This is a very loose bit of rambling from me but I've grown to realize that's what you sick fucks enjoy so have fun
Wake up darling new Bricky rant uploaded.
Is there a specific reason that you seem rather dismissive of monster hunter?
@Bricky Thank God I've been trying to spawn camp this vid lol, I've been looking at both your channels, at the videos lives and shorts I've been waiting for your opinions, also pls help me get an army of faith box my birthday is coming up
Brickler! There is a ton of gameplay of space marine 2 and wukong available on youtube! You are talking like we have only trailers.

Killer bean: the game
This ain't Game of the year, It's Game of the century
Game of the millennia game of the eon
game of the eternity
A game that will define the industry in such a way that COD and Fortnite can only dream of achieving
I heard something about it, apparently it’s like Halo 2 meets Halo 3
Better have the moist man in the game
One take away from this video is that I realize Bricky is probably a lot more busy than me with how much stuff he didn't even know that were already shown or announced before these showcases
he’s speaking to us who don’t have much time to keep up on new stuff 😢
No I get him If it's a pre-rendered trailer it's just wasting everybody's time. The only time a pre&rendered trailer should be acceptable is when it's a game announcement. Otherwise show me gameplay.
If I don't know about your game and all I see is a pre-rendered trailer I'm assuming you find the gameplay not competent enough to stand on its own in its current state. If I see that when the game is releasing in weeks, I'm not going to care about your game.
@@TheLordofMetroids Im talking about games like Fable and Avowed. Both have been at several xbox showcases and it sounds like Bricky just found out they are things, especially when he saw Avowed was Obsidian.
@@TheLordofMetroids That pre rendered trailer for Civ 7 was way more compelling than any gameplay could be. But I agree that isn't true for every genre.
To be fair for Space Marine 2, we did get an 8 minute long unbroken gameplay reveal that shows off a good chunk of gameplay. I would post a link, but TH-cam is not a big fan of posting links.
We are also getting a full gameplay showcase on July 20th FYI
I get wanting to see more gameplay but yeah that 8 min long tyrranid push was good enough for me, I'd hate to see to much of the action outside of that before I get my hands on it
There's also a few conventions coming up that will have booths for people to play a demo of the game
Also a lot of TH-cam like ACG posted 20ish minutes of gameplay
Might as well post a playthrough of the whole game apparently 😂
They dont want to leave us with anything
About Fragpunk: it obviously very "inspired" by friends versus friends, which is a game i wholeheartedly recommend playing with some buddies.
Yeah. Seeing Microsoft steal FvF's whole flow (even some of the same card effects) really bummed me out
YES it is amazing even solo IMO
@@Shark-Fist. They aren't even the ones developing that; It's an entirely different third party company.
@@dragonbornexpress5650 Ah, apologies. I assumed it was one of Microsoft's studios
@@Shark-Fist. No, if it was one of Microsoft's own studios, they would have made that pretty damn clear.
The fact that nearly everyone I've seen has been enthralled by Expedition 33's announcement trailer is giving me dopamine
I really like turn based combat, and the visual style of the menues, which look really cool, remind me of Persona 5.
It's just nice to see a western developer go for turn based combat, when every other just go for action.
When I saw it at first I was like "oh, this looks Like it's going to be a plain old MMO not really intere- yo is that Paper Mario combat?" Never did a 180 on a trailer so fast. I am down for a turn-based Western RPG with action command combat.
@LG555 I didn't even realise it was turn based at first. When I found out, for a second I was sad about it, but then I realised thatvwas actually way more exciting 😅 That game looks amazing
I was hooked by the plot then i saw the mario and luigi gameplay
Wukong already has at least an hour of gameplay videos available.
Exacatary!
Yeah that bit really confused me there
He did worse for The First Descendant. The game had a free open beta week on Steam in september 2023, plenty of people already played it, no NDA, gameplay videos are all over TH-cam. Yet he doesn't know what it is? My man was too busy with his Necrons it seems.

thank you for giving your editor a whole bit to talk about SF6 i needed that :D
p.s take a drink every time bricky says "idk about this game"
The biggest thing with Stalker 2 is going to be what side of fan base it is going to appeal to, because the gap between a more traditional, mainline trilogy with maybe a few QOL mods fan, vs the hardcore, hyper modded basically “gun tuber” fan is insanely massive. How they balance that I think is going to be the thing that determines how the game is seen, because like you said, it’s incredibly hard to follow up those original games, and I think most people know that
another significance of SNK characters in SF6 is that SNK and Capcom kind of had a falling out during the early 2000s (when making CVS), that's why they haven't worked together in 20+ years, so this get together could be a sign of more to come, maybe their relationship is healing? CVS3 on the horizon? More collabs? Man it's a good time to be an SNK and Capcom fan
Well, less of a falling out and more like SNK went bankrupt. (Which was both because of their own stupid decisions and also, hilariously enough, they could never really get into the North American market.)
Also didn't help that, unlike companies such as Capcom or Konami, SNK constantly had issues with home console titles that weren't just ports of their arcade lineup, which meant they were hit REALLY badly when arcade business declined starting in the mid 90's and they realized "Oh, shit; Our games are underperforming left and right and we've never been able to strike it big on home consoles." (Plus, to make matters even worse, they could never find a decent copy protection system for their arcade cabinets since their arcade cabinets used various game cartridges rather than individual cabinets per game or version, meaning they were also not making money off of a good chunk of their arcade division all while they had continuously struggled to make games specifically for home consoles. )
You combine all of those factors together, mix in a pachinko company buying SNK around the time KOF 2000 was in development, and there's absolutely zero wonder why SNK characters are now part of the DLC for Street Fighter 6.
Also important to note that SNK was founded by ex Capcom devs who left due to capcoms rules on having "stage names" in their games credits to avoid poaching.... Conveniently a lot of these censored "protected" workers where women.... It was a whole thing
@@nobodywashere3123 SNK and Capcom were founded around the same time. They both started making games in the early 80s. SNK was never founded by "ex-Capcom devs" like you're claiming. What you may be referring to is the creation of Fatal Fury, which did have a lot of ex-Capcom employees working on it. Most notably is probably Takashi Nishiyama who created the first Street Fighter game before being picked up by SNK.
Having pseudonyms in the credits was common practice back then. It was mandated by companies like Konami. Poaching was a serious problem for companies at the time because someone important could be offered a job at a better salary and leave a project in the middle of development. It wasn't weird thing like you're implying. Some older developers even go by their pseudonyms today. Examples include SOESOE, Zoe, and Hori_Hori.
I want to believe all those phone games where both Capcom and SNK characters appeared as guests helped to reweld their relationship eventually
@@nobodywashere3123. False for both.

Hopefully Gears going back to the roots can help them in the long run.
I saw an article of them saying they haven't gave up on making Gears 6 and they still plan to continue the story. I think they're making this prequel to get people into Gears. Hopefully E-Day is good so Gears 6 in the future can be great. I would hate for Gears to die. I love the games
The only thing I'm hoping is that they improve on Gears 5's horde. The campaigns of the Gears franchise has almost always enthralled me, but I couldn't stick with 5 as much. The horde is by far the best in the series ever since they put the much needed updates into it.
But Gears Tactics 2 when?
Geoff calling The First Descendant "a looter shooter with a grappling hook" is the most game journalist take possible. If you watch the gameplay and also understand how Warframe progression works, you get it.
Are you saying Warframe isn't a looter shooter?
Bro he doesnt even know there’s actual gameplay out there he just be talkin dawg
@@Jetiko27 I'm saying the most generic terms are the least useful, which appears to be reflected in Bricky saying he doesn't know what it is.

Thing is Geoff really can't do direct product comparisons as a paid marketeer
Black Myth Wukong is allowed to have a no gameplay cutscene trailer for once given it's been showing off step by step development gameplay for like 3 years already
Dragon Age fan here, the reveal trailer for Veilguard feeling too Marvel-y is exactly people's issue with it. Along with what appears to be a severe removal of a lot of beloved mechanics from previous games. Dragon Age is a dark fantasy with higher fantasy elements, but always kind of had that darker tone even when they went a little more High Fantasy with Inquisition. Veilguard, originally Dreadwolf, has been in development hell for nearly 10 god damn years. Pretty much everyone who made Dragon Age...well...Dragon Age, have either left Bioware due to EA's bullshit or were part of the lay offs. So the Veilguard reveal along with the gameplay has been met with a resounding 'meh' or 'what the fuck is this bullshit' from long time fans.
Ironically, the first Dragon Age was advertised as a spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate at the time (given that Bioware did the first 2) and now we have Baldur's Gate 3 doing what Dragon Age Origins did, but better, and is now the gold standard for high quality CRPG's.
I mean, comparing DA:O to BG:3 is a wild stretch. Like, of course it's better. It would be an embarrassment if it wasn't this many years later.
@@alexlyster3459Most of what I've seen of BF3 is some degree of goofy. DAO was dark and edgy, in a good way.
After all we learned about Veilguard I think it's gonna be fine.
@@PsycordeI will never get how people think BG3 is a spiritual successor to DAO. They are wildly different games with different intentions.
@@Knight1029 Bro at what point did I say BG3 was a spiritual successor to DAO? I was just comparing the two due to their very loose connections from games made 10-30 years ago.
Just a little correction. Gears of War had an in-engine trailer, not a pre-rendered one. Small but important distinction.
In engine doesn't mean in game. You can make movies in Unreal Engine, doesn't mean it's playable
It's still pre-rendered. Wtf are you even on about?
@@zeroskaterz92. In-engine is not pre-rendered; Pre-rendered would mean pure CGI.
@@dragonbornexpress5650 No, it's not. Pre-rendered means it's not rendered in real time by the hardware.
What @@zeroskaterz92said
I would just like to add, Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is actually doing something really fun! You get to play through the events of the Dragon Ball story, yes, but you actually get to alter the canon choices of characters and you get cool What If scenarios! I myself don't know much beyond that and I'm not much of a DB fan but I just thought it'd be nice to mention :)
Most Dragon ball games have done that, I think only one or two haven't. So if that sounds cool you could play that right now at a probably cheaper price
@@NSDP15 you are lying out of your ass lmao. This game lets you create entire what if stories, and these different choices in the story actually changes the outcome of that saga.

i find it a bit weird how you are unaware of many of these games existing before the trailers, i get that you can't keep up with everything but stuff like avowed has been announced years ago (gameplay a few months ago)
Best explanation for The First Descendant, as someone who participated in its closed alpha... It's a bit like destiny in gameplay and progression... and by a bit I mean mostly.
Bricky my brother in christ that gears anouncement wasnt pre rendered
The first descendant had open betas you can look up to find gameplay, it was really fun. Idk why they didn't have gameplay in the trailer.
What do you mean you're not expecting Dragon Age to be a grim dark vibe? Origins starts with a ritual where most of the recruits die a painful but quick death, after (in my origin of choice) your whole family is betrayed and almost all of them die.
Yeah origins was pretty grim dark, but each subsequent entry has gotten a bit less so (though da2 has some pretty dark moments). Maybe that’s why he didn’t see it as such? Idk

Pros and cons on Xbox showcase
Pros: Oh my God they really did cook. Fable & Gears always has a place in my heart.
Cons: They're really pushing gamepass hard and I'm afraid even if the games are successful, they're gonna close down the studios and they said they learned this lesson with Lionhead Studios Fable and I bet they're gonna say.. "We learned our lesson with Tango Gameworks Hi-Fi Rush"
My brother in Warhammer, i think you have a fear of a good Warhammer game, like there is some kind of trauma that dosnt allow you to belive it can be good. Like something hurt you as a child and now you can't proccess a warhammer game not dissapointing you, so you preemptively hype yourself down for it. Because every single reveiwer that was brought down to play the demo was super hyped.
Is he wrong to fear?
@@mrjtfang2 I'm not saying he can't be skeptical. But he seems to be bending over backwards to find something wrong with the game, like he has some kind of agenda. Especially when every person (I've seen) who had hands on with the demo, said it was sick.

maybe bricky played Fire Warrior but just deleted the memory of it from his conscious mind
To give insight regarding the Finals. Season 3 came with a massive shakeup which didn't respond well with the community primarily with ranked being the Then LTM mode Terminal Attack which is like every tactical shooter out there. A lot of people (myself included) were scratching our heads in this sudden change considering that a lot of the people were drawn to cash out and it being the ranked mode. Embark had stated going into the new season that they wanted give an opportunity to refine cash out but still be the core of what the game is in terms of content and World Tour being one of the few steps into that. As of now, TA is having its own share of issues and people who casually play cashout are now having to deal with a seemingly unbalance matchups as those who played cashout Ranked last season are now roaming in the World tour mode. I am still gonna play the season cause I'm just curious in how it plays out. I still love the game for what its worth and this season really is a litmus test for Embark in how they handle this going forward.
The buffs to melee and alot of guns makes the game fresh again! It was getting really stale with everyone holding mouse 1 with full auto guns. I enjoy the chaos, destruction, and clutch plays! 😊

That Gears trailer genuinely made me consider getting an Xbox again. As a fellow 95 zoomber who played a sickening amount of gears and read the books, all I have ever wanted was a prequel series(YOU STAY IN THE CORNER JUDGEMENT) so here's hoping this could turn into something really good!

Bricky, I remember dragon age being pretty grim and dark, with the second game basically being how many people do you want to sacrifice, and oops, you just decided which sibling is going to die, your mother is sacrificed/murdered and oops you´ll never see your remaining sibling again/is dead.

Only real ones have been following Jeff Lew’s killer bean devlogs for the past 3 years 💯🔥🗣️
While I enjoy the rants, its kind a funny and annoying that his major complaint about alot of the games having lack of gameplay and trailers are games that have had a decent chunk of gameplay and trailers well before Summer Games Fest. Some weeks to months before it, and some games even having beta's that showcase off tons of gameplay. I understand being busy and that he's not a gaming journalist, but if you're gonna do a rant about these things maybe you should do a bit more research about the games in question before hand? Maybe that's just me and I also agree that I hate when companies only show pre rendered trailers, not gonna disagree there.

Gears of War: E-Day, has me feeling all kinds of warm and fuzzy.
That’s some warm cup of childhood nostalgia right there.
Bricky not giving Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 its due respect is the greatest crime to this video.
I think an abstract short cinematic trailer like for E-Day is fine because it’s not trying to blur the lines between pre-rendered set pieces and actual gameplay. Not to mention that the cinematic trailers are basically a staple of the gears of war franchise at this point.
Gears of War has been absent for so long because as The Coalition (hate that studio name btw) was wrapping up the Hivebusters DLC for Gears 5 in late 2020 most of the studio got tasked with supporting 343 with finishing Halo Infinite. As a result, preproduction for this new Gears of War wouldn't have started until mid-2022 at the absolute earliest. Ironically this all now means that the gap between the releases of Gears 5 and Gears of War E-Day will be roughly the same length as the gap between Halo 5 and Halo Infinite.
"More devs, more games, more money" Execs need to realise this instead of juggling them between games.

The Coalition really cooked with the E-day trailer. The fact that they also mentioned that they'd return to the "Gear of War" nomenclature instead of simply "Gears" is also a good sign together with their intention to return to the more gritty style of GoW 1 and 2. I cant wait for more info on it.
Hey there Bricky! Summer games fest had it's ups and downs but I'm so glad about that new Alan Wake DLC! Hope things are good man! PS. Fragpunk reminds me a lot of Friends VS Friends!
I think the reason we like some pre-rendered trailers more than others is that they communicate the game better. Some of the worst trailers I’ve seen tell you nothing about what the game is actually gonna be like and leaves you confused. The Gears of War trailer tells you everything you need in little time. We immediately got the setting and how desperate everything is. And it’s a setting people want to know more about since we see very little of that time.
I'm hoping Bricky eventually goes into the latest Dragon Age trailers, very interested to see his thoughts on them because they are.....something...
I find it funny that they had one ridiculously bad trailer and then had to spend the next week showing ingame footage to promise people the game was actually good
Something… I’m excited for!
the trailer at the xbox showcase was one of the few interesting ones honestly. AAA game trailers usually look and feel so utterly indistinct from eachother these days, but Veilguard genuinely has like a good sense of trying to build atmosphere and personality through aesthetics and art.
They were always going to show the gameplay though@@megatennepster3833
@@megatennepster3833it was incredibly bad. Amazingly, bad for this decade in development AAA.
Looked like a phone moba. And then it turns it wasn't.
Seeing gears of war and a proper locust brings a tear to my eye and hope in my heart.
