    Another great video. Great that you take the time to learn the history of the places that you show us. As far as the core samples go; look at the holding boxes to see if there is any reference to where the samples came from, or any other information they may have marked. Strange that they would collect cores, but not record any of that information. Also strange that the cores were not consumed to look for whichever elements/metals they were mining for. Great job!

      Thank you Grant! It’s really a blessing to live in Dayton and learn the history of the Comstock Lode. I forgot to mention that this part of Dayton is within the boundaries of the Comstock Lode. The boxes do have markings on them, but they are deteriorated and difficult to read. I agree with you on why they left them without assaying them. My guess is the individual may have passed away. Thank you for your great thoughts, I’ll have to ask Joey why they left the cores at his place and forgotten about. Take care and we’ll see you on the next one.
