found your Chanel. Good review overall, but what I did missed most is using those inside a Sim. A video of you flying a Helo on DCS, with the control layer superimposed on DCS (Ctrl+Enter) and a video feed of your feet. All sync. Would be perfect to see how those behave on action. How smoth is the center, precision, hardness of pressure of toe brakes, etc. Maybe would be a good idea to add for a comparison video of Virpil and MFG rudders

Same. waiting on dual Kosmosima's and some pedals until the game releases. Likely because there will be better equipment out by then.

Just got my Virpil dual stick Alphas based on his reviews, unfortunately I got them before the Primes came out BUT the price for the Alphas was a lot more affordable so other than the Primes being solid metal I think the Alphas was the right choice budget wise for me, looking forward to adding the pedal kit soon for my new PC setup for SC and perhaps other sims since I recently started playing these types of games and I am able to afford better controllers for my games now. Super thanks for the reviews.

Nice design. I could see no waste of motion from the camera perspectives. I wish I had these in my helicopter lol.
If i was going to use pedals I'd still favor the VKB T-rudder pedals because they press straight down which means i can use them with my wheeled herman miller aeron chair without rolling around. It's got less axis but it's more comfortable than pushing forward
man if youve got a chair that rolls around then just dont use pedals... infact a joystick combo i would have thought would be inadvisable as well
Hello there, thanks for the review. You mentioned the MFG Crosswind, which I am considering, but you didn't say which of the 3 pedals you mentioned you would rate king of the hill. In regards to precision, and overall satisfaction.

Do these pedals swing straight forward-back like VirtualFly’s Ruddo+, or do they arc slightly like the Crosswinds? I can’t seem to find a clear video of the movement from above!

I just got mine yesterday and they really are quite incredible. Virpil didn't change our the electronic connection in the production unit to be able to slave them into the base via the Aux cable. A bit of a disappointment but a very minor one at best. These things are built like a tank and I can't wait to get them permanently mounted into my Simrig. Aside from the Aux connection the only thing I might have liked is if they were just a bit narrower but again this is a very minor preference issue.
Now they just need to get the new CM2 throttle, Alpha stick and controller boxes out to finish my setup.
The AUX cable will plug into the square USB port when the functionality is ready.
I hope they'll ship them soon. I'm so looking forward... :)
Those pedals are gorgeous. I'm very happy with my MFG Crosswind setup, which takes a *very* different approach, but VIrpil does great stuff (I have the VPC MongoosT-50CM2 Base, which I'm currently using with the TMW and F/A-18 grips). I would be interested in seeing a detailed shootout between the two brands. My biggest beef with the Crosswinds is that even at the lightest setting, the toebrakes need a lot of force. I like a very light touch (esp. for heli stuff).
You should be able to dial back the resistance by adjusting the springs. The MFG are great and they will serve you a long time

AutoXtacy quality is as good for each, they are not the same material. I see VirPil having much better foot system and long term use. They both use similar sensors, the cam arrangement on Virpil is more adjustable and can give more torque if required
They can be trusted. Some of their early stuff was good but not refined. They have been making sticks for 3 years.

Thank you very much for the great reviews! I have a cheap Saitek setup right now and the slop (dead space) in the Yoke and pedals drives me nuts. So I am very much planning on a precision setup for a SC H.O.T.A.Y setup for flight. You make me much more informed of my options.

When you remove the base to attach to your sim rig, there needs to be a plate closing off the electronics to prevent unwanted dust or pests getting in there as the board looks like it is exposed.
CriMiNaL__ there is a plate sir, it was just off so you could see the circuit

Same for me as i'm planning on potentially buying it. Really wanted that Z axis that comes with it even though it lacks the buttons and hats switches from the Mongoos, Z axis to me is more important than more buttons.
@@1818TC I'm also very curious about the thumbwheel axis, it would be nice to map the vertical strafe there to have 4 axis control on the right joystick, since I generally don't need a lot of precision during combat with that axis (i just put it max more than often) but when I'm landing, a little precision is nice! If this is viable, the stick on the left just need 2 axis

Unfortunately, knowing what hardware best suits me really requires me to try it, both because of the way I learn and because of my physical build, plus I don't have the monetary resources to buy-&-try all the gear I think _might_work well for me. In the end, it means I'm most likely relegated to remaining a M&KB player, which is a shame because I really want Star Citizen to be as immersive as I can possibly make it.
Question. What is less wearing you legs moving feet up and down for VKB pedals, or pushing back and forward for Virpil? I have VKB gunfighter, so I am leaning towards VKB to keep setup simpler.

I have plans to buy Virpil warbird pedals. But I think I see those pedals have wobbly motion on the center? I wonder if that can be fixed with other cams or stronger spring...

That is a robust looking piece of equipment. It appears to be much more so than the other two manufacturers you highlighted.

how is the resistance to break out of the zero position? is it just one continuous curve where it is difficult to find the middle? That was one of the reasons I ditched my pedal setup as I kept thinking about placing my feet right rather than enjoying the game.
neonspark there are three cams, you should be able to tune to your preferences.
Quick question I don’t have space for the full rig setup you have but I have the ace rudder pedal but on tile floor it slides is there a way to prevent it from sliding?
You can mount them to a hunk of particle board that extends below you, or fab some sort of frame that you can bolt to the wall or desk behind the pedals.

Hi. I have a problem with my right foot, I can't use it for long (no more than 10-15 minutes), so I reverted to a stick with a twist handle for rudder. Can you try to use these with just the left foot? Do they work properly?

Trying to decide whether to buy these or the crosswinds. Assuming rudder pedals was going to be your first piece of high quality flight sim gear, and having tried them both, which would you buy?
All of my other gear is Virpil so, I would want to have all gear work on the same software etc... metal is also a bonus

Yes, everything will work together. These don’t need drivers to operate. They just appear and work

For realism, metal construction. If you plan to play with socks, MFG might be more comfortable. They are both good. Like choosing between Lambo and Ferrari... you know, they are both premium sports cars...

This (Virpil) has it. MFG does not, T Rudder does not.

I don’t use pedals in SC, I use this in DCS and Star Wars. But I suppose you can use them to what ever you wish to bind them to

Hi Noobifier, how accurate are you finding the toe brakes? I use my current toe brakes to yaw aim, just curious as to how much better these would be, thanks.
Clive von Metzinger the sensor is totally linear and accurate. The only thing I found difficult was my own foot not being like a hand. We spend our entire life being precise with our hand that it’s frustrating when we try to do something needing precision with our foot. It just takes time, but the gear is ready if you can work on it and practice .
@@NOOBIFIER1337 yeah, its taking quite alot to train my feet to aim instead of my hands. It's specifically why I'm using toe brakes as I find it more precise than the standard yaw motion, thanks for the feedback!

It is adjustable so I can not simply answer that. When seated you can adjust it such that your legs are comfortable in a neutral state.

these are probably great pedals, but I can´t get why are they as expensive as TM´s TPR, which look much more solid
iv just got these and they feel great, however id like to rotate the pedals out a bit because my feet splay out alot, is this doable?

They are significant. Almost none is aluminum. At least 7kg

The pedals look really far apart... can they be moved closer together?
zonti 40cm, and no, the metal arms can not be modified to reduce the width.
I just got ace2 pedals. I can't adjust the width. but warBRD pedals seem that it is adjustable.
They are all the same pedals with different pedal kits. They don’t really move closer

See now my only issue with these peddles is that they are so wide..
I like the CH pro’s because they have a smaller footprint, But I also can’t stand the plastic wheels that start to grind when they get dirty..
these cam systems are awesome and I like how the bits that make it work are exposed

I hear ya... that’s more of a natural footing when you’re seated.. I was taking a look at the 787 in our hanger and it’s roughly the same :).

The base is about $250 which will then need some modules to customize to the way you need it.
