Yeah, I've completely forgotten BAD Chicken Little was until just several months ago. I've forgotten just how INCREDIBLY cruel just how the animal citizens of Chicken's town were towards Chicken Little over a mistake like "the sky is falling!", even after a YEAR later (which they're going to make a VERY insulting film about him!). HOW IN ALL OF CREATION anyone finds this to be acceptable?! >:( I can't believe I let the kids I baby-sit see this!
21:03 Black Cauldron also has one of the most terrifying and evil villains in Disney history ( terrifying and evil in a good way) in the form of the Horned King which despite being pure evil through and through is easily the best part of the movie.
But Gurgi ruined the film but the only good thing about him is the sacrifice he made to stop the undead army! So yeah, pre-gargoyles character to tone down the darkness via mood whiplash, and has a similar voice to Jar Jar. But without the Jamaican-esque accent!
Why's everyone saying, "why'd you put aladin in the thumbnail?", it's not because he doesn't like aladin, it's because the genie was really mad in that picture.
Respectfully, Teen Beach Movie is supposed to be cheesy, they were transported into a really cheesy old film. That said, I love your videos and am newly subscribed
Angel Arrow exactly, it was intentional in so many parts of the film. That’s why Mac wants to get out of it. It’s because it’s cheesy and quirky and she wants to be independent and mature and move on in life
I liked Chicken Little when I was kid. I watched it again recently and I was like "what the hell, how did I watch this when I was little?" It's so mean spirited. You're just watching this chicken suffer, and it's even worse when you realize that the characters are supposed to be in middle school.
SkyWaterfire02 From childhood to now, I pity the protagonist so much. Most of the entire film was depressing to watch, until the aliens showed up, and he ends up as the hero of the story.
Notes on Chicken Little: Chicken little never said the sky was falling until a fireman asked, after the city Was already destroyed. Só, invalid point there.
I actually loved Planes when I was younger... I thought the moral is that "No matter who you are, hard work and determination will always bring fruit.." 😅😅
Chicken Little was my first impression of what social life at school could be like. A lot of the bad messages went right over my 4-year-old head, though. Some of the jokes were entertaining, and I liked Sci-fi... and the aliens turned friendly at the end. I left the theater happy about it due to the fact that I was comparing it to the previous movie that I watched there which scared me.
Be careful about posting a story like that. This is after all the sole instance where the opinion is the fact! This movie is pro-bullying propaganda from the Disney CEO and you would HAVE to know that.
I love Mulan. I think my favourite scene is when she leaves home. It was so well done. The commentary with the movie is very interesting. I laughed when you were watching the song at the end.
Have you watched Saberspark's "What the HELL is "Mars Needs Moms"? Oh Jeebus the money they lost on this movie is astounding! Not to mention he brings up a lot of what PhantomStrider brings up. I'm not trying to advertise another channel here but the video is so accurate to the disaster that is that "film".
@@alph_69 yeah! I'm not really a cartoon connoisseur like these guys or BlameitonJorge are, but something about the way they talk about the things in their videos, you don't need to know any technical jargon to thoroughly enjoy their content. I've learned a few things watching their stuff too (which episodes were nominated for awards, which ones stirred controversy, etc.) and it shows just how passionate they are about this stuff. Strider for example puts very elegant words in his examples, whether it is giving a movie a graceful, genuine, all around positive review. Or (and this is my personal favorite) he can't stand something and would "rather hear nails on a chalkboard than 'so-and-so's' voice" or "treating children like they're stupid" and the tone of his voice when using positive or negative reviews makes you understand just how much he appreciates or loathes something. In fact that's the reason I subscribed to PhantomStrider, his descriptions of how he sees these things really hooked me as a viewer.

When I was little, Home on the Range was my favorite movie. I remember loving the songs. I re-watched it a few months ago, and it was really corny. It has a great concept, I just think they could have delivered it better (and could have avoided all of those horrible cow puns).
Me too, I like the Home on the Range because I used to watched it since I was little and it was so good. But I don’t know why you added it on the list for what reason? You can’t just added on the bad list show some respect the movie pal.
I actually liked Chicken Little. I initially thought it was because I watched as a kid and the nostalgia carried over. But I also like it’s plot. Not really the part about the aliens and stuff, but the part about our titular character. His name-Chicken Little- is a metaphor about how he is both literally and emotionally belittled by everyone. He only has a small group of friends, both also flawed and bullied like himself, who try to help him to deal with the rest of society and earn the acceptance of his father. In my opinion, it’s a really wholesome plot with a very throughoutly explored main character. I feel like this is a really good plot on paper but that was just somewhat poorly executed and with a weird conflict of ideas.
I DID find I entertaining when I was younger, but I still hated the entire town for abusing our protagonist for something a CHILD could say. But hey. At least I STILL find it entertaining, I don't know why.
Honestly I like Home on The Range... Only for Roseanne (when she was still lovable) and the hilarious idea of the bad guy being a yodeler that uses it to steal cows. That’s pretty funny. Stupid, but funny.
I definitely loved it as a child and still honestly do to this day. It was just a special movie that me and my grandma watched all the time. I get that it’s stupidly silly, but it’s still special to some.
I think everybody liked Chicken Little for only two reasons: 1) Childhood is not demanding in quality 2) No one really were aware that was a Disney movie
@@yesno2697 Yeah.....according to Barry Cook he wrote a synopsis which was Mulan and Shang, soon to be married, receive word from The Emperor that strange things are happening up north. The synopsis ended with the ghostly ancestors of Mulan in an epic battle against the deceased army of Shan Yu. Unfortunately Cook was never involved beyond submitting the idea. There's no concept art on it either......I would kill to see my favorite golden eyed menace as a vengeful restless ghost. Or they could've gone with a plot of the 5 elite Huns of Shan Yu escaping prison and trying to finish their leader's work and conquer China since there was no evidence that they died at the end of the first film. Hey at least there's no annoying sexist Chi Fu in Mulan 2....
Ironically, Chicken Little was (and still is) one of my favorite movies of all time. Sure, the story is hard to follow and the characters are bland, but it has a message: perserverance and learning to ignore the negative nancies that constantly weigh you down. Chicken Little's story, at the ages of six to today, was always simple to me: a young chicken struggles for acceptance after causing mass fear throughout his town, and is determined to make it up to everyone by attempting to show his better side - with the help of his best friends. Plus, when I was in elementary, Chicken Little was scarily relatable - if you didn't have a phone, never wear make-up, you did NOT watch Family Guy, you are the shortest, have a disability or bodily disorder, and if you were not up to the standards of what the teachers call perfect, you're gonna have a shit life in my elementary school. It was fucked up because I was ostricized and made fun of because of those things. And...I wouldn't know until AFTER elementary that I have ASD: Asperger's. Nobody, not even my younger self, realized that I also had Mosaic Down Syndrome, which caused my autism, made me slightly shorter than my peers and gave me hypotonia. Also, I have been and always will be a tomboy that respects their parents' choices on what I cannot watch..
Honestly I can't stand most movies where the main characters are teens. 40 year olds trying to write how they think teens act usually ends up being cliche and cringy
They always squeal and talk s**t like “You should be the ocean and wave goodbye”, I watched that film and forgot most of Teen Beach Movie cuz it is forgettable saccharine schlock.
I liked teen beach movie, because it was so bad, i loved turning it on and just making fun of it and liking i thing, two of the songs a little bit, it was so stupid and bad it made me actually wanna go back to watch it and pick at it
chicken little is one of those movies that was my childhood, but i don't remember much of it, same with meet the jeffersons (i think that's what it's called)
I have a theory now: The original idea for Mulan 2 was the three army friends and their girlfriends, but the executives didn't think it'd work unless Mulan was front and center. So, the team made a dumpsterfire because they didn't want to have Mulan play a big part anyway
Technically in 22:16, it's more like, as 2019 joker said it: "he can die on the street floors and everyone will just walk casually." As they don't really try to kill him either directly or actively, but if chicken little ends up dead, no one will care.
Here's my idea for a sequel of Mulan: The Mongols completely take over China, with a ruthless general hand picked by Ghengis Khan overseeing the country. Mulan and company lead a rebel alliance to try to drive the Mongols out. However, the ancestors foretell that Mulan is doomed to *fail* her mission. Having grown overconfident from her victory against Shan Yu, Mulan presses on anyway, telling herself there's no other alternative. I think something like this could take inspiration from epics like the Illiad that often included heroes that have to learn the hard way how destructive pride can be.
I'm sure Disney tried really hard to bury these films. But unlike Nick Disney did not try hard enough. There are some nick shows that have been so heavily buried and long forgotten you have to dig deep to find their rotting skeletal corpses.

I'm one of the few people who liked Chicken Little. I thought that it was pretty good. I didn't love it, it wasn't great, but I enjoyed it. That said, you're still entitled to your opinion, phantomstrider8, and I found your video excellent.
Its hate is constructed from how HORRIBLE they try expressing their moral. I, honestly, thought Chicken Little could've been a good movie, as it had some pretty decent parts to it, but unnecessary cruelty, pop songs every 5 seconds, and a boring story are the only three things making this up and that's not anything I'd recommend watching.
Here is a better premise for a Mulan sequel. It's China, right? Well, Disney, if you go across the ocean to the east from China, you'll find this island nation called Japan (or Nippon locally). Nowadays, they are known for their electronics, contributions to the entertainment industry, rich culture, and excellent cuisine. However, despite how nice they are now, from time immemorial to 1945, they were also known for their human rights violations, militarism, and ultranationalism. Japan has attacked China a bunch if times, not just in World War II. So here is an idea for a movie; a Japanese warlord wants to take over China because of its resources, its manpower, and for all the same reason Tojo did. Think of the action scenes that would have taken place.
Historically untrue. After the Divine Emperor of China sent envoys to Japan, and Korea, Japan based almost all of its local customs on China's influence. So much so, that not 80 years later, the island of Japan declared their Empress the Grand Empress of All. China never attacked Japan, they never got to. Japan merely retaliated both times. Each time China went to attack Japan, a typhoon destroyed the ships. China harassed the Japanese because China has always wanted to annex the island nation. When The Grant Emperor of China sent his first flotilla over, he had meant to conquer and enslave an island of people who modeled their own bureaucracy because of favorable trade deals, Japan retaliated. Two centuries later, after everything had calmed between the Kingdoms, the Hun Dynasty meant to wipe Japan off the map for a perceived insult. The Emperess at the time of Japan refused to marry, or marry of her daughters, to the Hun Emperor. Thus, second failed attempt at invading Japan. Every time Japan attacked China, it was in retaliation. So, while I like your premise, and it's not like Mulan is 100% accurate, a war between China and Japan would be a great idea for a Mulan film, it wasn't Japan that was the aggressor.
Luckily, PhantomStrider showed us that he did too, but even though it is only an honorable mention on this list, he could elaborate more on why The Lion King 3: Hakuna Matata is actually good, ESPECIALLY by DisneyToon Studios film standards.
That's how they got them to do the movie...wait...no...drugging children is not even slightly funny (especially considering how often Hollywood used to do it 😕)
While I do appreciate your point of view on Chicken Little, it was personally one of my all time favorite films when I was a child, and even now. Weird, I know, but hear me out: As someone who was picked on relentlessly as a child, and someone who has pretty severe anxiety now, Chicken Little hits about as close to home as it possibly could without being right in my living room. As a young, bullied kid, all that matters to you is that you are unpopular, and you are being picked on by the popular kids while they are praised alongside their glamorous friends. Blowing the bullying out of proportion is also something that bullied kids tend to do, usually the younger kids though, around primary or early secondary school age, which I believe is about the age of Chicken Little. Seeing how badly Chicken Little was treated, not only by those at school, but the whole town, and how neglectful his dad was, his perception of reality may be skewed tremendously because of a mental illness caused by the terrible treatment he received by those around him. Therefore, I have a theory that much of the movie is all in Chicken Little's head. As someone with pretty severe anxiety, I am constantly worrying that something I've said, even the smallest thing, will be remembered by those around me for years and years to come, hence why the town is still talking about his little mishap a year later; that's pretty close to the perception of reality for someone with severe anxiety. As for the aliens, a child who has felt little but pain and fear for most of his life would want to do something spectacular to stop the abuse from the community and feel more accepted, and even honored as a hero, a fantasy created by many a bullied child.
Skylar Jay As someone who was relentlessly bullied myself and also has anxiety problems, I still think this movie is horrible and I don't think the movie was in his head

Nah, a musical burst into song at points relevant to the plot, not at complete random.
I'm 98% sure that the randomly bursting into song is a running joke amonst live-action Disney movies that involve real world interacting with musical worlds. See: Enchanted
That's what Disney movies do

It's mainly a joke by them from my understanding, they don't legitimately think he dislikes the movie
Yeah that makes sense.

Chris Slitas the aliens were the best part
SkyWaterfire02 I found it funny when the aliens were phoning for help. XD
Chris Slitas they had a cool design. Too bad they weren't used in a better story

It was an OK movie
You do know it actively promotes bullying though, right?

When I was little, Home on the Range was my favorite movie. I remember loving the songs. I re-watched it a few months ago, and it was really corny. It has a great concept, I just think they could have delivered it better (and could have avoided all of those horrible cow puns).
I agree. All the movie needed was more bad cow puns.

It's mean-spirited.
I DID find I entertaining when I was younger, but I still hated the entire town for abusing our protagonist for something a CHILD could say. But hey. At least I STILL find it entertaining, I don't know why.

I think everybody liked Chicken Little for only two reasons:
1) Childhood is not demanding in quality
2) No one really were aware that was a Disney movie
The Shan-Yu demon thing sounded awesome actually.

That was actually planned as one of the original ideas for the plot of Mulan 2......NO I'M NOT KIDDING!
robonaught . . . *Insert angry Hades'* *WHATTTTTTTTTTT?!*
@@robonaught Wtf!? That plot sounded awesome!
I would rather have that than watching little kids roleplay fortnite.
Dovah Girlie that’s one of the reasons I don’t watch Chicken Little. It’s scary how relatable it is when you really look at it.

I actually liked Mulan II but mostly because of that romances between the soldiers and the princesses.
They saved a movie that would have otherwise been UNWATCHABLE
I liked that aspect of the movie, but sadly, it’s not enough
Technically in 22:16, it's more like, as 2019 joker said it: "he can die on the street floors and everyone will just walk casually." As they don't really try to kill him either directly or actively, but if chicken little ends up dead, no one will care.
Here's my idea for a sequel of Mulan:
The Mongols completely take over China, with a ruthless general hand picked by Ghengis Khan overseeing the country.

While I do appreciate your point of view on Chicken Little, it was personally one of my all time favorite films when I was a child, and even now. Weird, I know, but hear me out:
As someone who was picked on relentlessly as a child, and someone who has pretty severe anxiety now, Chicken Little hits about as close to home as it possibly could without being right in my living room.
