So fun little fact (maybe) each Bachelor/Bachelorette has a "canon" pair, though since the game doesn't progress timewise aside from changing seasons none of them really mean anything. But Alex/Hailey is one. Which is why they're usually together at festivals and have good chemistry between their personalities. The rest are; Sam/Penny Sebastian/Abigail Harvey/Maru Elliot/Leah Shane/Emily And don't worry you aren't stealing anyone since ConcernedApe didn't program any of these to have real meaning but you'll see these pairings at the Flower Dance and hints through character dialoge/events. Sidenote: Mods are so fun but even if you don't wanna do a modded playthtough there's a few quality of life ones you could add to a vanilla playthrough that only enhance your experience and make it a bit easier (UI Info Suite 2 and Lookup Anything to name a few)
Little reminder, each season has 28 days, and crops does not grow if you not water them, so if you want to harvest some strawberries you need to water them all the days. Also strawberries are Maru and Demetrius favorite gifts
I don’t like being Shane’s enabler so I gift him pizza and pepper poppers. He likes those too. Leah likes driftwood, the homeless guy, I forgot his name, likes foraged items, old man George likes either leeks or spring onions, and Elliot likes crabs, duck feathers, and pomegranates. That what I can remember off the top of my head. I think everyone likes diamonds. Oh! Willy likes fish.😅
34:37 If you plant the Strawberries early enough, you'll be able to get 2 harvests from them before the season changes. I think the deadline is spring 16, but of course that's assuming they get watered every day. I just skip them the first year, or I only buy a couple to grow later in my Greenhouse, because I find it too stressful to have to time my finances so that I'm able to buy a lot on that one particular day.
39:08 That was really well done! I mostly skip the Egg Hunt, just go AFK while the timer runs. I did manage to beat Abigail once, but even then I only got 7 or 8 eggs and that was really hard. You got 9 or 10!
Oh, I'm so glad you tried one of the arcade games! It was so fun to see you play Journey of the Prairie King. That makes me wonder what you'll think of the second arcade game, Junimo Cart! It's the arcade machine next to the Prairie King one. About the mines: you don't need a torch. You can axe one off the ground in the mines. You might also find a glow ring in there which can help you with some dark levels that pop up later though! You did so well in the egg hunt too! Congrats!!!
4:10 I try to have an "every-day carry", stuff I always have with me, and as I upgrade my backpack that list expands. I like to carry the Scythe because it's safe as a selected tool, I won't randomly lose Energy or time if I mis-click. Maybe that's more of a concern on mobile. The Hoe is super useful for the worm tiles. If I want to be able to spontaneously visit the Mines then I EDC my Pickaxe. I'll have a Chest in the Mine Entrance cave with Torches and Energy food, and initially my Sword is stashed there too, but I often need the Pickaxe home on the farm, so that's an EDC. I've tried to do a "spontaneous fishing" doctrine, where I EDC my Fishing Pole and then spontaneously do 3-4 throws once or twice most days, in different bodies of water, but I'm not super keen on the fishing mini game. Playing v1.5 I'd often do logging outside of my farm, so that the trees on my farm can drop seeds to reproduce, but with 1.6 I almost always leave off-farm trees alone so that they can grow Moss for me. This does mean I have to plant 5-10 tree seeds every so often, to refresh my Wood supply (you'll need many thousands of Wood!) but it also means I don't EDC the Axe. As I become able to visit more parts of the game world, I start to EDC my Sword or other weapon, because it's useful or needed in several places, but I still mostly hold my Scythe as the selected item, because while mis-clicks on the Sword don't cost Energy, the animation wastes a lot of time. And then I EDC spammable gifts (apart from the 2 children and 3 of the young villagers, all like vegetables) and sometimes also cheap gifts for Linus, Granny Evelyn and Leah.
I personally didn't start modding Stardew till I got perfection, but that's just me as a completionist. I would definitely recommend playing just base game till you find yourself getting bored at least, but as others have surely mentioned there are mods that don't change any gameplay aspects
Marnie does sell those "cat trees", I think it is the only cat toys in the game but you can put hats on him (or is pumpkin a girl?). Anyways, you do want to complete that spring foraging bundle ASAP, unless you plan to join Joja mart, you will have to grow some things for the community center and the time to grow a cauliflower is closing. There is never a huge hurry in Stardew but unlocking the greenhouse for the winter helps a lot. Otherwise, it might be time to consider what type of farm you want. If you are focusing on growing things, you want to plant more seeds and do the mine a bit so you unlock sprinklers. Watering crops get old fast. If you instead are going for animals (you know, making cheese, mayo, truffle oil and cloth) you need to cut down some trees and quarry stone while earning money to afford a barn and a coop. Actually growing crops is the fastest way to earn money early on together with your favorite, fishing. 😁Foraging does sadly not really bring in the big Gs. You could of course also go down the adventurer path and look for gems in the mines, it is a bit less profitable later but should earn you some money initially. I think fishermen is out unless you focus on crab cages, it does not seem to be your favorite part exactly. The social aspect does not come with a great paycheck even if Lewis and Pierre sometimes mails you bribes if they like you. Most people who go for growing crops as their cash cows eventually becomes wineries although some make vegetable juice or preserves instead, a few even go for creating mushroom farms with the logs they unlock from reaching foraging lvl 4. It can be pretty profitable too and is way less labour heavy then growing crops. With animals, most people go for either truffles or goat cheese. While it is easiest early on to go for a coop and selling mayo, the coop is far less profitable then the barn. It is also less work though, since you will have to milk goats and cows and cut sheeps wool while chickens and ducks just lay their eggs by themselves. You do get some money for the quest to build a coop, but don't feel like you must start there, it is just what you prefer. In either case, if you go for animals, start by building a silo. It is a small cost and you will need the hay for rainy days when the animals wont go out and during the winter, having it ready and using the scythe on some grass to fill it helps a lot. I think the only thing you should be in a hurry with is that spring foraging bundle, as for the rest you can just do things in the tempo you want to. Or, you know, you could join the Joja mart instead, then all you need is to earn money. Join us - Thrive. 😅
thank you for this, geniunely so helpful. since i got distracted so much by cat and egg hunt i think ill focus on farm (and i wanna go to the mines real quick again) next video!! thank you so much!!
I’m throughly enjoying this series! I was also lost at the start at my first playthrough. But i got better and the wiki was a godsend! I married elliot the first time just bc he was the first one i fully befriended. And without even knowing his loved gifts, i just gave him shells! (I secretly wanted Sebastian, but elliot won the race) I sadly lost that game file 😢 but on my second file i married Sebastian and had 2 kids with him 🤭
"Yay, Lewis!" Ok, that's a first haha
I appreciate anothe Harvey stan, he likes pickles, coffee, wine and super meal, among other things, best malewife

@@flyinghawkbutt Np. And yeah, getting up your farmer skill helps, unlocking sprinklers is a game changer (particularly the advanced sprinklers).
I highly HIGHLY recommend subnautica lol phenomenal game
If you like card games with a hint of horror I highly recommend inscription
always wanted to play this, is it a very long game?
@flyinghawkbutt about 12hr at max not too long
You can buy a cat tree from Marney, but the cats don't interact with it 😫
Also, make sure to visit that abandoned house on the 17th
