    Thanks for your clear explaining. In this part you've created a drumtrack, but it's also the right field to create music with any other instrument, including VST-plugins, I suppose. And that's what I'm looking for. Thanks again for your tutorials.

      You are correct, this is the field for all other instruments or 'engines'.
      Please view some of my other tutorials, where I explain how to use some of these other VST's.

    Great video, I was just wondering after the objecr/ loop has been made can it be saved as a loop to put in any track.

    • @LPGexpert
      @LPGexpert  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Kel-C Photography.
      You can save the object for reuse in other projects. Magix doesn't make this obvious, but try this...
      Hover over the object. Right-click your mouse button and select [Save object as take...]. Select a folder of your choice where you want to save the object (or create a folder of your own). Give the object a name of your choice and Magix will save it as a .TAK file. I have not yet found a function within Magix to insert the object into a project, but it can be done. Using Windows File Explorer, open the folder where you stored the object. With Magix up and running, drag and drop the object into any available track. The title of the object will be whatever filename you gave it, together with the Instrument you used to create it and the tempo. Don't forget, as with every single object in all of the tracks, Magix doesn't physically insert the object, just a pointer to the object and the folder it is stored in. This is important to remember because, if you use the object in multiple projects, then you move that object to a different folder, none of the projects that use it will contain the object anymore because Magix is looking for it in the wrong place. Therefore, it's worth saving all of your objects in one place and naming them to something you easily recognise.
      I hope this helps and thanks for watching. 👍

    any way to change the velocity during recording with MIDI

    • @LPGexpert
      @LPGexpert  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Zachary.
      The recording velocity is controlled by the MIDI keyboard driver itself within Windows. If you have velocity (pressure-sensitive keys) turned on, MAGIX will record the velocity for you. Personally, I have mine turned off altogether, so the velocity is always at 100%. This does, of course, assume your MIDI keyboard has a suitable driver to control this.
      However, at the bottom of the MIDI Editor there are a series of vertical bars - one for every note you played. These bars can be increased or decreased as required to adjust the velocity of each note. The colour of the bars changes depending on how much you have adjusted the velocity.
      I hope that helps.

  • @lisasimpson8895
    @lisasimpson8895 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    thanks for the video, man! it's very helpful. i've been having a problem with the midi editor: everytime i try to change the length of a bar it gets too big and i can't make it the length i want. it's always the same length. so i can't really edit things properly. for instance, if i want a note to last 1/4 of a tempo, when i try to change it the only outcome is a note that lasts 1 tempo. that's really annoying and i don't know how to fix...

    • @LPGexpert
      @LPGexpert  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi cris_dsc
      Your fix is really simple. The reason you can't 'split' the object into small enough 'chunks' is because of what's called the 'Grid quantization value' in the MIDI editor. Basically, there aren't enough 'segments' in each bar of the object.
      Try this...
      Double-Click your MIDI object (even if it's a blank, empty object). Above the MIDI object track are some icons. About half way along the icons you will see a padlock and a hash (#) symbol with a drop-down list nest to it with a number in it. The number is probably '1'. Click on the drop-down list and select '32' or '64'. This will split each beat into that number of sections and you can drag each sub-object onto each of those grid points. I hope this helps. Good luck.

    Dude thank you..I was wondering if you can make your own sound

    • @LPGexpert
      @LPGexpert  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Tez.
      Yes, you can make your own sounds, but this is best done by using the Vita or DN-1 Synthesiser (it can also be done with just about any of the instruments but with varying or limited adjustment controls). You can pick out a sound that sounds something similar to what you want and then play around with all the envelope and sound characteristics controls to 'mold' the sound to what you need. It takes a little time to master all the controls and it can be a bit complex - sometimes the slightest adjustments can make a massive difference to the sound, but using this method allows you to produce almost any sound you want. Hope this helps.
      Thanks for watching.

    After we create the objet where we save it ? Can we chose a soundpool and send there ?

    • @LPGexpert
      @LPGexpert  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Duro Vix.
      I tried to do this, but it would only allow me to save it as a 'clip', rather than a complete object. I still don't know how to do it, because I gave up trying!

      I have some bugs in the software do you ? it's the visual. Some times the page gone the mixage s'gone or other and some times the software crash for nothing and I lost my work. I ask magix for that they always told me the same think. To update my graphic cart . It's not my computer it's the software.

    • @LPGexpert
      @LPGexpert  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello 48884BB
      Thank you for your comments. Yes, when you run Magix it takes exclusive control of your sound card, so no other program can use it at the same time. This is quite normal. Slightly frustrating, but normal. Thanks for watching.

    • @48884BB
      @48884BB 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Philip V sweet, thanks :D

    • @LPGexpert
      @LPGexpert  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a good piece of information, Philip V. But, it doesn't always work on every system. I use exactly the same settings but no other program can produce sound at the same time. I've even used Windows Control Panel to prevent programs takink exclusive control of the sound card, but that didn't work either. It's something I can live with though.
