In today's video we are visiting luxury fabric shop, Shaukat Fabrics in London. What a treat this was! Stocked floor to ceiling full of Liberty Prints, Storrs London Cotton and Designer silk fabrics this shop is an absolute must visit if you're ever fabric shopping in London.
Help me decide what to make with my new Liberty fabric...

Gorgeous fabric. I love option 3 but I think option 2 would show off the print more effectively. You’d look stunning in any of them 😊
I would definitely go for your option 2 choice - mainly because of the way it would effortlessly drape around your body show casing the beautiful silk fabric not forgetting the wearer too of course !! good luck look forward to seeing it made up -

I love option 2 & 3, but I think 2 would suit the fabric best.
Option 2 "seams" (lol) the best for the pattern in the fabric......Option#3 with the large dots may come off funny around the breast area imo....I love Option#1 but the pattern in the fabric will be lost......Go with Option 2!!
I love number 3 but for that fabric, number 2... That one shows off the amazing fabric! It is so gorgeous! I think I saw something I may 'treat my self'
Thanks for posting that. I’ve bought from Shaukat Fabrics online, but never visited. If you want to see amazingly beautiful luxury fabrics, I suggest you visit Joel and Sons in Church Street, NW8. When I lived in London I spent far too much money in there, although it had the advantage of making my frequent Liberty purchases seem quite reasonable 😂. That gingham dress looks lovely on you, think I’ll have to make one 😊.
Me & my wife Patricia will be visiting from South Carolina in May, staying at The Rembrandt . She discovered that this fabric store is a 15 min walk from our hotel. She can't wait to visit .. thanks 😊

Oh my goodness! That place looks like heaven on earth 😍 How did you manage only to buy one piece of fabric!? My husband saw me gushing over this video and suggested we go there - he doesn't realise what he's offering! 😂
I think that to show off that amazing print to the max you need something with minimal style lines, so the bias cut option would do it the most justice. Good luck cutting into it, I'd need a tranquilliser pill if it were me! Can't wait to see the end result!

Option 2 would look amazing in the pink silk. What a fabulous shop.
Option two, in my opinion. For such a beautiful fabric, simplicity is key. Let the fabric do the talking. Plus with the cowl snuggling your neck, it’ll accentuate how lovely the color is against your complexion.
My favorite is option 2 as it will show the drape and pretty design with fluid lines of the pattern. Love it, and I look forward to seeing it completed. Happy sewing……………..
Option 2 would definitely be my choice! It would be the one to display the beautiful fabric and frame your face in a feminine and classy manner.

Option 1 or 2. I think with option 3 you would have to be very careful with placement of the circles
just like a candy store! i love the fabric you picked and think the cowl top is perfect...you can wear with cardigan in cooler weather and smash it at a fancy cocktail party in a beautiful garden...i just perused the site, if exchange wasnt so brutal id have a length of it too lol...tfs:)

I love all your fabrics but the silk is &%€ beautiful. An idea for the silk fabric could be a woven t shirt that way it could be dressed up or down.

I am so inspired! Will definitely go on the list to visit the next time I'm in London. I have to say that I think the second option IS the obvious winner for showing off the print, but I really want you to do option 3 because that's much more interesting looking. I think you'd still see the print well.

Like option 3 best but would cut up the pattern a lot so my vote, for this fabric, is no 2. X
OMG, I would need another suitcase and a lot of savings… this is my idea of a candy store or a toy store! Adding to my bucket list for when I visit London one day😆. I think all the comments are evenly split between version 2 or 3. Go with the one that calls to you the most. I would choose less cut and seam lines for that gorgeous print.
I think option 2 for that print, but please make option 3 at some point in the future 😊

I do think with the beautiful larger print that a longer top or dress or longer skirt would feature it better than the shorter blouse (option 3). You are so right to feel like you have something special for fabric -- a lovely splurge that will be exciting to wear once you decide on which pattern to sew. Thank you for taking us on this excursion with you! Regarding the pink floral fabric, I would definitely go with the bias-cut top (#2). But it will be lovely in whatever you choose.
Oh wow I would have been so overwhelmed in that fabric store! I loved every inch of it and certainly would have bought some fabric. I love the print you chose. I like both the top cut on the bias but I also like the top from Simplicity. You can’t go wrong with either one of those choices. Looking forward to see which one you decided to go with. 👗🪡🧵🥰
Amazing shop 😍! I think option 2 would put the beauty of the fabric and print on display the best. I like the other options for a simpler/smaller print or plain colour.
I loved number 3. I am not sure how much of the print you would actually lose either. But it looks to be what you could get the most wear from, with jeans, trousers, or a skirt. But I say go with what your heart says is best for you.
The cowl neck top is my favourite to show off this fabric to its best. The couloir next to you face will be illuminating too.
I think the second option would be best as it would show off the fabric best and you would use it the most. However,I was wondering if you could make a skirt out of it as it would fall so beautifully
