I drove a 245hp gti and it felt way quicker than this and this has 275hp. You'de be better of buying a second hand gti than this imo.
They must've done something to the suspension. I've driven the old one and, recently, the new one and they are very composed. Regarding acceleration the new one with the DCT is a must have.
what a great review as always, this is the thing that most people don't really understand is that Hyundai is making great cars. especially N cars, total respect for the N division of Hyundai, and respect to the owner because the 25 added HP really made a noticeable difference on camera so I'm pretty sure the real-life difference is very good.

Modded mine cosmetically, the only thing i did to the engine was change the intake to a pipercross one (highly recommended, sounds awesome and super easy to fit) i also recommend to leave the engine mods alone until the warranty expires, trust me, ive had a few leaks here and there but without this warranty, i'd have had to of sold this car by now, would recommend buying an i30N with at least 2 years left on the warranty. And did any i30n owners clock that he changed the suspension and didn't select custom N Mode? i found it quite funny

this car reminds me so much of my old scirocco 2000 TSI Revo stage 2😆😆😆 ... lots of torque delivered in a brutal way and the feeling of grinding the transmission when stepping on the gas in the wet ... I guess it goes a little better in the dry😅😅. .. shame about this n30 transmission too long ... does not take advantage of the sixth😭😭😭😭
It's such a shame they don't make rally homologation specials anymore. That's why people lost any interest in rallying in the first place. Imagine if this was all wheel drive.
Pro tip: When driving the car at those speeds, set the suspension to comfort. Having it at stock N setting is a recipe for disaster over bumpy public roads.

I'm always amazed how people will only use the left lane to pass in Europe. Here, there could be 6 cars on the freeway and 4 of them will be driving in the left lane
It's part of traffic laws to use the right lanes. Left lane is for passing only. So if you're fast enough you can stay there as long as you are passing others. But remember, there always is someone behind you who is faster then you are. 😅

You changed the custom suspension to Normal but didn’t change your drive mode to N Custom, that suspension change did nothing 🤷♂️
