The death of Eric Morecambe = the death of TV as we know it. TV today is utter rubbish compared to yesterdays TV. The likes of Morecambe and Wise, the two Ronnies, Dave Allen & Harry Worth. Tommy Cooper, David Nixon,Mike Yarwood and Stanley Baxter and Dick Emery to name but a few. They made Christmas special with their Christmas Specials.

Jackie Lord The greatest comedy double act ever i watch all the programmes and Love them to bits Eric Morecambe is one of those natural gifted comedians who could turn the most innocent line into something that could sound so filthy and Ernie Wise as well was the perfect partner for him and very funny in his own right i was 11 when Eric Morecambe died and i can still remember watching the news with tears running down my face singing "Bring Me Sunshine" God Bless Morecambe and Wise
He`s my all-time favourite comedian and will be sadly missed and definitely bring him sunshine with Ernie Wise, and it won`t be the same without him, but I do like their shows as well as their Christmas shows which became the British institution, and they will be sadly missed, as well as Ernie Wise also be missed, and they are still great comedy duo forever.

I remember hearing about Eric Morecambe's death two weeks short of my fourteenth birthday (same age as his son Steven).
