      Yes it’s definitely a great robot, however it may not be the best for other people with a lot of carpet in their house, as its carpet vacuuming isn’t that great

      @@skillz2tthemaxx157 yeah that was definitely a smart choice, but to anyone who does have some carpet, it’s not terrible at vacuuming them, it’s just not great with embedded debris

    Where is the clean water tank on robot? I understand a large clean water tank at the base station but there needs to be one on robot while cleaning. Right?

    What about a mix of carpet and hardwood. Does the mop roller lift to avoid dragging a wet roller over the carpet.

    • @vacuumnerds

      If your carpet is average low pile carpet it will be ok. it lifts 12mm or ..47". If you have taller carpet, I would set it up to do the carpets first, and then mopping afterward.

    They should ditch one of the side brushes so it wont make a mess with liquid spills, I guess if the camera based AI is good enough they can program it to avoid the side with the brush and mop it such that spills wont make a mess.

      @vacuumnerds  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      I have a multi floor house. I leave the unit on one floor. You can tell it which floor map to use and it will wash the mop before it starts. Then move the robot to the floor you’re cleaning. You can specify how many square feet you want it to clean before it washes the mop. I set it to do the whole floor. You could move the base unit, but it’s a bit heavy.

      I don’t think you’d want any powered mop to clean that up. Robotic, stick, or anything that could spread feces around without an immediate thorough clean. not to mention needing to clean the mop after that. Those kinds of messes should be cleaned up by hand.

    Definitely not the first, I have my XWOW R2 for 2 years now. It works amazing and no issues. Super quiet especially when it is on 'mop only' mode, great to use at night when sleeping. Has Lidar and continuously cleans the roller, nothing was on the market. All the others robot mops were glorified Swiffer wet pads. Bought my XWOW for $300 when it was on sale, fraction of what Eufy is pricing there's at $1500.

    I have toddlers and I must ask because I have a wet dry vac mop roller… anyways will this thing pick up noodles and stuff thrown on the ground? My mopping vacuum that I have now will pick up noodles and just about anything else. Also, does the vacuum roller suck up wet stuff or does it know not to do that and ruin the vacuum system?

    • @vacuumnerds
      @vacuumnerds  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don't think any robot vacuum will do very well with wet noodles. I have not tested it, but a robot just does not have the storage capacity or the sensors to recognize something like noodles.

    Hi there! I just returned my Dreame x40 because I felt it didn't always catch dried stains. Overall it was a good unit but I need something that has more powerful mopping capability, I am not as concerned with carpet (the Dreame has better suction than the Eufy but mopping is more important to me).
    Would you say that the mopping capability is better with the Eufy S1 Pro vs Dreame x40?
    Oh and the obstacle avoidance of the Dreame X40 wasn't flawless, it got tangled up in things occasionally (cat toys specifically) and every so often got caught in tight spaces and needed to be retrieved. Did you experience any of these issues with the Dreame X40? If you have any other observations pros/cons of the Eufy over the Dreame worth mentioning would love to hear them as well.
    Oh one other thing, i followed your link for the $200 off but it isnt giving it to me. Just takes me to the Eufy standard purchase page. Is there a discount code you can provide that you can input into that promo field at checkout?
    Thanks and sorry for the long comment! ;)

    I see you’re pouring liquid in front of the robot. Since this robot is always vacuuming and the rollers and vacuuming are the first things to go over this liquid.. can you show us the state of the rollers and bin after it’s gone over liquid? I’ll wait

    • @vacuumnerds
      @vacuumnerds  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There isn't enough suction to pull a lot of liquid directly into the opening. However, the onboard tank and overall design have been developed with liquid in mind. There is a dirty water tank on board to capture excess liquids. It's there for this purpose. I showed it in one of the videos I've made on the S1. FYI - I can't post a video reply here. This isn't Tiktok.
