You need a modern metal detector. It finds gold. Scan gold flakes and/or nuggets to see and hear how different size samples of gold gives you different codes. Even scan a pile of gold to see how more gold makes the machine respond.
@@88997799 Thanks my friend. I have a Gold Monster 1000. I only bring it when I feel like it. I appreciate you being here with us. Have a safe and Happy New Year 🤗
Is there silver chloride in any of your ore? If yes, wouldn’t you lose all of it by washing it?
@@Dr.BG_23 Hi there! That’s a great question! From my experience from washing most ore and some from not washing it is that a majority of my beads are Electrum from both process. Here at the Comstock Lode in Virginia City, Nevada, the lode consists of both gold and silver. I know I lose some material because it is super fine, but the percentage of what I truly lose I’m not sure. What I have learned about the loss is that I need to upgrade my washing process. In time I will figure it out. I’m sure I’ll need to wait for better weather to upgrade my sluicing process. Thank you for the great question and for being here. Have a safe and Happy New Year 💪🏻
Great work on this one, loved it!

@@gitnitdun Thanks JB, I had to go back yesterday and do a lot more work 🤣🤣🤣 if you go back there and go south about 500 feet there’s a lot more great ore that you’d love. Make sure you make enough room in your vehicle to take all that ore to your mill 💪🏻

You would know where the concentrated higher grade gold is located in this drift mine by learning how to apply physics in dowsing for sought elements. In the 1970's my father and I reverse engineered the physics involved in dowsing, which are the same physics that energizes the alarm on electronic metal detectors. Then we invented the modern light weight ball bearing dowsing rod for locating our old core-drill on the exact center of gold and silver veins that are buried under 200 feet of glacier rock and till, with working out perfectly for us. I wrote the book to teach the world how to apply physics in dowsing for sought elements. My book: The Art of Dowsing - Separating Science from Superstition ($14.95), by Michael Fercik, explains all the physics involved in dowsing and teaches how to build the modern light weight ball bearing dowsing rod, which is the only dowsing rod that accurately gauges the element being dowsed by pitting the energy of gravity against the energizing of the pure one-tenth ounce dowsing rod load that is tapped onto the ELENATED acetylene welding rod at five inches from the hub's shaft, which is free spinning on ball bearings. This precisely gauges the dowsing of all edges, exact center, depth buried with angle of deposition, and most important is grading or deciphering the amount of the dowsed element that is contained in the elemental mass that is being dowsed. Anybody can become a professional dowser by practicing and mastering the dowsing lessons that are taught in my book. I hope dowsing enriches your life intellectually and financially.

Very cool 😊
Nice work Ernie. You have really got this process down.
@@grantlucas2012 Thank you Grant. Here’s a question I’m looking for an answer? I hope you have some insight for me. By using less Potassium Nitrate will it cause the lead prill to be smaller? In my last two smelts, one lead prill weighed 2 grams, the last one weighed less than 1 gram? I normally use 40g of Potassium Nitrate per 100 grams of concentrate and my lead prills would normally weigh between 8g - 12g. The lead prill that weighed 2g I used 20g of Potassium Nitrate, the prill that weighed less than 1g I used 16g of Potassium Nitrate. The reason why I cut down the amount of Potassium Nitrate was to not over oxidize the concentrate. So it seems my lead prills are smaller due to less Potassium Nitrate being used. I know I need to run a test on that, but I was hoping you might have an answer for me. Also, in a text message to me, it was brought up that I may want to use less borax. Would you have any thoughts on this? Thanks Grant, I’ll chat with you later 🤗

Very interesting to see the changes. Where is the water? I definitely would love to dig around there.
@@jamesculver829 Hi JC, Gold Canyon Creek is about 800 ft down past the dam. The ravine has a natural runoff from the rain and snow and dries when the rain stops and the snow melts. The creek is seasonal and is supplied by the rain and snow up in Virginia City. Some individuals believe there is ground water that surfaces early in the morning on the west side of the creek. I tend to believe them as there is water in the morning but not there in the afternoon. It’s pretty fun to dig around there but it’s mainly on private property. Have a Merry Christmas JC.
