Of course, Revoscan 5.0 works with all of Revopoint's previous scanners.

will revoscan 5.0 properly support the mini so the scans work properly? I only had problems with any current revoscan software, no matter whether I turned off the light, had dark cloths as a background or used a lot of scan spray. Always problems with the tracking and therefore no correct scan result or 3D object. When will the calibration software for the Mini be available?

I don’t work for the company and I’m not an expert, but I can say that I’ve found the software gets better with each update, and I also get better at using the system the more practice I get. You may find their forums helpful.

Can you use the range for smaller objects? Like a banana for example.

You could, but you may get better detail with one of their other scanners like the POP2 or Mini
