Well, the gargoyles from Hunchback did have one good line. "Okay, Quasi, we'll leave you alone." "After all, we're only made out of stone." "We just thought, maybe, you were made of something stronger."
that's part of why they didn't bother me the same way they did to others. They were the worst parts of the film, but only because everything else was handled so well that the gargoyles couldn't compare to the rest of the film. they can be annoying, but they do help move the plot forward, and they do try to help Quasimodo at some points. They were even just a part of Quasi's imagination at first. I just wished they both weren't as obnoxious, and that they stayed just a figment in Quasi's mind.
And you can't forget one line which I have stored in my database of Disney quotes that I use as mottos. "Take it from an old spectator, Quasi; life's not a spectator sport. If watching is all you're going to do, you're going to watch your life go by without you."
Eh, it didn't bother me as much. Maybe I just don't have as high of standards, am able to deal with most things, & don't take things in movies/shows too seriously 😝 lol
The thing about Hei Hei is at least he wasn't an annoying side kick with an annoying voice and catch phrases they can easily print on the screen. I actually think Hei Hei is adorable and loved seeing him on the screen. There's clearly more annoying characters compared to him like Terk, Roseanne Cow, and Chicken Little, but thats just my opinion :)
Anime America Hi nine America. I'm one of your fans and I'm sorry to hear about your channel yesterday. if you see on your channel today I gave a like to two of your old vids.
Anime America THANK YOU! I for one, actually enjoyed Hei Hei's antics and consider him yet another thing to enjoy about the already FANTASTIC movie that is Moana!
Thiti2000: *BUCK WAS THE BEST PARENT IN AN ANIMATED MOVIE* *YOU ARE THE WORST PARENT IN AN ANIMATED MOVIE* *IF YOU HATE THE ALPHA & OMEGA SEQUELS, GO TO HELL YOU USELESS BITCH*
Chicken Little could have been amazing if they made it a horror movie. The main character snaps from the constant abuse and murders the scumlords that make up most of the people in his town.
But I found the ending super satisfying, everyone paid dearly for not believing it, and as a consequence they were attacked by the aliens and pieces of the sky.
Garotão Abobado of course I found that the most satisfying part of the movie And the ending part where Chicken Little had his own movie Thought that was “decent”
Bellwether really should be considered being the worst Disney character, in a "big" Disney movie in such a big role, well at least it's what they want us to believe. She's introduced as a cutesy clumsly assistant in a scene, vanishes for most of the movie other than one or two lines, then reappears at the end with a completely different personality, revealing herself to be the main villain, then she gets arrested. Put all together and that was like, 3 minutes? What was the point of her character? She managed to have less screentime and development than Hans, all for the sake of the "amazing" Villain Twist that Modern Disney loves, and once again giving "us" a warm, out-of-character moment despite the fact no one was watching her. Bellwether is not a character, she's a plot device, a movie as good as Zootopia did not deserve such a trash major "character".
sikisikiamimis To be honest, I love Bellwether as a character, and more of a nice character who should have been an ally, but I do not love her as a plot twist villain because she does not fit the role of that at all, and I don't understand how some idiots can say she is scary and diabolical than all the classic Disney and Pixar villains who have more evil in them than she ever will. Why? Because she gets nothing more than ten lousy minutes after the reveal when the movie is almost over instead of actually giving it more development, screen time, and motivation like they did with King Candy who is the most diabolical of the twist villains that was more built up. And some idiot said her story is over when we don't even know too much about her and I believe she deserved better than that and have someone else be the plot twist villain like Mayor Swinton or anyone, but not her just to make a stupid point we heard about too many time already about not judging a stupid book by its cover or that wolf in sheep's clothing catchphrase. They rushed her and tossed her aside like she was nothing just to keep going with that lame cliché twist villain everyone is already sick of. Bellwether should have been better off as an ally than a plot twist villain, or at least give her more than one reason why she's doing what she did that would reveal her as a tragic villain and not someone interested in money and power that we saw enough already. Her character deserved better than what was given just because a plot demands it.
@@thomashuffman3237 You could say that about a lot of Disney villains in the last five years. And Pixar villains. There's a lot of surprise villains now. Pixar alone has had their last two villains be surprises that, tbh, you could see coming. A genius using mind-control for Incredibles 2 was kind of disappointing, especially since the first movie's villain was pretty much the strongest part of the first movie, and Coco had a fame-hungry faker who's willing to throw anyone under the bus, no matter how close they are, and that was a good one and fit in well, but when you boast about poisoning your best friend in your own movie, that's kind of a big giveaway.
I actually thought Olaf was okay, remember he's a creation of a child's imagination. (Not a big frozen fan, but I think they did alright capturing the slapstick childish comedy of Olaf)
Because of Hei Hei, there’s now a toy in Target of him that if you press a button, it plays Hei Hei’s annoying scream. People just love to press that button on repeat to annoy the whole store.
Numenese you just copied that from one of his videos. it was something he said. it is not a era the internet calls those years by. it was just something he made up. just saying. hope i dont give this guys comment a bad rap because i said something about a comment in a comment.
@@mopbuckets4734 I think it'd be best if you thought for yourself. You wouldn't want to spend the rest of your life being a copy machine. If you're having trouble expressing yourself then try taking baby steps.
The pig could have been a more amazing sidekick than that...that...delicious....meaty......taaaaaasssty.....chicken....hmhmhmhmmbmnhmmnhmnm. *_I have a FRIED CHICKEN obsession_*
Fun fact: Apparently in the original script of Moana, Hei Hei was supposed to be more of a bodyguard character, watching over Moana for Chief Tui in a fashion similar to how Sebastian watched over Ariel for King Triton. However, the writers apparently went overboard and made the character so overly aggressive that they were told to either rewrite the character of Hei Hei or scrap him entirely.
Howdy! I was planning worst anime next but let me know if you have any other suggestions :) A: Worst Anime B: Bad Cartoons that got good C: Worst Superhero Movies D: Best Live Action Kids Shows Extras: E: Worst Cartoon Intros
In a Disney "princess" movie we always expect some "super clever and cute" animal comic relief. I like how Heihei is just a fricking chicken. He is not clever, he is not even especially cute. I like that we have an "animal companion" who is just a chicken. He subverts your typical expectations. And I enjoy this subversion just for the fun of it.
Mars needs moms actually scared me when I was a kid. I litteraly thougth my mom was gonna get kidnapped by the aliens. I got nightmares from it!!!!!!!!
@@blameitonmillie5506 He actually saved her, and when she woke up, she freaked out that she is in Mars. The movie is really bad but I think there is a good lesson to it: _Always appreciate and respect your parents no matter what._
+Rusticabcd Beats me. I think you're the first person in this comment section other than me to point that out. But geez, the amount of triggered Hei Hei fans in the comment section is not even funny. They should know that "I'm entitled to my opinion" is NOT an excuse to be rude.
finally someone brings up the pointless, cliche that is the "comic relief" sidekicks. the only one on this list i actually liked was Gergi i thought he was cute and funny :p
I have heard on Nostalgia Critic that the Gargoyles would've been forgiven if it was in Quasimodo's mind, so adding a part of the movie where those three said that they are in fact, then the movie would have been so much better.
Oh hell yeah! So if there are people that say good thing about Milo in Mars Needs Moms instead fo the other Disney-animated Milos like Milo Murphy and Milo Thatch, I would f'in brawl with them troll-brats.
I just genuinely hate Joy, from Inside Out. During the whole film she was, in my mind, humbling Sadness just because she wanted to feel herself in control. I just hate her, and is one of the motives I thought Inside Out was supposed to be about Sadness and the other emotions, or even Bing Bong trying to get to the control room, idk, but Joy is just a irritating character to me.
It's sad that someone has a different opinion?!*fake laugh to prove you wrong* Also, Joy from Inside Out appears to be the most developed Inside Out character.
Joy did not treat Sadness well until the end, but she learned her lesson. Also she had good intentions. She really thought the girl needed to be happy all the time, much like we encourage people to never be sad when in fact we need sadness too in our lives, otherwise we can't be truly happy. I think that is the lesson Inside Out tries to teach us and Joy's action were a good method for that. We despise Joy when she's mean to Sadness, but maybe we do the same mistakes like Joy sometimes. There is someone who never said to a friend "don't cry, just be happy, everything is fine" when the friend just needed to let those feelings out? At least that's what I get from the character of Joy.
I loved Inside Out, but yeah Joy was a bitch. She seemed like a control freak and literally wanted to brain wash Riley. Most shows would have a control freak who tried to reprogram a childs brain as the *villain* and not the hero.
Weaboo Tom if there is one Milo I like better than the one from Mars Needs Moms, it would have to be one from Atlantis: The Lost Empire. He's smart and he knows how to lead.
I hate Milo. He has a great life AND a great mom, snd what does he do? He makes his mom's life hell and is an annoying fucking brat and tells his mom he wishes he never had a mom because she ASKED, ASKED! him to eat his broccoli.
Hmm... You have interesting opinions. Not all of them I disagree with, but I love the chicken (Hei Hei) from Moana. He's just a bit hilarious. I was so *scared* you would put any of the amazing characters from The Lion King 2 lol
GUMI Megpoid IKR?!?! How would you feel if EVERY one of those a**holes suffered the same fate as the Rebels from the hallway scene in the climax of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (while simultaneously being stuck in a time loop (see Doctor Strange if you don't get it) so they all have to suffer this type of demise again and again)?
GUMI Megpoid In that case, which punishment sounds more satisfying ( in all 3 cases the pr**ks will be put in a time loop (see Doctor Strange for context if necessary) only to suffer the particular death option again and again due to the nature of time loops)? A: Are trapped on Isla Nublar, only to be picked off a few at a time and mauled to death by the Raptor Squad from Jurassic World B: They all have to suffer death by chestburster (from the Alien franchise) C: Are burned alive and to death by a squad of Drago Bludvist's dragons (from How To Train Your Dragon 2)
I personally love the gargoyles from The Hunchback of Notre Dame as, not only did they make me laugh as a kid, but I do think they had a good reason to be in the movie. I like how Quasimodo actually had friends up there in the bell tower. They actually built Quasi's confidence up and helped him believe in himself even when he was feeling his worst. Also, if they weren't in the movie, I'm sure people would have hated how the film had hardly any funny moments.
I hated the chicken in Moana too! I liked the pig a lot more personally, I think it would have been a better comic relief character as opposed to that blasted chicken.
People say B.E.N. from Treasure Planet is one of the most annoying characters made by Disney. I have no idea how he is annoying, I actually kind of like him being the comic relief character of the film.
People also say that, because he's so irritable, he shouldn't exist in the movie and for others, he ruins the whole film for them. What they don't realize that he's actually important to the movie's third act and he's based on the character from the original book Treasure Island named Ben Gunn!
1992disney I admit, it's been a while since I watched/read either, but I remember B.E.N. being more cowardly and awkward, while Ben Gunn was much more outgoing.
#6: (Chicken song plays in the background) #5: I never watched the movie, but I don't mind Gurgi. #4: We all know that "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" is gothic, but I think I'm OK that the gargoyles exist for balancing the themes. #3: 🖕This boy! #2: Why did Eddie Murphy have to leave the set? Dishonorable Mentions 1. And he'll never apologize. 2. I LOVE Olaf! 3. Burn them ALL! 4. I LOVE Mater as well! #1: The worst father of them all!
OogieBoogie let's face it. Besides Mufasa, Fa Zhou, and, maybe Maurice (Beauty and the beast), Disney doesn't have a very good track record when it comes to fathers. Buck Cluck: Neglectful George Darling: Short tempered King Triton: Overprotective The Sultan: an idiot.
Here's my opinion on what he said: 6: Uh, I don't even know what to say about HeiHei... 5: I don't mind Gurgi, but he doesn't seem useless 4: I like the gargoyles 3: The worst protagonist ever. (I've never watched Mars Needs Moms, but I still hate it) 2: Did you read my comment about Mushu up here? Dishonorable mentions 1. I thought you were talking about Beast in the first movie, but rather in the horrendous Belle's Magical World 2. WHY IS OLAF ON HERE?! 3. Not all of the characters on Home on the Range are bad to me 4. Come to think of it, Mater isn't that bad in Cars 2 1: Good thing I don't have Buck Cluck as my father. None of us does And here's my top 6 worst characters: 6: Myrtle Edmonds. I've always hated bullies. I have like 3 of them at school and they would not stop making fun of me 5: Aunt Sarah. What does she have against dogs anyway? 4: Foxy Loxy. Please call 911 3: I would keep Milo on my list 2: George Darling. We all know that children have to grow up and mature someday, but rather than having it happen naturally, George literally FORCES Wendy to grow up by having her to move out of John and Michael's room so she can stop telling stories about Peter Pan, as he sees playing as a bad thing an doesn't treat Wendy with Kindness, even though Wendy is filled with kindness. And matters were made worse when he thinks that having Nana, a dog, as a caretaker is just too stupid and takes her out for the night. It's kind of like if he's taking her out, just so she can be a regular dog. What a bad father! >:C 1: Buck Cluck. Who else did you think would've been number 1?
#6: They got Alan Tuddyck for THIS?! #5: Never saw it, but the voice alone seems annoying. #4: I had always assumed that the gargoyles were just figments of Quasimodo's mind, but that's no excuse to make such annoying mood-jarring characters. #3: Again, never saw it, and I don't think I ever will. #2: Only saw Mulan 2 once, and that flanderized Mushu made me instantly regret it! (I know you don't like that term Strider, but I just had to say it) Dishonorable mentions: - Nope, never watching that sequel. - I can't really hate Olaf, I've just gotten tired of seeing him all over the place. - Never seen Home on the Range, and I'm not sure I want to - Yeah, Mater annoys me too. #1: Worst. Disney dad. EVER.
Elise Arainai I definitely have to agree regarding your take on the #1 pick! He’s like the ultimate antithesis to the bada** parent that Mufasa was! Heck I’m pretty sure most people would take great pleasure in seeing Mufasa maul the c**k that made the #1 spot (I know he has a name, but I’m not going to dignify this wretched EXCUSE for a parent by saying it) to death! 😈😈😈
J Crews Let's face it: aside from Mufasa, Disney doesn't have a very good track record in terms of fathers. George Darling: Short tempered King Triton: Overprotective The Sultan: an idiot Buck Cluck: Neglectful.
Thomas Huffman Add cruel and self-caring to Buck’s list! I feel like I’d take great (sadistic) pleasure in seeing that c**k either burned ALIVE or suffer death by Force lightning (courtesy of Emperor Palpatine, of course)! 😈😈
Thomas Huffman As funny (in a twisted way) as that sounds, I feel as though that wretched EXCUSE for a parent (I’m NOT referring to Mufasa, of course!) needs to suffer something TRULY excruciating for being such an awful individual! 😈😈😈
I was actually incredibly relieved they when with heihei as the animal sidekick. When I saw the trailers I knew Pua would bore me as he seemed like a generic cutesy princess sidekick. When I saw it was HeiHei on the boat I laughed and was most definitely relieved I wouldn't be bored with anything in Moana. So yeah I actually enjoyed Heihei
I like Hay Hay! I thought he was a good comic relief and even though he served no real purpose I thought that was okay! I don't know, I just thought Hay Hay was a good character!
was a cute background character, but he does feel tacked on. He's not terrible, he's just a cute, slightly funny background character who's there to fill the "cute animal sidekick" that all Disney movies must have by law.
He's not funny, he's an helpless invalid who's still alive just because Moana cares about him. What's so funny about that? It's terrible. And laughing at such a character is even worse.
I kept expecting the trolls from Frozen to show up on the list, or at least the dishonorable mentions. I thought they were easily the worst thing about the movie.
I fucking agree! Such overrated characters! They are too hard to look at and one-dimensional. The trolls from DreamWorks' Trolls being far superior characters is saying something.
Shadow Alchemist Yeah, especially considering that stupid song they sang, trying to force Anna and Kristoff to fall in love, even though they should have let the relationship between the two progress naturally, and let Anna and Kristoff learn it for themselves! (I'm still a huge fan of Frozen, nonetheless.)
Love how you portray Chicken Little; I think its really priceless but very true. I remember the first time watching it and I really feel bad for Chicken Little.
"Their society is run on popularity, shallow sport sensationalism, and celebrating in the joy of shunning and assaulting the unpopular." Me: Stop talking about the United States like that!
My son says: I feel like Buck Cluck is really misunderstood. He might feel embarrassed by the way the town treats his family, but he only wants what's best for his son, and even straight-up tells him that he loved him no matter what. In my opinion, Buck and Chicken Little are actually the victims of the town; they are the true bullies in this story; Foxy Loxy being the worst of these. She bullies Chicken Little practically every day at school, and she doesn't get a punishment for that?! That's just wrong. At the end of the day, while Buck certainly won't be making a run for Best Disney Dad, at least he does care for his son and tries to do what's best for him, even if he is a bit misguided.
6. I liked the chicken. Granted, not one of Alan Tudyk's finest roles, but he had some nice visual gags and broke things up a little. They could have gone with the pig, but he would have been too cute, I think. 5. I'm kinda fond of Gurgie. I've not read the original book yet, but I'm inclined to think he does what he does because of the book, so don't blame Disney. Blame Lloyd Alexander. And he talks like Donald Duck, because Disney. 4. "To make the picture less depressing". You just answered your own question. The Gargoyles are there to lighten the tone a little, since even the watered down Disney version of Hunchback is some of the darkest territory Disney's ever trodden. And they get some of the best lines. 3. Never seen it. No comment. 2. No argument there. Can't really stand Mushu in either movie to be honest, but it was beyond a joke here. 1. Never seen it. No real hurry to.
the chicken from Moana was meant to be a guard chicken like Sebastien was in the little mermaid but then he'd have to be mean to Moana so the animaters had a day to save him so they lowered his IQ to keep him so they didn't waste weeks of animating
Funny thing is, Hei Hei was supposed to be more like an ordinary rooster. Mean, tough, judgemental, a guard dog... But the writers thought he'd be too unlikable. Maui's line "The chicken lives" is a reference to him almost getting written out of the movie.
The Second Renaissance of Disney has done a lot of work with making incredible CGI. The hair in Tangled, the ice in Frozen, the hair and sea in Moana, the explosions in Big Hero 6, the entirety of The Good Dinosaur...
I am aware that TGD is Pixar, and under most circumstances I would never call it part of the DAC; that said, it was produced during this era and its CGI is some of the best out there. And the current age of the Disney Animated Canon IS called the Second Disney Renaissance or the 2009 Disney Revival.
I feel like he was too hard on Gurgi from The Black Cauldron to me I feel like Gurgi is adorable especially his voice and yes, it's true that he got the heroes into a whirlpool, but he forgot to mention that if it weren't for Gurgi they never would have found the magical pig, Hedwig, at the fairy place that happened to be underneath the whirlpool. They also never would have gotten the fairies' help to get to the exact location of where The Black Cauldron is. To me, Gurgi's incompetence is what helps the heroes go on their way on their journey. Besides, the only reason why he gets on a rock and the whirlpool starts is because he was trying to follow Hedwig's footprints and he thought that Hedwig went across the rocks not expecting the whirlpool to happen and to see that it was a secret passage to the fairies' lair. He also follows the heroes because he wants friends not just because of the apple. Heck, earlier on Taran, the main character, gives him the apple angrily and then leaves to go and fight the enemy, but Gurgi is left sad because he knows that his friend will get into danger. He only wants friends because he's extremely lonely and that's why he journeys with them. Heck, he only jumps into The Black Cauldron because he wants to save the world, but he also felt extremely lonely with no friends. I know it's PhantomStrider's opinion and I'm not trying to change it, but I can't help, but feel like he's not giving Gurgi enough credit.
Andrea Smeelie I was straight up angry the way he portrayed Gurgi. There's tons of sidekicks that fuck up way worse than him and at the end Gurgi fucking kills himself, more for Taran than for the world, and you can clearly tell that he's had a rough life. I don't care if it's strider's personal opinion, he overlooked way too much.
Top 5 reasons I love hei hei 1. He’s a chicken 2. He’s a good comic relief 3. I really like chickens 4. Chickens are the best 5. Can we talk about how much I love chickens
I agree with him about Mushu from the second movie. They destroyed Mushu's Lovable personality by making him so selfish, they made him a villain. This is my personal opinion
Crab Apple Yeah, Mushu was my favorite character from the original. I just hate how the 2nd movie mess up a fatherly, funny, and good spirited character.
I had a thought about the hunchback film. I think the Gargoyles are in Quasimodo’s mind. No other human sees them move or talk. When I say they are in his mind, I mean I think he imagines them talking to him as he would have been very lonely. If that is the case that is really sad.
I know this is not a Disney movie but I think Crash and Eddie in ice age movies ice age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs through Ice Age: Collision Course were just randomly got bad and were just extra characters in the movies trying to be funny
soupman764 i always agreed on that, I personally always all the characters ( I've loved Diego and Shira the most though) but crash and Eddie kind of bugged me
The only character disagree with is Mater. Yes in Cars 2 he's pretty annoying, but outside of that, Mater is a a good comic relief character, and a loyal best friend, even borderline brother-figure to McQueen. Hei Hei and the Gargoyles are fine, but I agree with the rest, especially Buck Cluck.
except nearly every animal sidekick has a purpose, i.e. the mice in Cinderella, Abu in Aladdin, this chicken does nothing! He even makes some situations worse, they could've put the pig in there to be cute for the kids
If I remember correcly it was because the test audiences didn't like the pig as much as the chicken, and they could make more funny moments with the chicken.
Because it would be too easy for Moana. Heihei was an obstacle to overcome, Pua was a cuddly friend to reassure her, which would make her journey much too easy. That's how the production team viewed it during development, Heihei was always meant to be the obstacle, but they toned him down a bit and then removed Pua to make the challenge somewhat fair given her task.
eh, I didn't think the chicken was horrible. it was supposed to be stupid, i mean, Disney teased the pig, the cliche, animal sidekick that is used all the time, the whole time only to let the chicken, the comic relief, as one of the main cast. hei hei was probably just a joke about the cliche animal sidekick that was run into the ground.
I don't hate the chicken, I just feel that there was no point in adding him to the quest. You could probably leave it back at the island and it would make little to no difference to the plot. The whole time I watched Moana I thought " Maybe there will be some twist and Hei-hei will turn into a giant chicken deity and help Maoi fight Tecah" (don't know how to spell that). If something like that happened maybe Disney would be more forgiven. Other than that, I see the chicken nothing more than pointless. Even if he was eaten, he doesn't have enough meat to be even a snack.
I hate that stupid pig. The people of the island should just cook him up and eat him. He serves no purpose to the story and is only on screen for a couple minutes total. KILL THE DUMB PIG ALREADY!
Really? That chicken annoyed you that much? He never bothered me, in fact, I laughed every time he was on screen. I like how a chicken was simply just a dumb animal - that was quite refreshing for an animated movie!
Chatnoir 77888 Yeah, generally a good list. I find the gargoyles really ruin the tone of an otherwise fantastic movie and Mushu was absolutely despicable in Mulan II. Mind you, I really didn't like what they did to the character of Mulan either. She goes from someone that would die for her country and for honour to putting China in danger, because she thinks that a few Princesses marrying for love is more important than unifying two Kingdoms with marriage. Mulan II is utter tripe!
In my opinion, that chicken ruined the movie... The movie had *stunning* animation/cast/voice-acting/representation of the Polynesian people/and phenomenal music, but when you use that damn chicken scream for over half the comic relief, the movie became shallow to me. I think having the chicken in the movie was fine, but it shouldn't have gone on the whole journey. If they had used the pig. The pig was closer to Moana, and it could have brought more to the movie than just laughing at stupidity. Also Maui could still have made those jokes about her "bringing a snack."
Let us be honest, Chicken Little is just a horrible film so likely all the characters in it are bound to be as unlikeable as the film itself, I despised that film, the animation was fugly, the story was stupid and the jokes were offensive and cringeworthy, even Family Guy jokes are less offensive.
I've always seen Chicken Litte as a kind of social criticism, and I find that very good looking for that point of view. Negligent fathers, unprofessional teachers and jerkass bullys really exist in the real world. So why hide this from kids ? Chicken Little's intention is precisely to make a social criticism about the cruelty and ignorance of the people, the characters who live in that city are detestable purpose, the protagonist is bullying victim for a small thing , just to portray how cold our society can be. It is a film that talks about bullying , social exclusion, and parental neglect , society was not to be "nice " and " friendly " as it is a critical satire of the REAL WORLD . I 've never seen anyone saying that he hates Dumbo, because of the bullying he suffers in the movie. Or saying that he hates The Hunchback of Notre Damme by "mean spirit" who humiliate him at the festival of fools , because they understand that this is part of the film. Why criticize it when it happens to Chicken Little ? I bet most of the Chicken Little haters(not all of than) did not even watch the movie but got angry at both negative reviews. They're a bunch of hypocrites, follow like sheep. Dont give me wrong, i do not have anything against who just does not like the movie, but I hate to see how much people massacre the film and consequently its fans, I've already been called many times as dumb and stupid simply because I like this movie.
Garotão Abobado it isn't meant to show kids anything other than an entertaining movie with interesting story and characters and you are clearly looking for more than the movie could ever offer. it's a shitty movie with shitty characters
For some reason all my solutions to problems was attack the problems. I got bullied so I attacked the bullies, somebody messed with me so I attacked them. Speaking to teachers didn't help especially not outside of school so hit them. It always worked for me and solved everything
Gawain Dragonsong You are so lucky. I almost pulled my hair out watching that movie. They decided "Oh, let's turn this princess who saved all of China into a fiance and royal escort with one of the worst Disney songs of all time to begin this terrible sequel. " I mean, really Disney, really.
Gawain Dragonsong There's tonnes of them, for all their classic movies. The only one that's any good is the Rescuers 2: Down Under, which has really good design, a pretty dark story, and rather tellingly was the only one in theatres, not straight to video
Sabrina Cheek hey, "Lesson Number One" is tolerable compared to "I Wanna be Like Other Girls." At least it didn't ruin a potentially heartwarming scene.
6: Lock (The Nightmare Before Christmas) 5: Georgette (Oliver and Company) 4: Milo (Mars Needs Moms) 3: The Weasels (Who Framed Roger Rabbit) 2: Gurgi (The Black Cauldron) 1: Robbie (Gravity Falls)
Hunchback is my favorite disney movie of all time. I watch atleast twice in one sitting, so despite what everyone says about the gargolyes they are completely necessary. If you watch the movie a couple of times then yeah i can see why someone would hate them but if you watched it as much as I have you would see the gargolyes play a deep perplexing role in revealing qusimodo's pysche. The gargolyes represents Quasimodo's thoughts and feelings. They are a complete figment of his imagination, he knows this when Frolo asked "can stone talk?" he replies "no they can't". After frolo sang the world is cruel and in one line he says "I am your only friend" you could easily brush over this but you have to realize Quasimodo has no REAL friends. Without the gargoyles the movie would feel empty and hateful. And saying the gargoyles done nothing throughout the whole film is BS they said one of the most beautiful quotes "We're only made of stone. We just thought that you were. Made of something stronger." This quote considering the gargoyles are only part of Quasi's imagination this goes to show that has to Quasi believe in himself in order to do what is right. Not to bash anyone who disagrees but you are mistaken to think the gargoyles are anything but necessary and I understand from those who just watch the movie and not dissect it as I have. To hate the gargoyles would be to reject all of quasimodo's feelings and thoughts.
+Kathryn Quintin Normally I would agree with you, but the only real problem with this theory is that the gargoyles physically helped Quasimodo to defend the Cathedral, if they had cut that scene from the movie then the gargoyles would be awesome on further analysis...
Madeus Gerstenlauer I completely agree. Just every scene they are in besides the opening when they give Quasimodo advice feels forced, unfocused, and unfunny. Their song is much less funny and well written then literally every other song in this otherwise unparalleled score. They are distracting and often irrelevant to almost every scene. Not only that, they are even annoying and unfunny in the scenes in which they are relevant to the plot. It's just such a distracting awful part to one of Disney's best movies, that would be Disney's best movie without them.
When I saw Moana in the theater, me, my family, and the entire theater laughed at the chicken. (Maybe a couple people in the theater hated him, but most of us loved him.) I love Mushu, but yeah. Him in Mulan 2 was horrible. I love Olaf I loved home on the range as a kid Me and my family ADORE Mater.
A joke like that only works once. If you drag it on too long the parody just becomes what it's mocking. If they offed the annoying character it would remain a nice joke, but if that annoying character becomes a staple, it's just an annoying character. It doesn't matter why they put it in.
When I was watching Moana in cinema, there was a little boy sitting next to me, and he got overjoyed every time that chicken appeared on screen, and seeing his genuine reactions was the most adorable thing ever. I didn't mind the chicken, was indifferent to it, but seeing this kid have the time of his life was unbelievably cute.
Well, the gargoyles from Hunchback did have one good line.
"Okay, Quasi, we'll leave you alone."
"After all, we're only made out of stone."
"We just thought, maybe, you were made of something stronger."
that's part of why they didn't bother me the same way they did to others.
"The city of love is burning this evening, true, that's because it's on fire!"
Slashbash gooooooooooooooooooooooooood
And you can't forget one line which I have stored in my database of Disney quotes that I use as mottos. "Take it from an old spectator, Quasi; life's not a spectator sport. If watching is all you're going to do, you're going to watch your life go by without you."
Slashbash GET TOASTEDDDD✌️️✌️️✌️️😝😝😝
Wait... Mars needs moms is a movie?!?!?!
AND ITS A DISNEY MOVIE?!??? Ewwwww....
I saw it once, it was awful.
@@thecourtjester2610 I feel bad you saw it at all
Fun fact It killed a studio.
Fifi_ Leafy, Ha ha! Yeah! That's exactly what I was thinking when I first found out about Mars Needs Moms was a Disney movie too. Ewwwww......
+Anime America true :) Hei Hei is more bad in a fun way while characters like cow or gurgi are more outright annoying.

Buck was the worst parent in an animated movie. Period.
He's still nowhere near as bad as Goku.
I thought Gloria Mott from American Horror Story was a really bad mother

I actually didn't mind Mater. Sure there were times where he wasn't completely needed for the plot, but I actually found some of his lines comedic
grant_godzilla To me, Mater was at his best in Cars 2
to me mater was at his best in cars 2.

As the Nostalgia Critic said, the Gargoyles could've been forgiven if they were 100% in Quasimodo's mind.
👌
Exactly!
Yeah. Doug made a really great point on that. Would've turned the comedy into a beautifully tragic undercurrent.
ztslovebird I was going to say the same thing
Oh wow. I thought they were in his head LOL
Chicken Little could have been amazing if they made it a horror movie. The main character snaps from the constant abuse and murders the scumlords that make up most of the people in his town.
Xifihas
It would have been quite satisfying to see all those pr**ks meet their ends in horrific ways! 😈😈😈
But I found the ending super satisfying, everyone paid dearly for not believing it, and as a consequence they were attacked by the aliens and pieces of the sky.
Garotão Abobado of course
I found that the most satisfying part of the movie
And the ending part where Chicken Little had his own movie
Thought that was “decent”
i would watch that so much
Xifihas basically the entire plot of Stephen Kings Carry but with animals
In my opinion Moana should have taken the pig along, that thing was adorable.
Rachel Hollars Me too! I was a bit upset that Moana brought hei hei with her, but not the cute pig.
Rachel Hollars IKR I thought the pig would have more a major role
That pig was a baby from the beginning

hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha soooooo funny.
@The Childhood Cartoon Fan That's right
Also Hamm (Toy Story 2)
I've never thought of that...
sikisikiamimis Agreed. Bellwether is not even a true villain. She's just a plot device.
sikisikiamimis To be honest, I love Bellwether as a character, and more of a nice character who should have been an ally, but I do not love her as a plot twist villain because she does not fit the role of that at all, and I don't understand how some idiots can say she is scary and diabolical than all the classic Disney and Pixar villains who have more evil in them than she ever will.
Oh my God, yes ! Not just that, but her plan was an overly convoluted clusterfuck that made no sense.

I loved heihei. Sure he is dumb but he adds some comic relief to the movie.

I have heard on Nostalgia Critic that the Gargoyles would've been forgiven if it was in Quasimodo's mind, so adding a part of the movie where those three said that they are in fact, then the movie would have been so much better.
JoshTGDG Good point.
We also have another likable Milo. Anyone remember Milo Thatch from Atlantis the lost Empire? The cute nerdy linguist who saved the sunken kingdom. 💎
Oh hell yeah! So if there are people that say good thing about Milo in Mars Needs Moms instead fo the other Disney-animated Milos like Milo Murphy and Milo Thatch, I would f'in brawl with them troll-brats.
Love that movie!
That's sad.
I personally thought Joy was endearing and relateable.
Victor Jandre I liked joy. She just wanted her girl to be happy. She didn't know how to react when things went wrong.
It's sad that someone has a different opinion?!*fake laugh to prove you wrong*
Also, Joy from Inside Out appears to be the most developed Inside Out character.

While I disagree, I see your point. I think I'd have liked it better if they were at least figments of Quasi's imagination.
I loved the gargoyles too. I honestly think the movie wouldn’t be as good without them.
They should have made it only laverne
Sora: *TALKING GARGOYLES?!*
Yeah i agree
1992disney well, to be fair, him and Ben Gunn have very different personalities
But they both have gone insane due to years of loneliness and isolation. How does that make them any different?
1992disney I admit, it's been a while since I watched/read either, but I remember B.E.N. being more cowardly and awkward, while Ben Gunn was much more outgoing.
I see. Maybe you should both re-read Treasure Island and re-watch Treasure Planet, so you'll understand and compare the two better.

5: Aunt Sarah. What does she have against dogs anyway?
4: Foxy Loxy. Please call 911
3: I would keep Milo on my list
2: George Darling. >:C

Yeah
I kinda liked HeiHei...but I really liked Moana so it's probably just my opinion.
Love how you portray Chicken Little; I think its really priceless but very true. I remember the first time watching it and I really feel bad for Chicken Little.
I felt bad for him too
I do feel bad for him too, but about the townspeople being heartless, cruel, backstabbers, Morcubine Porcupine wasn't like the town at all.
Yeah he's so kind and yet he gets abused every where.
It made me cry so bad every time as a kid.
He has to deal with Buck Cluck as a dad so I feel really bad for him
I loved that chicken
*MY FUCKING EARS!!!!!!!!!*
How could u
The chicken was played by Alan Tudok, no joke
We all know Milo Murphy is much more likable than his namesake from Mars Needs Moms.
ArendAlphaEagle and don't forget another Disney Milo, Milo Thatch from Atlantis the Lost Empire.
ArendAlphaEagle I very much agree:) I thought i was one of the only ones who love mm
"Their society is run on popularity, shallow sport sensationalism, and celebrating in the joy of shunning and assaulting the unpopular."
Me: Stop talking about the United States like that!
Andrew Brasfield
And the uk
You're raising an intelligent boy, sir. These comments are amazing. 👏👏👏👏👏
My life is pretty okay I just needed to let everyone know before they hate on hey hey
Shannon Metcalf they should have stuck with that idea!
Funny thing is, Hei Hei was supposed to be more like an ordinary rooster. Mean, tough, judgemental, a guard dog... But the writers thought he'd be too unlikable. Maui's line "The chicken lives" is a reference to him almost getting written out of the movie.

Hand drawn is so much better then CGI which always looks so dated,
Bring back hand drawn animation!
i like cgi and hand drawn and both take work. i don't know why people bash everything today. oh well. pray for the paperman technology then
The Second Renaissance of Disney has done a lot of work with making incredible CGI.
Joseph Davis the fur in zootopia
Yes! I have someone who agrees with me! Thank you! :)
Gurgi fucking rocks.
To be fair Gurgi isn't even a Disney character, The Black Couldron is based off a series of book from the 60s.
+PokeEmblem 692 Even since "Three Little Pigs" or even earlier!
"Number one: Buck Cluck from chicken little."
Me: AMEN!!!!
hannah58787 absolutely
Top 5 reasons I love hei hei
1. He’s a chicken
2. He’s a good comic relief
3. I really like chickens
4. Chickens are the best
5. Can we talk about how much I love chickens
I agree with him about Mushu from the second movie. They destroyed Mushu's Lovable personality by making him so selfish, they made him a villain. This is my personal opinion
Sounds like Gurgi was voiced by Donald Duck. :(
gamergirl 662 it wouldn't surprise me if Clarence Nash voiced him
Thought that sounded familiar!
In the Finnish dub they share a voice actor
Mushu in Mulan 2 is the absolute worst.
Crab Apple Yeah, Mushu was my favorite character from the original. I just hate how the 2nd movie mess up a fatherly, funny, and good spirited character.
Don't let Thiti2000 see these opinions on Mushu! When she does, she will threaten us!!!!! 8O
Of course he was hilarious in the first movie but he was annoying in the second one.
Hey! that's just unfair!!!
Kieran Stark She will destroy us all! Destroy us all! Destroy us all! Destroy us all! Destroy us all! Destroy us all! Destroy us all!
I had a thought about the hunchback film. I think the Gargoyles are in Quasimodo’s mind. No other human sees them move or talk. When I say they are in his mind, I mean I think he imagines them talking to him as he would have been very lonely. If that is the case that is really sad.
Kentucky fried nuisance 😂😂😂
Technically, they're in the Pacific Islands, so it'd be Pacific Fried Chicken
I know this is not a Disney movie but I think Crash and Eddie in ice age movies ice age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs through Ice Age: Collision Course were just randomly got bad and were just extra characters in the movies trying to be funny
soupman764 i always agreed on that, I personally always all the characters ( I've loved Diego and Shira the most though) but crash and Eddie kind of bugged me
*love all the
shame since josh peck voices one of them
I never did like those two characters. I like the others though.
soupman764 well, technically they ARE Disney movies now, since Disney owns Fox.
That bloody chicken from Moana.
Like, SHUT UP OR I'LL TURN YOU INTO DINNER!
There are only 2 things I disagree with.
1. Hei Hei. I loved Hei Hei.
2. The Gargoyles. They should be number 1,2,3,4,5 and 6.
I personally disagree with his opinion on home on the range. I honestly thought that was a good movie and I still do.
Finally, someone recognises how much of the awesomeness that is Milo Murphy's Law
No lie, I wanna watch Milo Murphy when I found out that he’s voiced by Weird Al
“A very unfortunate rabbit”
Disney needs to hire You
Olaf was annoying because of all the merchandise.
Like the minions (BANANA XDDDD......this is a joke btw
I never liked Olaf even before the merchandise.
Same he was pointless too.
As someone who loves Frozen as well as it's sound track, the WORST songs on an otherwise flawless sound track are Fixer Upper and ESPECIALLY In Summer
No he's annoying because he's annoying
The only character disagree with is Mater. Yes in Cars 2 he's pretty annoying, but outside of that, Mater is a a good comic relief character, and a loyal best friend, even borderline brother-figure to McQueen. Hei Hei and the Gargoyles are fine, but I agree with the rest, especially Buck Cluck.
Why didn't they just make the pig the sidekick instead of the chicken?
because they wanted comedy in the movie for kids
except nearly every animal sidekick has a purpose, i.e. the mice in Cinderella, Abu in Aladdin, this chicken does nothing! He even makes some situations worse, they could've put the pig in there to be cute for the kids
Laura Swiftfoot hay hay did do something..
Buck Cluck should've been the center of hate instead of Chicken Little
eh, I didn't think the chicken was horrible. it was supposed to be stupid, i mean, Disney teased the pig, the cliche, animal sidekick that is used all the time, the whole time only to let the chicken, the comic relief, as one of the main cast. hei hei was probably just a joke about the cliche animal sidekick that was run into the ground.
You are completely correct and I only see that now.
My Picks:
6. Gene (Wreck-It Ralph)
5. BEN (Treasure Planet)
4. Milo (Mars Needs Moms)
3. Mushu (Mulan ll)
2. Zephyr (The Hunchback of Notre Dame 2)
Dishonourable Mentions...
Chi-Fu (Mulan)
Gilbert Huph (The Incredibles)
All The Wild Characters
Fred (Big Hero 6: The Series)
1. Buck Cluck (Chicken Little)
Let me guess...Chicken Little is in First Place?
*Edit*: Yep
*Edit2*: Chicken Little was a movie(since ever character SUCKS)
ValdemarCristino Fontenele Andrade he's in first not Frist
Is it not Buck Cluck?
VERY close
IS FRIST!!!
Because im want punch he...
Ok..*FIXED*
lol
Suggestion: a top 10 best animated movies of all times.
William Osborne and that stupid chicken was forgettable and not funny
jay fawn Well the movie wouldn't be completed without him and it's only William Osborne's opinion so don't judge please.
Andrew Bertain better stfu b4 u get SMACKED tfu
Why do you think a lot of these types of stories are being made despite the negative reviews? But some of these stories do screw up more than others.
Garotão Abobado When the movie first came out, i loved it. It was amazing. Then I saw it last year and I just had to take it off...It's honestly shit.
Garotão Abobado it isn't meant to show kids anything other than an entertaining movie with interesting story and characters and you are clearly looking for more than the movie could ever offer. it's a shitty movie with shitty characters
Gotta love how having a popular opinion makes you a mindless sheep following the crowd.
For some reason all my solutions to problems was attack the problems. I got bullied so I attacked the bullies, somebody messed with me so I attacked them. Speaking to teachers didn't help especially not outside of school so hit them. It always worked for me and solved everything
I didn't even know Mulan had a sequel.
Gawain Dragonsong
Good! As Cipher from The Matrix said, "Ignorance is bliss".
And thank goodness you haven't heard of it. Don't watch it, it's awful.
I was about to say how dare you dislike kovu the most badass lion in history
6: Lock (The Nightmare Before Christmas)
5: Georgette (Oliver and Company)
4: Milo (Mars Needs Moms)
3: The Weasels (Who Framed Roger Rabbit)
2: Gurgi (The Black Cauldron)
1: Robbie (Gravity Falls)
The hunchback of Norte dame would have been perfect if they had never created the gargoyles
Kathryn Quintin why so long i spent 18 minutes reading that instate of folding clothes =(
I myself would've preferred just the 2 male gargoyles in "Hunchback," but the lady, ugh!!!!
The Black Cauldron is based on the book series The Chronicles of Prydain, Gurgi is more annoying in the books.
as soon as he said mushu i got triggerd
ChrisCake but the mushu he's talking about is not Eddie Murphy
ChrisCake Mushu was pretty horrible in the sequel
he was talking about the second movie dont worry i got triggered too till he said the second movie i was like OH i was about to get triggered
ChrisCake mushu is the best
Mushu IN THE SEQUEL was bad. Strider said he was a good character in the first film, but not in the sequel. And learn what opinions are.
When I saw Moana in the theater, me, my family, and the entire theater laughed at the chicken. (Maybe a couple people in the theater hated him, but most of us loved him.)
I love Mushu, but yeah. Him in Mulan 2 was horrible.
I love Olaf
I loved home on the range as a kid
Me and my family ADORE Mater.
You never gave your opinion on Buck Cluck
Mater
Is awdome
WatchMojo is a low budget Phantom Strider
I like the way you think sir XD
Tristan Winchester you'd think they could put a use to all the money they have. They could also base it on their own opinions, not others'.
Tristan Winchester isn't it the other way around not that Phantom is bad I'm just saying WM has over 10m subs so I'm pretty sure they make more money
Nah, he goes into detail and doesn't have to use click bait to get good views
Tristan Winchester but that has nothing to do with the budget
I think Hei-Hei is supposed to make fun of/parody stupid animal sidekicks in Disney movies.
Which Strider pretty much COMPLETELY forgot about! For shame!
That's besides the point, he's still annoying asf
A joke like that only works once. If you drag it on too long the parody just becomes what it's mocking.
If they offed the annoying character it would remain a nice joke, but if that annoying character becomes a staple, it's just an annoying character. It doesn't matter why they put it in.
Phoebe Peak I hope so
Phoebe Peak Hei-Hei was supposed to be like a guard dog but some people said no and they wanted to keep him so they had to dumb him down to keep him
It wouldn't be a worst Disney characters list without bad ol' Buck
Sorow Fame like the Mysteriousmrenter said, he's a big fat cock!
That’s quite the story you have there!
